Service advisor was rude and gave us an attitude like we had inconvenienced him by coming in looking for some kind of freebie. After 4 hours of having the vehicle we were told they couldnt duplicate the problem we were having with the back hatch not opening from the remote. They pulled the vehicle around to the front and we hit the open hatch button on both remotes and it wouldnt work. Not only was the service provided incompetent but the advisor was horrible and rude. He should be given a job somewhere that he never deals with the public. I understand people have bad days but this was beyond that. We were offered free service for life from Gilchrist because bought our 70,000 dollar vehicle there but we will gladly pay for our own service at a different shop in order to not have to be treated like this again. Worst service experience in my life! Cant recommend this dealer for sales or service because of this experience. By the way, we did stop and talk to our sales person and his manager. They gave us the name of the service manager and I called and got his voicemail. Left him a message and never heard anything back from him. Described the same thing as above to him on voicemail. We no longer want a call from service and will just continue to make sure everyone knows of our service experience there.

I set up my appointment online but when I arrived the next week, there was no record of my appointment. They were able to fit me in, and they took me to my office about 10 minutes down the road. A very good recovery of a bad situation. I was called pretty quickly and told the car was done. I called back later asking if they could pick me up at my office. I called back after 2.5 hours to tell them that no one had picked me up yet and that I needed to be somewhere. They gave me the number of the driver and I called him and he said he was planning on picking me up shortly. By the time I got my car I was running real late to pick up my 7 year old from her school. I expressed my dissatisfaction to several people that just said oh. They did not offer an apology nor compensation. Not very good customer interaction. An apology cost nothing and the promise of an extra oil change is pretty cheap.

Absolutely terrible customer service i came in to just want free advice from a mechanic because im low income abd single mom and was going to do my spark plugs myself and the older guy behind desk with glasses said sorry i cant get them out there to look at it and take them away from there jobs ..but i saw both mechanics out back smoking not doing crap...just cuz im a woman he looked at me and said i dont wanna sound rude but i think you should not do the spark plugs because theres alot to take off to get to them... But all i needed to know was why the intake wasnt coming off and he wouldnt help me.. The worst people ..didnt even ask if i needed help when i was standing there at counter they were typing on computers not even acknowledging me..so rude!!the lady at desk by front door didnt say anything either..rude employees...ive had problems with there attutudes before

No service , vehicle in shop over two week and nothing done. They ordered small part said it had to come from manuf. Week later no word , called several times before anyone would return call, order had been canceled , reordered. Should have arrivedon thur. Didnt should arrived tues. Didnt. Dealer never called back . I left message I was on way pickup .still didnt call back . Arrived mad , part was here and they had pull vehicle in shop but didnt start work.said wouldnt be able to finish until next day . Hadnt done work I had asked for ,ever oil change. Parts were available local. Or even overnight from manuf. Why make me wait. Got mad took vehicle home . Would give them no stars if site would let me. Will cost me to find someone else to do work, both time and money and will not get vacation this year . But will never go to gilchrist again.

Service is beyond below average. Bought vehicle that belonged to Stephanie Gilchrist, the owners daughter for 12,000.00. My father has spent over 5,000.00 in repairs and have had car for a year and a half. Stephanie said There is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Being as she was the owners daughter we expected great things from vehicle. Got home and stereo didnt work. Now car in shop for a problem that was supposed to be fixed 4 visits ago. Service tech Ryan Tramm very disrespectful. And we dont care about service tech Chucks crystal ball. Totally rude and device department below standard service. They couldnt even find a valve stem that was in rear tire, head mechanic said it was a possible evap system prob. .Nope just a valve stem in the tire. Probobaly would have charged $1,500.00 for that. Very poor poor service.

Breaking down 50 miles from home we towed our truck with transmission issues to the Gilchrist service department. The service desk informed us that it would likely be a few days before someone could take a look at our truck to diagnose the problem. Our service adviser, Dave, was excellent to work with. He got our truck checked out the following morning and worked with our warranty company to square away the services. I felt from start to finish we were made a priority despite not having an appointment or having ever been a former customer of Gilchrist. I would definitely bring my truck back to Gilchrist service for future repairs.

I bought my 2015 Chevy Trax here most recently, and a 2011 Buick Lucerne a couple years back. The Owners John & Gary Gilchrist were nearby and made you feel welcome and that your business was important, not just a number on their board. Finance was handled by Stephanie and she was a dream to work with. Bob in Service has taken great care of me and my vehicles, thanks to the help of Ron & Kristy in Service and Robin in Parts. Why would anyone buy from someone else is a mystery. This IS the place to buy a New or Used vehicle. Thank you Gilchrist Family for making me feel like part of the Family.

My Chevy Cruze diesel had a problem with the front driver side seat belt. When I called and spoke with Chuck, he asked me how soon I could get there. I arrived as soon as I could and he told me I had to leave my car because it is a safety issue but they couldnt get to my car for a couple of days. He put me in a loaner car. I really appreciate Chuck and his concern for my wife and I. Chuck and the rest of the service department staff are fantastic! I drive 45 minutes and pass 3 other GM dealerships for the exceptional service at Gilchrist!

I have never dealt with a car dealership with a more attentive salesman than Dick Madsen. He listened to what I needed and found the vehicle for me. He never pressured me to buy something I wasnt comfortable with. He made suggestions and worked WITH me. By the end of the process I felt I knew Dick and we were friends. I will use him again. BTW I bought this new 2016 Chevy 2500hd Silverado over the phone. Im 452 miles away.
