I have been taking classes at the Learning Exchange for over 2.5 years and I love it! What’s so awesome is most classes are one to three sessions, which saves you from committing to months of a community college class, when you aren’t sure if you will even like the subject in the first place. But you still walk away from the class having a good understanding of the subject matter, which helps you decide if you would like to pursue the subject/hobby any further. The classes are usually pretty reasonable in price and if you sign up for their mailing list on their website they send you coupons for $ or % off classes every once in awhile, which is great. The office staff have always been nice if I needed to cancel a class or any other issues come up. There are so many different classes with really something for everyone. I’ve taken dance classes, cooking classes, crafting classes, self-help classes, health/nutrition classes over the years and each one has been a good use of my time and has taught me something useful. They even offer season specific classes (ie: gardening in the summer, couples massage near Valentine’s Day, ghost hunting and tarot card reading near Halloween, etc) which is a lot of fun! The classes are something different you could do to meet new people, get to know a date, spend some time with family or friends or just keep your brain active and healthy by learning something new. I absolutely recommend trying it out!

I am a big fan of the online writing classes provided by Sacramentos Learning Exchange. The classes are taught by professional writers and are made to be fun. I found these classes in March 2010 and will mostly complete 7 writing classes by the end of this year. I have also ended some 20+ years of Writers Block because of them. Whatever writing you do, go after the craft. These classes allow you to go at your own pace. You are not required to participate in Discussion, but I suggest that you do. Although everyone in class remains anonymous, this is a good time to get brief, individualized help and helpful feedback from your work. These online classes fit my schedule. I can remain in my bathrobe and fuzzy slippers--cup of coffee nearby. Thanks!!!

From glass blowing to personal finance and everything in-between, the Learning Exchange offers a cornucopia of fun and informative classes for the lifelong learner. I have taken a number of art classes, a pottery class, an online creative writing class, and more. I love that some of the art classes are one-day classes, so no big commitment and I get to have fun and learn some valuable techniques in a short amount of time. The instructors are professional - some teach at local colleges and do this on the side, and others are professionals in their fields. Highly recommend!

I just finished a few online courses and I would definitely do it again. The downside is, the online classes seem pricey for what you get, and because the class size seems unlimited. I guess it would be worth the money if the courses were accredited, which they are not. I took a Creative Writing class and Introduction to HTML class. Occasionally, they offer a slight discount, but this seems rare, as I have been seeking this out as soon as I heard of them. They dont seem to update their Facebook page either. Too busy collecting money, I guess.

I have been recommending this place to my friends for years. Theyre great for adult learners because the classes are fun and interesting, you get to learn a new skill, and the instructors let you work at your own pace. Theyll walk around and answer questions while you practice. Ive taken a painting class, a ceramics and pottery class, and many cooking classes, and enjoyed them all. Ive taken classes alone, but it is really much more enjoyable if you bring a friend with you.

Ive been attending classes at the Learning Exchange for a few years now. An Ive never been disappointed. The quality of teachers and the enriching content has always made my experience as a student a enlightening one. I believe in the organization so much that I have decided to submit my own course curriculum to share in their classrooms. I recommend the learning exchanges courses to all my students, friends and family.

I have took a glass class through the LE I liked it, i saved a lot of money by finding out it was not the field i wanted to study. So i did not dump a tone of money in to something i was not going to do. The class was great stayed for the whole thing and still have the things i made.

I took a grilling class, held in the backyard of a private home. It was great, as I was new to grilling!! Gave me the incentive to try something new. Highly recommended!!
