The short version: if you live in or near Pasadena, this should be the first place you check for computer repair. - The longer version (which Ive copied from my review on Yelp): Ive worked professionally with computers for about a decade and a half in two countries and two states. During that time, Ive had the pleasure (and displeasure) of encountering great competence and great incompetence in terms of computer techs. Ive been in towns so bad that I measured my time without computers in months and finally had to ship it out of town just to get it to work. - From students trying to pay their way through college, to store chains to small independent outfits and individuals that handled work for everyone from Ford to Intel to Michael Jackson, Ive dealt with a wide variety of techs in the past. But as pleased I had been with the best of the best in the past, Connectionz Computer Repair (more specifically, Tony) has completely exceeded my expectations ever since I moved here in 2007. - Never before have I encountered a computer tech. that balanced such technical competence with great social skills and incredible customer service. I send friends that would normally need a "middle-man" or "translator" straight to him without any reservations and they always cmoe back with a smile on their faces. Its difficult to describe just how rare that is. - His turnaround times are immaculate, his rates are reasonable and Ive often been surprised by his "putting the customer first" ethic and integrity. He has never charged me more than he needed to (and often less than other places I compared to) and hes been happy to provide additional advice beyond what I paid for, just to try and improve my overall computer experience. - Well, thats my take on his work. But I think it says something about the quality of the service Connectionz Computer Repair provides when a page of 30 reviews only has one that could be described as critical (and even that one cant avoid complimenting the service in the past).

If you have any issue with your computer, go see Tony. This man is the most trustworthy and honest person I have dealt with and I feel very fortunate to have found him. Here is why. My hard drive crashed and after nearly a week of trying to get it to work on various (4) computers, I gave in and started searching for help. After some time searching, I called Tony at Connectionz and set up an appointment which includes a free estimate. Just to let you know, if you were to send a hard drive to a data recovery place, you would be looking at a coupe of hundred dollars for them to even plug in and have a look at it. The recovery itself can cost from $500 - $1200 and beyond, with no guarantees that the data will even be intact once the company takes the unit apart. My HD was badly damaged and Tony told me what my options were (and advised, no further work to the unit if I can help it) and in the end I decided to let the HD R.I.P. as many of the files were on other computers and drives. When I asked Tony, who lived with the HD for 2-days, how much the cost would be, he answered, "no cost, this is a free estimate." Now I know the free estimate offer is part of Connectionz initial consultation, but he could have easily advised me to send away for repairs and made money off of me. His honesty, work ethic and professionalism is commendable and truly appreciated. Do not hesitate to take your computer to this man and know you will be given the truth with fair (almost too fair for the customer, if that makes sense), intelligent service and exceptional customer service.

Cracked my laptop screen? NO Problem for Tony, from broken to good as new within 3 DAYS! I have the most uncanny ability to break everything computer related. After accidentally murdering the screen on my beautiful 17" laptop gifted to me by my parents...I did panic a little. Come Wednesday morning I called up Tony, because I wasnt sure what to do next. After examining the laptop, he mentioned he would have to order the screen and it may take 2 weeks for the part to arrive and to install (understandable since these products ship from NY). Then I remembered I have an Amazon Prime account (Free 2 Day Shipping), Tony gave me the part number to order, placed the order that evening, product arrived 2 days later and he installed it the SAME DAY. Broke the screen on a Tuesday evening, had it fixed and good as new in my arms Friday Night! Tony was fantastic, uber professional, and understood how important and quickly I needed my laptop. He couldve easily waited to install the screen the following week but instead he was fast, efficient, personable, and dependable in answering all my questions and easing my fears. THANK YOU TONY! I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for a reliable, honest individual for your laptop/computer/IT needs.

There is no stress in the world like your computer failing on you during finals week, with all your work on it. Thats what happened to me yesterday. Needless to say I was scared out of my mind about not being able to access files that I would need to turn in this week. A friend of mine recommended Connectionz to me to help recover the files that I really needed. Tony put my mind at ease right away by ensuring me that everything was going to be okay, and that I would have my files by the end of the day. Sure enough he delivered on his promise! He was able to get all my school work retrieved for me while I went to the movies with my girlfriend. He was quick, extremely professional, and efficient. He even opened my files for me to give me piece of mind, as I couldnt wait to reinstall the operating system to find out if my school work was still intact. I would recommend Connectionz every time to any of my friends or family who need work done on their computers. If youre looking for a PC repair company that will do it right the first time, look no further. Connectionz is the best around!

In a nutshell: Tony works honestly, quickly, and charged me less than any other quote I received. Less concisely: I shopped around for quotes a month before taking my computer in to Tony. His quote was quite a bit lower, he was rated wonderfully (and for good reason, I now know!), and he offered same-day service. He diagnosed my problem immediately and finished repairing my computer within one day instead of his estimated two. He even threw in some extra services for free and now my computer is running much more quickly. Tony is now my computer guru and someone I will enthusiastically recommend to all my friends. The only downside is that he doesnt accept credit cards. This is small potatoes, though, compared to all the good work he does.

Tony at Connectionz is the best. If you have any computer issues at all, Tony is the one. He is very trustworthy and fixes the computer perfectly. I am very touchy about my computer and do not like things jostled around. Tony treats the computer like a jewel and when he returns it, it is perfect and everything is back the way it was. Tony is committed to good service and he works quite fast. He gives good advice and really knows what is going on. He is ahead of the curve on knowledge. I would recommend Connetionz to anyone, anytime for all things related to the computer. I just found him in a panic one day when my computer crashed badly --he saved my bacon.
