I would definitely recommend this shop. My husband and I have been taking our two cars here for maintenance and repairs for 4 years. The people at North Hollywood Auto are great mechanics who genuinely care about making sure your car is running properly. They explain repairs and options to you and work with you to determine what will be done. They are conveniently located near the NoHo metro station so you can drop off your vehicle and take the metro that day. But they will also give you a ride if needed. Oh, and they are friendly too! ------- I just went back to this place again. Here is my review for this visit: My side view mirror was broken and needed to be repaired. The people here took the time to look at it and see if there was a less expensive option than replacing the whole fixture with a Factory part. Sadly we had to go the expensive route but they showed me exactly why. The part arrived quickly and the mirror was replaced in a couple of hours, along with an oil change and an air filter replacement. The mirror looks like new. You would never know it was replaced. They were courteous and kept me informed. I have been going here four years and their service is consistently excellent.

It can be so hard to know who to trust with car repairs in a big city like Los Angeles. Seems theres a mechanic on every corner that is ready to tinker around under the hood. It takes a shop that sees the big picture to get my business. I found that at North Hollywood Auto they know how getting a car repaired is not just about fixing the mechanical problems, its about mitigating the "lifestyle inconvenience" that goes along with it for their customers. NHA has clean and safe facilities and friendly knowledgeable staff that understand what real service is about. Theyve always demonstrated good communication skills with me and performed repairs that would get to the root of the problem - not just perform a work-around. PLUS - I love that they are just a block away from the Redline Station, making it easy for me to drop my car and still get to my office in Hollywood on time for work! I found NHA through my AAA membership and Im glad that I did. Only the best and most committed shops can meet and maintain the standards it takes to be AAA certified year after year. I simply wont take my car anywhere else.

Overpriced, unhelpful and kind of shady—but polite! They are dishonest about their pricing. When I asked about a diagnostic, they said they didn’t charge unless they had to take things apart. They charged me $135 for a visual inspection and a code scan. (I actually gave them the code when I got there, so the code scan was unnecessary.) The guy ended up taking off a flex hose and putting it back on for no apparent reason—I guess just so they could charge me for 60 seconds of “taking things apart.” Bottom line: I paid $135 to learn nothing I didn’t already know. Also, the quote to fix my car was way too expensive: over $800. The labor takes about an hour and the part only costs $300. Why would anyone pay over $500 an hour for labor? I thought the staff here was polite. They kind of lecture you about how cars work, which gets annoying if you know anything about cars, but at least they know what they’re talking about. If you know nothing about cars and have a lot of money to spare, this place is probably great. Otherwise, I’d go elsewhere.

LA is a big city, but going to these guys I have always felt like I have my own perfect neighborhood mechanic. Jack and Saeed are simply good, honest businessmen who believe in high quality and excellent service. I have been going to them for around 6-7 years. They helped our family nurse along two different aging cars, and gave advice when we were ready to buy a new (used) car. I have gotten both good and bad news from them, but always felt like I had options and never felt like anything was more expensive than seemed reasonable based on my experiences with previous cars and mechanics. For those of us on a tight budget, they give good advice on which repairs are urgent and which can wait. Im now leasing a car and will have all my basic service covered through the dealership, and was actually sad to think that I might not have a reason to go see them! If you are looking for a good mechanic, go to them!

I am SO blessed to have found these guys! Every time I go the customer service is beyond excellent. They offer to give me rides back to my place if my car has to have work done at the shop. They always price quote and work to get me the best deal. Jack the owner has the good midwest hospitality and truly loves what he does! His team is willing to go above and beyond! They are AAA certified and will drop whatever they are doing to help out! I brought my car in on a whim because my tire was low. Turned out to be a nail and very dangerous. They fixed it up right on the spot- no charge. I then came back to them to do all my services and loved them ever since! I moved here from the midwest and am proud to say as a young female moving to CA a lot of businesses just run you for your money. At NoHo auto that is not the case. They made me feel at HOME!

We were wanting to purchase a used limousine from another shop in California and wanted to make sure the vehicle was going to be a good purchase. Well Jack was very professional and reassured me that their pre purchase vehicle inspection would be the way for me to make sure the vehicle was in working order. Well they were so thorough, friendly and have great communication. They found that the vehicle had engine problems and would be lots of $ to fix due to high mileage. Thank you Jack for doing your job and making sure the consumer did not get the short end of that stick. We are in Florida and I called AAA to find North Hollywood Auto Repair and Im so glad I did.

Brought in my overheating 2000 Mazda Protege. They ran a few tests and found out the repairs going to be more expensive than the cars worth. Theyd rather tell me the truth than sweeten the price a bit just so I can agree and they take my money. On top of that I complained that the other repair shop I use to go to was "expensive" and one of the mechanics said "Well were not cheap either.." which surprised me that he admitted it "..but you wont find anywhere else that would give you 2 years warranty". These guys are legit. Get you car taken care of here. The reviews and the packed parking is an indication that customers appreciate their business.

I found this shop about 10 years ago and have been going there ever since. Even after getting new cars with "free" dealer oil change, I have been going to Jack and Saeed to have my cars serviced. It is refreshing to find honest, trustworthy people who know their business and will tell you the truth about your problem and not beat around the bush. They will stand behind all that they do. I have been recommending their shop for years and If you are reading this and looking for reasurance that this is the right choice for you, youve got it. Fear not, repairs of any kind arent cheap, but here you will get what you pay for.
