It started when I purchased tires from them. My Sequoia had great alignment, but the tires had 50,000 miles on them. I purchased new tires from Firestone and had them check and adjust the alignment. They found the toe was out a little. From that day, I have taken the suv back to have it checked because the wheel moves pretty bad when I hit 65 mph. I took the car back 4 times to have it re-checked and on the 4th time, it seems like it might be back to normal. I have driven it for about 3 months and I figured it was time to have the tires rotated and checked. I stopped in the shop around 3pm and they told me I needed to make an appointment because they were so busy. I told them that it was fine and they said bring it back the following day. I asked if I needed an appointment and I was told no. When I showed up at 9am to drop the car off, I was greeted with two girls that seemed annoyed that I didnt have an appointment. I called around 5:30 that afternoon to check on the car and I was rudely told that it would be done at 7pm. I find this funny that they close at 7pm and It took them 10 hours to work on my car. Clearly I was pushed to the end of the line. I never received a call telling me the car was done, but I decided to show up at 7pm and it was sitting in the parking lot. I went through the paper stuff as I was leaving and I didnt receive a paper showing me what the alignment was before and the new readings. I asked for the paper to show the alignment was done and the person told me their printer was broken. He then told me that someone drove it and found the car to drive straight. First of all, I know that he was not driving 65 mph on the surface streets and he drove it less than a mile because I checked the mileage. It makes me wonder if they skipped servicing my car because they were busy and tried to get by without me knowing. I always ask for a print out to show the readings, but they would not give me one. I have a few other problems that I have heard when it comes to advice they give to people while I am waiting. I dont feel like the front desk people know anything about cars and try to pretend by spitting out car terminology. The problem is, by giving false advice and charging to have cars inspected, it runs the bill up for nothing. I will not be going back to Firestone again. I wanted to have my parking brake adjusted and they wanted $40 just to look at it. Then she told me that there might be a fee to adjust it. I took my car to Les Schwab and they told me $15 dollars and that is what they charged me. I have the lifetime alignment for two of my cars at Firestone, but I will not be using it. I just dont trust them.

Took my car in Sunday at 9 after talking with someone Saturday (the day I bought the car) and was told my tires would be there at 9. Called at 1 to see how long until my car is done, and they told me the tires had just got there, and it would be another hour and a half until they were done. I called an hour and a half later to see if my cars was done. Was told ANOTHER 45 minutes for the alignment. I said nevermind, Ill just get my car now. I show up and they left my car unlocked AND the windows down! And my wheels were covered in tire slime! Ridiculous! The only reason I came here was the other 2 places I went to didnt have a set of 4 tires and were closed on Sunday. I needed a new set as I drive 200+ miles a day and the ones on the car were badly weathered. Never coming here again! And I even thought about opening up a credit card with them. Good job guys, you lost out on some frequent business. Thanks for the cheap tires

Came here for a pre-purchase inspection on a car from Craiglist. Waited 2-3 hours for this very "good" and "comprehensive" inspection. Only to buy the car and drive home to figure out that my wheels were missing 2 lugs and one of my wheel bolts were rusted out. I drove an hour from here back to South Sacramento... My own life was endangered while driving home. This is pure insanity. I hope corporate reads this review and you guys are really lucky I cant afford a ******* lawyer otherwise Id be sueing you and the person who sold me this car. I asked them to specifically look for rust as well. And they gave me the all clear. And again once I got home from that 1hr drive I find rust all over the place. I will never do business with Firestone ever again and will consistently and constantly tell all of the people I am in connection with to stay the hell away from this garbage shop.

Took car in for an oil change and air filter change. The following day the car had an oil leak. Never had any leaks before our visit to this place. Not only was there an oil leak, but the oil leaked was dirty oil indicating that there was never an oil change. They just added more oil, which over filled it. They also said on their paperwork that our fluids were okay and they even added some, but most of them were below recommend levels. So they didnt change the oil nor did they add any of the fluids they said they did. Someone didnt put something back on properly which cause oil to leak all over the timing belt. We had to file a claim and have a "third-party investigator" review our case and of course they absolved Firestone of any fault. Avoid this place. Check the reviews, I wish I did before coming here because they have a history of causing leaks.

I brought my car in because it was idling very rough and acting like it was going to die. I left my car all day and explained the parameters of how to re-create the problem. When I checked in, late in the afternoon I was told they couldnt re-create the problem (they had not followed my instructions); but they said I had a serious oil leak and the CVP joints were cracked and could cause an accident. They suggested that I get the engine steam cleaned ($115.00) and they would put some dye in the system to trace the leak. I agreed. A month later, I took my car to a different shop for an oil change. I asked them about the leak and the CVP joints. They told me I didnt have a leak and the joints were fine. This was my second visit to Firestone, the first was for the same problem, cost me $150.00 and still did not resolve my problem.

Been there three times so far. Service seems good. They need to be truthful though. Lying cost them two stars. I called and asked how long am oil change would take. Krista said 45 minutes to an hope because they business was really slow. Turns out they were the slow ones. When I got there, the waiting room was packed and Krista said our car would be ready at 4PM (5 hours, not 45-60 minutes). When I called at 3:40 PM, she said it would be done finished in 20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later at 4:05 it was still up on the rack draining oil. It wasnt ready for another 30 minutes after that. I think they never even started until I called to say I was coming to pick it up. And, if I hadnt called when I did, it probably would have been done until almost 6 PM when they close.
