One of the best auto mechanics in the Bay Area. Wally might come off as rude/brusque, but hes superb, explains the problem and solution extremely well, does not try and do repairs that are unnecessary. In fact, he will go out of his way to not waste your money & time, and will you know in advance if he feels there is any service that might come up in the near future. Sometimes, he does tend to use aftermarket parts to keep the cost down, and if youre not OK with that, the best thing to do is order the OEM part yourself and take it to him. So if a part needs repairing/replacing, always remember to ask if hes going to order OEM or aftermarket. If you are going to use a superior aftermarket part, its still a great idea to ask him to install it. Sometimes, like for a Mazda3, the OEM motor mounts are not as reliable as some of the aftermarket ones.

I had my car shipped from NY and when it got here my breaks didnt work. I brought it here and had a great experience. Wally like at my car for free and called with an estimate within an hour. He finished with on the car by 5:15 and had the parts he had to replace out and ready for me so he could explain everything and made sure that I understood scat the problem was. I will definitely be bringing my car back here when it needs maintenance again.

Very honest service. He provided advice and a small makeshift repair at no cost (which he put my car on a hydraulic lift to do, least you think it was too small a task). I tried to tip him $10 in an outstretched hand and he refused despite my mild insistence. He has no doubt saved me over $100 today with his good advice. This was my first visit, but I will definitely go back.

I love working with these guys (3 times so far). They are extremely honest and have fair prices. Most recently, I had a check engine light go on. He ran the scan for free then explained what each code was. He gave me a copy of the scan and said I could go home and lookup the codes before deciding what I should fix.

Wally is amazing. Our car happened to die near his garage while we were on the way to SFO. He said he could hang onto it while we went on vacation and have it fixed for when we get back. We had trouble getting a taxi to the airport so he called his nephew and had him give us a ride!

Wally is a great guy who is honest and does quality work. I was able to schedule an oil change and he got me in same day. He also isnt pushy with recommending additional services and is very reasonably priced. Will definitely return for future car service.

He replaced two motor mounts for me and did it at a very reasonable price and had it finished by the time he said he would. If youre on the fence about where to go, give Wally and Norfolk a shot at it.
