Pretty much they did a few things good and many things poorly, especially patronize and attempt to take advantage of me, all while indirectly insulting my intelligence. They were quick on the diagnostic and getting back to me on what was wrong which was nice. They overcharged me by quite a bit, which is not unusual with shops its just the way it goes. However, in one case they quoted me $1,000 on two sensors, one of which just had to be cleaned and all the problems were solved. The cleaning solution was $8.50 at ORiley Auto Parts, they get 5 stars. So gross over pricing. When I told them I didnt want the work done, I paid $1,800 for the other work they did which is holding up and I am happy with. As I was leaving the head mechanic came out and pretty much told me that i was an idiot for not wanting to fix my car. I want to and have fixed my car, and I saved a thousand dollars in doing so. He went around and around, in a very angry and condescending tone, telling me it was a circuit problem when the day before he wanted to replace the mechanical components regarding the sensors. Basically he tried to change his story in order to try to have me change out the sensors. When he was done trying to convince me to get the work done, he mockingly told me that "I guess the customer is right, however you dont know how to take care of your car." I have gotten work done at Aamco in Southern California before, including a rebuilt transmission, which is working perfectly. This shop, however, has left a bad taste in my mouth with their actions, chiefly the customer service from their mechanic. Front desk was great at communication and getting back to me. For the sake of any future customer, research the problems online and prepare yourself for them to try and have you get needless work done so they can get extra money. Newsflash: there is a difference between consulting a customer and insulting them.

Im only giving one star simply because I have to in order to leave a review. We arrived early this morning to see if we could get some help and left extremely unhappy. First off my husband is a mechanic and do not have the proper tools to fix our truck cause we are 2 thousand miles away from home. He went inside to see if we could get someone to take a look at our vehicle or just hook up the code scanner to our truck to see what exactly is coming up wrong. The guy at the counter said he would check with his tech. This tech walks into the front office, doesnt even look my husband in the face and says out loud "So he replaced the throttle valve by himself and now it doesnt work. How does that make it my emergency? send them somewhere else." then walks out. How unprofessional and rude!! so the first guy comes back to give us a card and hand writes the address to another AAMCO location about 15 mins away. avoid this place at all costs! if they treat people like that, imagine what theyll do to your car!

I took my car into AAMCO in February because my transmission was jerking into gear. When I called the man who I talked to on the phone seemed very nice and knowledgeble so I took my car in that same day. They took my car on a test drive and couldnt find a problem other than a small electrical issue in the transmission. They told me it would take anywhere from 20minutes to 2 hours to diagnose and fix the problem so I left my car with them. I kept calling to check on the progress and the owner would say they needed more time because it wasnt running as well as they hoped. 2 weeks later I still did not have my car. The first guy I talked to on the phone I never heard or saw again. Less than 6 months later my car was doing the same thing it originally was and since I had a warranty I took my car back to them, bad choice. He told me my car would be done by tuesday and I still didnt have it by the end of that week. Needless to say, Terrible service and apparently they have no idea how to fix a car.

I was willing to give these guys a chance, but after seeing how they service thier customers I will stay away from them and warn everyone else to avoid AAMCO at all costs. I went to AAMCO to deal with my check engine light problem. Since they offer a free inspection, I thought thats great. When I took my car in, I was told it would only take an hour. I waited two hours and didnt hear anything. I then called and they said meant to call me. What should have been a simple repair ended up being a allday repair. I dropped off my car at 11:00 am and didnt get it back till 4:30 pm. My problem was fixed and it didnt cost me that much. Guese what? they didnt do that well of a job. Two days later my check engine light comes back on and I had to return back and inform them what had happened. I never experienced this before. Not to mention I never got any calls back regarding the process of my car. I encourage to anyone to avoid them at all costs.

These people are the most rude, inadequate excuses for human beings with no sense of morals let alone a clue on how to do their job or speak to a "Paying customer." With that being said, we went to several places to determine who to trust with transmission work, being aamco is supposed to be a reliable company we went with them. Got our "free" diagnosis from both aamcos claiming the same problem and it would fix everything. When we got to the shop took them a couple hrs to pull my car back and before they were done they were telling me about other things that needed to be replaced and fixed.. when I could of swore both of their shops said it was only 1 thing... Ended up paying for the 1 auto repair and the manager saying now get your car out of my shop. Upon driving home this so called fix.. not even a chip at it. If it wasnt for paying customers like us then they wouldnt have a job.

I have a 99 Dodge Ram with 150,000 miles on it. My transmission started to not want to shift and I was having to let my foot off the gas for it to shift. I spoke with 2 other un-named transmission repair shops on the phone, both of which told me that my transmission needed to be rebuilt. When I spoke to Adam he explained to me the importance of properly checking the vehicle due to all the electrical components that cause the transmission to shift. After they checked my truck they found a sensor and solenoid were bad causing my transmission not to shift. I authorized them to perform the repair at a fraction of the cost compared to what the other shops were going to charge for a rebuild. I was extremely satisfied with the time Adam took to explain everything to me, the steps they took to properly check my truck and I will be back for any auto repairs that I may need in the future.

these guys are really terrible. Dont waste your time and money. They were that bad and made me that angry that Im writing my very first review for them to tell people how they are. I gave my Toyota Corolla 2000 to them to fix its transmission. After a day they called me with a crazy price! The mechanic said it cost $3400 to get fixed! I said I bought my car less than this, do you have any other option for me and they suggest me to replace the transmission with a used one without any guarantee and responsibility from them with $2000! I went there to take my car and they charged me $40 because of the test! I said your prices are crazy and the guy smiled at me when he was inserting my card to card reader. I fixed my car plus a year warranty just for $1000. They rebuilt the transmission.
