1) This shop is no longer a Midas affiliate. So any work you have done here does not have a Midas warranty. (I can imagine the split with Midas was from the Midas end.) 2) I’ve had work done here for years. 3) The last time I was in to have brake work done. (After it was no longer Midas) after the “free inspection” that I did not ask for. I was told that the self-adjusting drum breaks in the in the back, needed adjusting. When I asked the worker why he wanted me to pay him to adjust self-adjusting brakes, he went into a song and dance about how they needed to retighten the adjustment that is there for you to loosen the brakes, so you can remove the drum. I interrupted him and asked him are you’re trying to rip me off or are you incompetent, I can live with you trying to rip me off, but if he has no idea how drum brakes work, I was going to have to talk to the manager. He smiled and went back to work. 4) Then I was told that my rotors needed turned at a cost of $90. I was also told that if I did not have the rotors turned I would not have a warranty on my $40 break shoes. (The rotors where fine driving end and out) months later the rotors became out of round, like someone had oiled a small area on the rotor and had forgot to clean it. I recently ordered new rotors at a cost of $60 that do not need resurfaced, and pads for $35. 5) I believe that statement 2) is no longer valid, I will not be returning to the no longer Midas shop on the corner of Bascom and Stevens Creek.

I dont write many reviews for businesses unless I am really impressed with their service and that is certainly the case with this location. I scheduled a brake pad replacement appointment online and got one for the following day. They had a bay open for me and were expecting me. All of the employees were friendly and not in a fake way that some stores demand from employees. I don’t know much about car repair, so they walked me through everything and explained everything in a way that I understood. I wasn’t pressured into paying for any service that I didn’t need. While there, I waited in the lobby and studied and the employee at the counter turned the TV off without me even asking, because he thought I could focus better. I was also on a bit of a time crunch and the mechanic made it a point to get my job done fast so that I could get out of there on time and get to work. They also offered to take me to my job if it wasn’t done in time. I can’t say enough great things about the service and the staff here.

I called in and set up an appointment for an oil change. I gave them all the necessary information about my truck, and they quoted me $25. When I arrived at the Midas, they said they were running behind, and basically my appointment would be an hour late. Strike one. As the guy behind the counter is explaining the situation to me, hes not apologetic at all. His tone is very "this is how it is, take it or leave it." Strike two. Then the guy quotes me $35, which is $10 more than the original quote over the phone. Strike three. The whole experience just felt shady, like they were trying to lure me into their shop, then charge me extra. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was not referred here nor did I know this SJ Midas team before my first visit, but now four visits into my experience (complete front-end brakes removal + replacement, rear-brake adjustment, ball and joint/suspension replacement on all four wheels, steering rack + pinion, and a faulty part replacement) ... and I can honestly say they are professional in every way; from the service reps (Armando and Paul) to the mechanics. Top notch! My old 1992 Accord needed some "TLC"/love, and they gave it :)

0 rating. Got front brake pads changed and rotors machined. Aftter a month , I started getting squeaking noise from driver side front wheel. took the car to auto shop and came to know that bearings are gone because there were few screws missing as partof brake job. This happened on left side wheel. Just for curosity checked right side wheel and some screws are missing there also. Will go to MIDAS steevens creek tomorrow and will ask for my refund.

Been here twice and both times they attempted to call me to say my vehicle was finished (dropped off) but they called the wrong number repeatedly even when they had the correct number written down on paper (first time) and in their database (second time). Not every # starts with 408 foiks. Service was good; check out process is slow and too chit-chatty. Okay prices. They help identify vehicle issues too.

I went in for an oil change. My car needs synthetic, so I knew it would be expensive, but I had a $10 off coupon. The guy brings me the estimate, its $69.95. I tell him about the coupon, and he responds that a synthetic oil change is normally $89.95 and hes already given me $20 off. But I can see the prices right behind the counter and it clearly says the normal price is $69.95. Wont be going there again!

They use cheap printable labels they stick in your window to say your service info. I needed to use a blade and goo gone to remove. Took longer to remove than the time it would take me to change my own oil. Pay 10 cents and use plastic like a normal store or dont put the lame cheap terrible advertisement up without asking.

I had a flat tire which couldnt be fixed and I have a road hazard warranty on the tire. The store manager was very unhelpful and not willing to order me a new tire. The other stores seem to have the same tire. I have an Audi A6 2012. No wonder Midas has such bad ratings!

Very knowledgeable, skilled, great customer service. So far they have diagnosed 2 vehicles before I bought them and (hopefully) Im bringing another one in tomorrow morning. VERY reasonably priced, for diagnostics, havent needed anything else done yet.

I was curious and attracted by 20 minutes oil change.sign. It happened to be a great experience. Because I received a free tire and brakes inspection. The oil change was clean and fast.
