After a couple months of my car making sporadic metal grinding noises I decided to get a few quotes. I called to get an estimate over the phone, but the owner couldnt decipher what my problem was with my very poor description of my car issues. I made an appointment for an inspection on a Wednesday at opening - 8:30am and they already had three people waiting for repairs! They have WIFI and water! After about 30-45 mins, the owner came and got me and we discussed the things I needed to fix. He explained and showed me what the problems were: My brake pads were completely done and my rear brake drum needed to be replaced. I appreciated that he took the time to answer all my questions and show me the pads and drums since I have no clue when it comes to cars. At no point did I feel like he was trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge nor did I feel pressured to have my car fixed. I discussed the repair with a friend and his thoughts were that the quote I got from Danny was very fair. I decided to forego all other quotes and made an appointment a couple days later. The repair took a couple hours and I received a call when everything was done. Its been a little over a week now and my car sounds great! No issues whatsoever, but I know that if I do run into any problems City Tech will take care of it.

I have had some pretty stellar experiences with this place. I can never argue with the price. The first time I came in, I had a hole in my tire, and they patched it and filled all of the tires with air for $10, really quick. Recently, I went to get my timing belt replaced, and they replaced the timing belt, fasteners, tensioners, waterpump, and seals, all for $450, with factory parts. When I got in my car, it sounded kind of rough, and the coolant was bubbly. Immediately, when I got in, the mechanic said he needed to look at it and that I would need to wait another 30 minutes. It turned out that I needed a temperature sensor, and he put another one in that day for free. I go here all of the time for routine repairs, they are really fast, and they go the extra mile to make customers happy. When I got my timing belt replaced, and they even washed my engine bay for free. You cant argue with that, and I even got all of this done, on a Sunday, in the same day. I am going to go to them for all of my routine repairs, and I recommend them to my friends. Give them a shot if you ever need anything.

I visited Rick and his team a few months ago for a second opinion on everything that needed to be done w/ my car. I originally had taken my car to the dealership for years, but this last time the quote they gave me was astronomically high. I needed a second opinion. City Tech was recommended to me by a friend, so I went to see them and was greeted by Rick. I told him all the things the dealership said needed attention. Ricks team checked the car out and came back to me quoting well under the original price I was given from the dealership. As a matter of fact, there were things on the original quote they said was not even necessary as of yet. Needless to say, they fixed what needed to be done, they were honest, and efficient. I am now a returning customer and highly recommend them.

Very dishonest shop! Went in because I thought I had an oil leak, as I saw small spots of oil where I had parked sometimes. I payed the $45 evaluation fee and afterwards was presented with a list of 5 places where my car was leaking totaling $975 to fix. I then took my car to a professional friend of the family at his shop and he showed me the places where they were claiming there were severe leaks. They were not. It was minor wear and tear, with some having no leaks at all. All and all to truly repair these minor problems, he said it would cost a maximum at an honest garage. Which this place is certainly not. I would not trust bringing my car here, and I suggest you do the same!

Ive taken several cars there and never had a problem. Tell them what you did or what your car is doing and they will do the rest. Even if your own mechanic like me, they will do it quicker and about the same cost, give or take a few dollars. These guys will take the time to listen to your gripes. Shop around you will see, they will diagnose your car and give you a quote youll be happy with. I can’t say enough, drive a couple extra miles to them and you’ll see. Furthermore, if you found out that many other mechanics are not as trust worthy as we would like them to be, just put your trust in these guys it will pay off. Needless to say, I wouldn’t say this unless it was true. E.

My family and I have been a proud returning and devoted customer of City Tech Auto Repair for over 8 years now. They are extremely honest, straight forward, and will never try any no-nonsense cross-selling. Unfortunately, they DONT DO ANY CAR INSPECTIONS IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY A USED CAR FROM A THIRD PARTY. They will only do smog checks when you decide to sell your car. My family and I have tried other car repair shops in the area. There are MANY scam artists, price gougers, and liars because Im a woman. City Tech will NOT do that to you. I respect their honesty. A definite +++ they are very competitive with their pricing. Highly recommend them!

Im a total car nut, and before moving to San Gabriel Area, I used to perform most of my own work on my cars (suspension/brakes/oil changes/other maintenance/mods/etc). After calling around to get quotes for a basic oil change, the guys at City Tech had the best rates in the area and were able to fit me in the soonest. A few months later, my car needed a new clutch and these guys had better rates than most shops in the San Gabriel Valley who I might have gone to in the past. Ive been very satisfied with them and would not hesitate to take any of my cars here for honest work done at reasonable rates.

I get out fro my town after my wife Honda comes in engine light 3rd time. I found City Tech Auto Repair in Rosemead, CA. The owner inspected the car and immediately I got a reasonable quote. He was friendly and honest. After waiting 3 h, the war was ready to hit the road back to home. The car now runs smoothly and no engine light comes on again. Very happy with the service provided. No complaints after all. I thank you personal and owner of City Tech Auto Repair in Rosemead. Very professional and knowledgable. Thank you so much for the great service. Highly recommended.

Buying a used car, I paid them $130 for a pre purchase inspection. They told me the breaks were worn, transmission fluid was low, but overall everything was good. I bought the car, and 2 days later the engine started misfiring. Turns out one of the ignition coils had cracked and the seller had taped it back together. The mechanics DIDNT NOTICE ELECTRICAL TAPE IN THE ENGINE, so they basically just took my money, glanced at the car, and sent me on my way. Either an intentional scam, or complete incompetence. In either case, avoid them.
