I just found my plumber! Found a great deal on Angie’s List and decided to give them a try. The only things I really had a problem with was a couple of slow drains. Bob Torre was my service technician and not only did a wonderful job, but went above and beyond what I have come to expect from a competent plumber. First, he respected my property. He put on some protective booties so that he wouldn’t dirty my carpet. Then, he made sure that the items on my counter top were out of the way of any splash. After the job was done, he even cleaned up the splatter on my counter and mirror. Second, he explained everything he was doing and very carefully went over the paperwork and told me what everything meant on the paperwork before he allowed me to sign or initial. He explained California liability and workman’s comp requirements for all service companies and told me how to protect myself and my home when I allow someone into my home. When everything was clear, he showed me one of the main reasons why my master bath drain was running slowly and how I could avoid a premature service call by simply replacing a part (that they did not carry) or, at least, being aware of the position of the part and manually adjusting it. Finally, he showed me how where the shutoff valve was for my water heater and even tested the pressure coming into my home to make sure it was at a safe level. Bob was very personable and demonstrated how excellent service can be. When I complimented him on his service and attitude, he indicated that all Cabrillo technicians have been trained that way. What that tells me is that the ownership and management of Cabrillo are smart in who they hire and who they choose to serve as their front line. Advertising can get 1st time business but it takes someone like Bob to keep them coming back. I will ask for him the next time I have a plumbing challenge.

Weve had numerous issues from the hot water heater, to the furnace now even to our AC. Our first call several years ago was to Cabrillo and we have been coming back ever since. To be clear, everything theyve fixed has stayed fixed. Frank has been in to fix our water heater and our furnace on separate calls. Always willing to explain what hes doing and show us whats going on. He was notably great about pointing out a very crucial safety issue with our furnace that wouldnt have been caught had he not spent a good amount of time debugging the system and testing after everything was going smoothly. We had been used to Frank for years after coming back and fixing various parts on our appliances, so when I had an issue with our AC not working, I called Cabrillo. I got a prompt appointment for two days after my call, right when I had time during my day. However, my heart sunk when I was told that Frank wouldnt be coming out to fix our issue. The lady on the phone told me that Tony was coming to fix our AC. I hadnt worked with him before, but he came highly recommended from the reviews. When Tony arrived, he was able to diagnose the problem within the first 10 minutes. Luckily the problem was not catastrophic. His depth of knowledge about these systems was very extensive what struck me was how he was able to take my questions from refrigerant choices to system design and efficiency very well. He was very kind and thoughtful in his answers. Just like Frank, you can tell Tony has a desire to see that his clients are well-educated when making repair choices and that they feel comfortable with their course of action. I admit that not having had service from different companies has limited my ability to compare prices. However I would recommend Cabrillo on service alone. Thank you Tony! Im sitting in my upstairs office 15 degrees cooler than an hour ago.

This is why I will always use Cabrillo. They did some work for me in December that is reviewed below - 5 Stars. Earlier this month my tenant noticed a small leak originating from the toilet. I contacted Cabrillo because frankly I trust them and knowing it was an old building realized it could be a lot worse. Cabrillo found it was a small issue. Literally a bolt need to be tightened. No Charge. How I started working with Cabrillo. My condo association had contracted another plumber to make repairs on our unit due to a leak. After a lengthy demolition and restoration, we turned on our water and found that the shower did not work. I had had it with the plumber the condo association was using and needed somebody to get the work done quickly. It was the worst possible timing, Monday, December 22, 3 days before Christmas. I contacted another plumber I trust who actually recommended Cabrillo. If thats not a good sign I dont know what it is. From the moment I spoke to Justin at Cabrillo and scheduled the plumbers to fix our water valves I felt we were in good hands. There was constant communication with Justin and Gessa, which I greatly appreciated since Ive mustve driven them nuts by calling them at least 30 times. Once the job was done, they sent me photos and confirm that they had actually tested the line and confirm that the water was working properly. Our building is over 100 years old so what they were able to do with new plumbing made our bathroom look brand-new. Not only did they do a good job but they stand behind their work. A week later my condo association contacted me again to inform me of another leak in my unit. I contacted Cabrillo and they had a plumber out there within two hours and confirmed that the leak was not from our unit but from a valve from the building waterline. Thank you Cabrillo!

Cabrillo was very prompt in responding to our call, even though this was not an emergency, and it was a Saturday. Brian was extremely professional and helpful in explaining the issues and work needed, but unfortunately did not have the needed supplies on his truck, otherwise he would have fixed everything then. He came back first thing Monday and finished very quickly. I saw one other review complaining about the prices. Cabrillo seemed about on par for cost, and as has been said, "you get what you pay for!" Cabrillo was the second company we had to call to correct plumbing needed to install a new dishwasher. The first company broke a pipe in the process of a valve replacement and used questionable replacement hose materials. Brian informed us the installed valve was not the correct type and replaced it along with new pipe, and installed a separate valve and hose to plumb water back to our refrigerator. The first company just removed the water supply and said it wasnt possible to reconnect. So - Id say Cabrillo did a great job! Brian is excellent with communications, and was also willing to inspect other parts of our 60-year old pipe system for any other issues. Fortunately things checked out fine. Candice, in Cabrillos office, was also very timely and responsive with the paperwork, which I appreciated.

Top Notch Customer Service = Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling... We had occasion to call these guys when our toilet was in need of service. I found out that they have been in business for over 50 years and told me that they have a rigorous interview process where they only accept 1 in 50 applicants. They also drug test so this makes me feel safer about who Im inviting into my home. Another thing I appreciate is the fact that they guarantee their work. Though they are not the least expensive guys in town, they are imho the best choice for these matters... Justin was the reservation manager I talked to to arrange the appointment. He was very good at listening to what I had to say and didnt interrupt. He also made sure that he understood my request in its entirety by echoing what I said back to me. He had a way about him that put me at ease. Cabrillos Brian Bufford was punctual when came over to answer the service call. (I think hes personally been in the business for over 20 years) Not only was he knowledgeable, he was kind and respectful when explaining the details...very easy-going. He wore what looked like shower caps on his shoes so that my floor wouldnt get dirty. Thank you for helping us out when we needed you Cabrillo!
