Dont come here. I came here thinking I was getting a good deal instead of going to Toyota, it turns out San Francisco Auto Repair Center LIED TO ME. I told them to check the brakes, they did not check the brakes even though they said they did. I ended up taking my car to Toyota and it turns out my brake fluid needed to be changed BADLY. If the San Francisco Auto Repair Center actually checked my brakes they would of told me that my brake fluid needed to be changed. I will never trust this place again. I also told the Owner that the brakes made a little noise which is why I wanted him to check the brakes in the first place, he told me "Just because the brakes make noise doesnt mean anything is wrong" I mean, Im no genius but Im pretty sure brakes shouldnt make noise at all in the first place!!!!!

I have been taking my 98 Jetta TDI to Gary for a couple of years now and wouldnt take it anywhere else. Gary knows a lot about biodiesel and has been able to fix every complex problem my old car has thrown at him--and charging for far fewer hours than he put in. When one of his guys left a rag and paper floor mat in my car, he gave me a free oil change. Excellent customer service. I referred a friend who had a problem her mechanic couldnt figure out, and Gary was able to fix it and give her a deal. I highly recommend SF Auto Repair.

Great service. My first conversation with Gary, he spent the time thinking about why I might not need the service. Once it was determined that we did need to move forward, service was completed within an hour. They also did a spot check, and I appreciated that at the end of the service he asked if they could be my go-to auto repair spot. The tone and manner was friendly, thoughtful, honest, and direct throughout. I will definitely use them moving forward.

While these guys did not catch a bod wheel bearing and hub on a major inspection that cost $375, they did make good on replacing that part as part of the warranty when I brought it back in - charged only for the parts... good service, honest. I dont usually bring my car to SF anymore, but I am glad that these guys did a good job of fixing what needed to be fixed.
