This used to be a reliable Car Care facility, however I the last year Ive found theyre overwhelmed. I had a brake light go out, when they said the whole wiring and fixture needed to be replaced ($$$) I believed them. They offered to look at it further, gave me an estimate and I could pick it up the next day. The following day I was dropped off to pick it up. Not only was the window down with my keys in the ignition; they hadnt done anything. No call to tell me they werent able to get to it. They said we can try again tomorrow. Luckily a woman was there to pick up her car (which still wasnt finished) she offered me a ride home. The following day, nothing changed. So I took my brake light and service elsewhere. The other shop had me I and out in 10 minutes. The only problem was the prong to the light needed tightening. Ten minutes and $5 later.... I was in the road again! Ive been going to this Meineke for years before this; its very disappointing. If service & customer service are breaking down, I see no reason to return.

<3 <3 Had all my vehicles oil change plus free tire rotation for under $20 & usually in & out unless its the weekend. They shedule tho so I call on my way. I have been going for all of my vehicles (Geo Prizm, Kia Spectra & Jeep GrandCherokee Laredo) since Ive moved to Sac in 2008. Awesome & friendly staff, they finish extremely quick & make u feel relaxed. I have even had maintanence (steering pump & belt) done on my Geo, I was quoted over $600 everywhere, they fixed it for $150 cheaper! IMy Kia wouldnt start, was quoted (from roadside car Co. that had an electronic engine reader) it was sum chip that wouldnt allow to start which would run around $500. So I brought it to Meineke Car Care of Sac & he found out it was a week battery! Charged it up a little, runs great! Best thing was they did it free for being one of the regular customer (great news in this economy)!!! I will ALWAYS stay dedicated to this particular location from 2008 & counting!! <3 <3

They tried to convince me that I needed a $625 brake pad and rotor replacement saying my front rotors were dangerous and it would be illegal to replace only the pads. I took my car to the dealership where they informed me that not only were all 4 rotors in EXCELLENT condition, but the front would not even need the pads replaced for 6 months or more. While I was waiting I heard John, the manager, try to confuse a customer to talk his way out of price match situation and when a customer on the phone asked to bring her car in on a saturday he demanded to know why she couldnt bring it in on monday. I would never consider bringing my vehicle to this shop again. It is a great lesson in getting a second opinion. Honest mechanics are too hard to find.

Came here in 2015 to have some work done.. They offered to replace the hose coming from my coolant reservoir tank for free. They had to remove the tank to put on a new hose. When they repositioned the tank they did it wrong and had it touching a pulley.. I didnt bother to check their work. (my mistake) as the pulley spun against the plastic tank it burned a hole in it. By the time I realized it was too late. Car was badly overheating and my head gaskets blew. Do yourself a favor and do not go here.

The service was amazing. I thought my car was simply broken but they gave my an expect ion and and made plenty of recommendations. None of which were forced. Ive been to different mechanics in the area and I received much better service with Meineke than I did with the last mechanic shop I visited. They gave me detailed information on what should be performed along with numbers not just numbers and the problem. Definitely will look to them with my car troubles.

I took my wifes car here in a bind; her battery was basically dead and I was having trouble getting the replacement battery installed. Gerrardo at the front desk came out to take a look. 15 minutes later he had already tested and confirmed the dead battery and had the new one installed; all from the parking lot in 100 degree weather. Next time I need regular service I hope to come back! Thanks again.

They were very knowledgeable. They explained what was wrong with my car and didnt treat like I was an idiot. I went for an oil change and had the serpentine belt changed. I was so happy with the service that I plan on going back and would recommend them to any one. Thank you for turning the place around.

I had the coupon for 3 free oil changes and tire rotation for $20. I went to get my oil changed and tires rotated and was satisfied with it. I tried going back again for another oil change but was told it was busy and had to make an appointment. It is hard to get same day appts.

the worst auto shop ever, the new manager thomas he is so rude and they dont have knowledge about Volkswagen or European cars, they charge me as expert but they couldnt replace an abs sensor. even if you make an appointment they always let you waiting for 3 hours

The experience wasnt good. The service took far too long, and I had an appointment. The waiting room wasnt great, and it only got worse considering how long I was stranded here. Ive been to other Meineke locations before and have had much better experiences.
