Took 1997 Honda CR-V in for oil leak repair. After several attempts to repair and weeks of time, the vehicle still leaked oil. Honda Service Outlet charged $977.41 to replace oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, timing belt and front main crank seal. Paid for in full. Took vehicle back for another valve cover gasket - ruptured and gushed oil. Vehicle still leaks oil. Customer moved out of area and parked vehicle. Finally, had oil pan and gasket replaced at home. Still leaks oil. Took vehicle to reputable repair shop in Vacaville. In 24 hours, the repair was complete at a cost of $721.22. Tech report indicated leaking front main crank seal which had silicone RTV packed into the seal. Additionally, they installed a new water pump, timing belt tensioner, timing belt (previously installed belt was damaged with oil), front crank seal, cam seals and valve cover gasket. All wear-out parts were changed while into front of engine. Honda Service Outlet did not replace the front crank seal although it was charged for on the invoice. Apparently, they applied a "shady mechanic" stop gap fix that didnt work. Replaced seal was returned as evidence. Additionally, any reputable mechanic will replace the belt tensioner, water pump and all seals while the front of the engine is disassembled for timing belt replacement. Parts are inexpensive compared to labor. Honda Service Outlet did none of that. I have been trying to get Honda Service Outlet to pay for the successful repair. Leo initially stated he would see what he could do but has since failed to return my calls or answer emails. Leo states the repair was accomplished before he took ownership even though he was the agent who took in the repair and invoiced the job. There is a "history" regarding ownership of Honda-Acura Service Outlet. Leo Allen (aka Muhammed Ali - owner) is a smooth talker who tries to talk his way out of being accountable for the fraudulent and substandard work performed by Honda Service Outlet. Dont be fooled by the presentation. Results count and this result was unacceptable. This used to be a reputable service and repair shop before it changed hands. Now, Leo owns the shop and does not deserve the reputation that preceded his tenure. I want them to pay the bill for the repair they were paid to do in the first place. $721.22 I will be filing a claim with the Calif. Bureau of Automotive Repair Services.

We have used this shop for many years on multiple vehicles. When Kevin ran this shop, it was outstanding. He gave you a fair price, was very honest in his estimate of what was needed, and stood behind his work. I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, his wife is now running the shop and it is horrible. The responsiveness and organization are gone. The new mechanics charged us for a diagnosis, but never found the problem, and seemed generally overwhelmed. Hence the 1 star rating. Will not be back until Kevin returns.

I had kevin replace an engine in my 4Runner. I got about 3k miles out of it when it started to overheat. It turned out that the block he acquired was not properly rebuilt. Kevin charged me $4,020.50. The new block + install cost me $2,700. When I told Kevin about the problem he said the warranty had expired and I was out of luck. I told him I was going to write this review and he didnt seem to care. So much for family values hu Kevin?

I called this place of business and left a message because it was over the weekend. I explained that I was about to go on a long drive out of town and wanted to have my transmission serviced since it has never been done. I dread going to dealerships so I figured I would give this a shot. Never received a call back. Very surprising regarding the other reviews.

Kevin and the team are honest, skilled and hard working! They arent after your wallet. They charge whats fair and dont try to sell you things you dont need. Ive brought 3 cars to them over the years and theyve always done a great job! Highly recommend them!!! Stay away from the dealerships! Go here!

As always, excellent service by a great bunch of mechanics. Kevin and staff have been maintaining my Acura and Honda(s) for 10 years now. At 282,000 and 207,000 miles they run almost as good as new, Im sure in a large part because of being well taken care of. Thanks. Mike
