I had such a wonderful experience with the Meathead movers! My previous move from Michigan to California was a disaster; the movers that I had back then promised a quote, but ended up holding my stuff hostage at destination until I paid them whatever they demanded--which ended up costing me about $2000 more than what was quoted! This time around from Santa Monica to northern CA with Meathead Movers was completely different! Shaun stopped by, was very professional and patiently answered all my questions, Before leaving, he gave us a "not-to-exceed" quote in writing! Then on the day of the move, Andrew and his team were also very nice, respectful, and really professional. They patiently took the time to explain all the paperwork and process and what to expect. They were supposed to wrap and pack all of the boxes, but since I was on a time-crunch and wanted to get out of town in time to avoid LA traffic, my helper and I packed everything by ourselves. Andrew ended up giving us a discount off the not-to-exceed quote, so my total cost was $200-300 less than quoted! The movers carefully wrapped my furniture and loaded their truck. I did a final walk-through of my place, turned in the keys, and drove on ahead. Next morning, the movers delivered my boxes and unpacked my furniture at my new apartment. Nothing was damaged, none of my furniture were scratched. Everything went very smoothly. Actually now that I think about it, one of my Ridel wine glasses broke as soon as I unwrapped it from the box. But since I was the one who packed it, I attributed it to not having used enough packing paper. I will definitely recommend Meadhead to my family and friends! Heck, if my next move allows me to remain in California, Id definitely call Meadhead again for my relocation needs. Im so glad to have finally found a trustworthy company. Im also a huge fan of its mission of supporting student athletes through school. Thanks Meatheads!

I recently sold my home of 20 years and purchased another in a nearby city. From the beginning and at nearly every step of the process almost nothing went correctly. The glowing exception was Meathead Movers. I sent a request for a quote from their web page and within an hour I received a phone call to set an appointment for a Meathead representative to come to my home. She, as was EVERY single Meathead employee that I worked with, professional, very well trained, courteous, polite and efficient. I wasnt the easiest client. I changed my move date 4 times and the last time with 2 days notice. Each time the person I spoke with accommodated my request with nothing but courtesy and understanding. On moving day I got a call 30 minutes before the scheduled "move time" to see if I needed any extra time to prepare. When the student movers arrived they were incredible! They were organized and had a game plan. Each had his assignment and performed it well. Before we left I was asked to do a final walk thru to verify that theyd loaded everything I wanted. They really do jog back to the truck! During the unload, it was 90 plus degrees and I suggested that while I appreciated the hustle, it wasnt necessary due to the extreme heat. They wouldnt hear of it. "This is what we do." I cant tell you how impressed we were with all of the Meathead employees but especially the movers. Those guys were amazing. I can sum up my experience by saying that in all of my years of hundreds if not thousands of transactions, this was the very best by far with any company! Great job Meathead.

My experience with Meathead Movers was phenomenal. My wife and I had just purchased our first home, and it was an incredibly stressful process, so we were not looking forward to the moving portion, which is typically a nightmare. Meathead did an amazing job of eliminating stress across the board. They were very helpful in getting the move scheduled and confirmed. When the two movers arrived, they were precisely on time and both very friendly. They did a quick walkthrough to verify details of what was being moved and where it was going, etc. They were quick, but very careful as well, padding all the items as well as the door jambs that they were being carried through. The unload at the new house went just as smoothly, they put everything exactly where we wanted it, and confirmed several times that things were exactly the way we wanted them. Adam, the Mentor on the job, walked me through all of the paperwork and explained to me exactly what I was signing as to avoid any confusion. I could not possibly be happier with the way the move turned out, and I will most definitely use them again anytime I move in the future, as well as recommend them to anyone I know in a moving situation. To the owners of Meathead movers; This is my second move done by Meathead Movers and I highly recommend you company. My first move involved a move from San Luis Obispo to Santa Maria; it was when my wife and I downsized from a home here to a smaller home in Santa Maria and placing some items in storage until my late wife moved to Santa Barbara because of the need for several medical specialists. This move was local from one retirement center where I had an apartment to another apartment closer to downtown. The packers who came on Monday very carefully packed and labeled all of the boxes (leaving only what I needed for two days) and then the movers carefully wrapped furniture and loaded everything, moved across town and unloaded all of it and unpacked it with me designating where it all went in perfect condition. A new employee did a perfect job explaining all of the paper-work under the supervision of a mentor. In three hours everything was loaded , delivered and unpacked at my new apartment I will always recommend Meathead to anyone. Thank you for the opportunity to recommend you

I have had terrible and unpleasant experiences in the past and have never really wanted tobwate my time or energy to sit down and write a review. Both wich are extremely valuable to me. I also believe that sometimes companies need to be given the benefit of the doubt. In this case we tried, and tried with no success. Their workers Damaged a NEW Appliance and denied that they were at fault. Not only did i see them trying to move the appliance out of a door that it did not fit through. I also had to help them take it appart before they did any more damage. They then continued to do more damage in the area. They game me a phone number for claims. They said they would investigate and get back to us. It took weeks before we decided to call before they told us they were still investigating. Weeks after that we received a letter that denied the claim. As a business owner myself. It is hard to understand how they are still in business. If you have items you care about. I would look elsewhere. Or make sure they send you prople with some common sence.

I have always been a do it yourself mover. Myself and my entire family would go to a rental co. and rent a large truck and. whoever in the family was available would show up moving day and we would work til it was done. I had heard good things about Meathead Movers so i thought I would get an estimate. From my first telephone call until after moving day Meathead kept in contact to ensure the move was a great experience. and it was!!! calls were returned within 24 hours. The crew was more that accomadating. arriving at my new house a chair was placed in the drivewat with Meathead V I P on it. That was my chair and as the crew unloaded they would ask what room and I remained in my seat and directed them accordingly. Moving is such a pain. HOWEVER whenever I see a meathead truck on the road i smile and remember my moving day. Thank you Meathead and staff! I will recomend you to everyone.
