I have been a customer of the Richmond Security Public Storage for more than four years. I started with a small unit and then moved to a larger unit. It took me a few extra days to move to the larger unit and the manager was kind enough to give me that extra time without charge, which I really appreciate. Unlike a different storage facility in Walnut Creek, they do not raise the rent here every six months and claim their costs have increased. The staff is friendly and competent and in fact there is not a continual turn-over of staff as there was at that Walnut Creek facility, which probably exploited its staff as much as it did its customers. I mentioned that the staff is friendly. I used to have a unit with a different company in off highway 80 and Central. Their manager once complained to me that I often left the facility just before closing. I pointed out that (1) I left before closing as was my right and (2) she had never said a friendly word to me in the five years I had been there. I would strongly recommend this facility for long or short-term storage. And, by the way, it is clean and the facilities and building are kept in good shape.

The facilities: very clean. They recently refreshed the paint. One thing I dont see a lot of is dirty dust and webs. Dont get me wrong, you will see it, its inevitable, but not like ick you dont want to touch your lock type. They do have individual alarms and if one gets set off they do come around to check it out. The people: friendly, both office staff and others storing stuff. Personal experience: Weve stored our stuff here for 2 years now. 2 units, 1 inside and 1 outside. However weve had stuff in storage for over 10 years at numerous places. This last big storm brought some damage and rats to the units. Ken, Janice, Paul & Ron have been absolutely wonderful and helpful in getting us out of the damaged unit and into a new, clean one. Overall: You can really tell a place by the cleanliness of their bathroom. This bathroom is spotless. Id rather use their bathroom than Targets. If something is dirty, tell the office and they get on it right away. The only downfall is the rent increases. When we first signed on they swore they hardly ever raise prices but weve gotten a notice every year :/ I guess its to be expected. Everyone else does it.

I would have rather gave no stars if that was an option. Getting in was beautiful. The women manager was super friendly and helpful. I loved her and was going to write a praising review of the place. Then I went to check out. Man did things change. On my last day I went to pay and sign the paperwork. No one was in the office so I called left a message at 3:20 that my storage was empty but no one was in the office. I received a phone call back after five that if I didnt drive back right then before 6:00 I would be charged another day. I was told by Steve that it was my fault for not waiting for someone to come back to the office. He was rude and disrespectful when I started asking him questions about this he started raising his voices and getting aggressive. I asked him to calm down and said he didnt have to get so mad. I WISH I NEVER GAVE THIS COMPANY MY MONEY!!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED! IF THIS IS THE KIND OF EMPLOYEE THEY HIRE DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!!!

For over a year I have used this storage facilities in the East Bay and I am very happy. So I have my little list of what Ive looked for: - helpful employees - good security with cameras - indoor unites with some level of climate control - easy access to the units - reasonable rates It seems like a basic list, but not all places provide all this. Security Public Storage does provide this, and more. The facilities are some of the cleanest I have seen and the security is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a good variety of unit sizes and shapes to meet your specific needs. The office sells a number of items that may be useful at a reasonable cost - packing boxes, bubble wrap, tape, locks, etc. In short, great great great storage facility as well as great staff!!!

place is ok , well maintained for the most part but is not very convenient in many ways ! to start , the code pad locations to get in and out of the facility are really uncomfortable to get to and are located in odd ways , they try to impose a one way traffic (which is not stipulated on the contract b the way ) and that makes it a pain not only because of the pad locations and if you are given a unit close to the gate , they want you to go all the way around anyway ! they dont do it in a right way ! I would not recommend this place ! I will vacate soon !

Excellent service, very friendly and helpfull staff, and occasional good price incentives (they had the best pricing at my move in time, and have specials from time to time). The facilities are clean, (including the truck they provided me for my move in) rates are reasonable, and security is first rate: Everything youd expect in a professionally run and maintained storage facility. What really sets them apart is that on top of all this, they are genuinely warm and embody a "beyond the call of duty" helpfullness. A completely positive experience. +++++

I was referred to this site by a family member. Once there I found the staff to be quite friendly. Muskie is my rep. He was quite knowledgeable about storage size and furniture accommodations. He helped me select the right size for my needs. The site is very clean and safe (i.e. cameras, code entry/exit). I have entered at night and felt quite safe. Access hours are a plus and also a plus is the moving van they have for rent. I would recommend this storage facility to others.

This is a convenient and clean facility that weve just started using. Muskie has been extremely helpful and has provided us with extraordinary service! I say extraordinary because it really it out of the ordinary to find folks who are patient, respectful and helpful to customers, especially when you are moving and the frustration, stress and general flustered-ness is overwhelming. I really appreciate the service that we have had here - and would definitely recommend it!

The management here is great! I came into the office near closing time and asked to view a unit (no appointment). Muskie was friendly and patient and showed me a couple of units and helped me choose the right one. He went through the options and was honest about the pricing (I didnt feel like he was trying to sell to me or anything - He genuinely wanted to help me with my storage needs). The prices here are competitive and the service is on point. Five Stars for sure.

Security Public Storage has been a pleasure to deal with. When we first made inquiries about renting a unit they answered all our questions and offered a free moving truck. Registration was smooth and they gave us easy directions to our unit. The electronic gate system is very straightforward and makes it easy to access the unit when we need to. Its great value for money and excellent customer service with Renee and Felix.
