If I could give the USPS Paradise, CA 95969 a "0" I would but there is no option. I have had the pleasure of receiving mail from many USPS offices all over the great state of California from large cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco to small rural town like Janesville, And Hoomeland. So its safe to say I have had a lot of experience with USPS. The USPS of Paradise, CA is the worst, most unprofessional, disorganized office I have ever experienced, specifically the current acting Postmaster. I have not received my mail for nine months. I have filed many complaints, spoken directly with him, and emailed him for months and months with no resolution. I have been to the office and met with him many times. He seems to think that whatever he says at that moment will placate a consumer but then he does nothing to actually follow up with and solve any issues. He would not even allow me to finish a sentence. He is disrespectful and speaks down to me because I am a woman. I refuse to be treated this way. My banks, the DMV and so many other mail items that are time-sensitive have not been delivered which has had a very detrimental impact on my life. Recently, I ordered hundreds of dollars of merchandise from Macys and as soon as I pressed "submit order" I found that it would be sent USPS and how sorry I was. I never received the merchandise and that was weeks ago. I have filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs. I have a Consumer Affairs Advocate and have now hired an attorney to pursue this issue. We do have recourse. Very little recourse when it comes to the USPS but there are options. I will sue this USPS. I wrote a letter to the Postmaster General in Wahsington DC. Please never trust this USPS!

It cannot be easy to serve the general public. Too many people arrive at the post office totally unprepared and then expect the clerks to tape the package properly, or to send material clearly not packaged correctly--and then want to argue about it. There is also a general political grudge about government employees, as if the people who have sorted and faithfully delivered our mail for decades were overpaid devil worshippers. My own experience with the USPS has almost universally been positive, especially with the women behind the counter at the Paradise Branch, who do rather tedious jobs with good cheer and quick dispatch, who do their best to be neighborly. Cheers to them and may they continue and not be auctioned off to UPS or Fed Ex.

As long as I can get the employees I know, I usually get good, many times excellent, service. But I also know that if I go in at the last minute, especially on super busy days (when lots of crabby "Dont You Understand" naggy customers have been or are impatiently waiting [and it never occurs to them that they are]), even my friendly employees can be "stressed". Its okay, people, youre doing your best and I appreciate it. PW

Update: 5/23/2014 Rude employees (Not all but a couple of them, the lady that delivers my mail is nice) and I had to update this review because they lost my second package this month. I will no longer be using the Paradise post office for my primary shipping any more which is too bad for them as I was a weekly customer shipping packages for my business. Fed Ex has much better service and doesnt lose your packages.

JUST CALL LOCALLY. ANY USPS CONTACT NUMBER IS AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY WHERE THE MAIN PREMISE IS TO HAVE YOU SELECT FROM AN ENDLESS NESTED MENU WITH NO PEOPLE. AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO FEEL BAD WHEN WE USE OTHER OPTIONS............................................

Depends when you go. Some employees are great and others seem unhappy about working with the public. Lines usually arent bad, except during the holidays.

Attentive, speedy and courteous staff at this facility. They deal quite well with the wide range of customers that visit this busy U.S. Post Office.

Most of the employees at this post office are terrible. Nearly all of them seem excessively angry and for lack of a better term ready to go postal.
