My consistent experience with Green Care has been that they take my car apart and fail to put it back together properly. The first time I took it to them was for scheduled maintenance. They replaced the front control arms. After I got the car home, I took a look underneath and immediately saw that the sway bar had one bolt missing and another that was halfway out. This was about four inches from the control arm they had replaced. There was no way not to notice it. I took it back right away and, to their credit, they fixed it free of charge. About a year later, having decided to give them another chance, I took it to them to fix the air conditioner. They more or less replaced the entire system. When I drove it away, the car immediately started giving coolant system warnings. I took it back. The radiator fan had stopped working altogether and there was a large hose that had become disconnected from the radiator. Although both the fan and the hose are crowded within a few inches of radiator components that they had replaced, the owner insisted that they hadnt touched the cooling system. Despite having serious reservations by now, which I voiced to the owner in a very candid way, I allowed them to replace the broken radiator fan and reconnect the hose. They charged me for parts but not labor. About a month later the car started leaking transmission fluid from the front end. Because I was completely fed up with Green Care by now, and also thinking the leak was possibly unrelated to the recent work, I took the car to a different mechanic. The new mechanic said that the fan Green Care had installed was warped and was rubbing against a hose that carries transmission fluid to the radiator. I paid this mechanic around $1600 to replace the fan and hose. I certainly wasnt going to let Green Care anywhere near it again. After this repair was done, I went back to Green Care to complain, and to ask to be reimbursed for the the cost of fixing their mess. The owner asked why I hadnt brought the car back to them. I explained the history of botched repairs. He shrugged and told me that I had voided the repair contract by taking it to another mechanic. He offered to try to send the fan back under the manufacturers warranty, but was otherwise unsympathetic and did not admit that there was anything wrong with their work. I gave Green Care many chances, and they botched it every time. I wouldnt let them wash my windshield.

I took my Pathfinder in knowing my radiator hose was cracked and leaking. The tech proceeded to tell me the radiator itself was cracked in not one but two places in addition to the hose estimating the repair cost at nearly $600. When I asked the tech how he knew it was cracked he stated, "Cause there is radiator fluid there." It was obvious he has no clue and so I asked the tech to please put the hose back onto the radiator as I will be going elsewhere, and he refused. I had to reconnect the hose myself and took my car to a different mechanic. Not only did I know the Green Care Auto tech was full of it, the new mechanic pressure tested the radiator for leaks and of course it was not cracked, hose was replaced and the car lived happily ever after. I attempted to contact the store manager to express my frustrations. Trevor, who initially identified himself as the Sales Rep, placed me on hold then got back on the phone and said "This is the manager Trevor." When I explained how shady this all seems he said, "The teach made a recommendation." I said, "Telling me the radiator is cracked in two places is a little more than a recommendation, its a diagnosis." Trevor then hung up on me. I called back to ask for the name of the owner and it took me three times on hold to get the store owners name. This is by far the worst experience/customer service I have ever encountered.

Terrible! Took our car here for a simple oil change and when we got it back it it was "chugging" and the check engine light was on! When asked what was going on, the shop worker said the light had been on when the car arrived... NOT TRUE! I was told that they record the mileage of each car and take note of any lights that are on when the car is first pulled into the garage, and that that is how he was CERTAIN the light was on when I left it. However, when I picked up the car, the man at the front desk had to leave the building to go check the cars mileage because it had NOT been recorded. So obviously, the step in which the tech records the mileage and service lights WAS NEVER DONE. I went to the shop several times to try to get a straight story about what happened, but no one could tell me. I was also told they couldnt figure out what the problem was. I have now spend hundreds at other shops trying to fix they mystery problem that developed while the car was at Green Care. The car still isnt running right. One problem that the dealer was able to identify is that the car was low on both oil and transmission fluid - and this was just days after getting the oil change at Green Care! The dealer said there was absolutely no sign of leaking so he believed whoever had done the oil change simply skimped. All in all, avoid Green Care!

I want to give hearty shout out for Green Care Auto Repair in Wallingford. I am always wary of auto places given that I am a savvy woman who does not know cars but is savvy at judging good character and doing my research and checking with several resources who do know cars and will let me know if something is overpriced or not needed. It burns me to get scammed with auto work. I instantly liked these guys- friendly, helpful, respectful, down to earth, seem honest. Good guys who recently took over the ownership and seem to genuinely want to do good work. They not only took me right away, but were thorough in explaining what was going on, what was needed, what was not needed. And less was needed than what was told to me elsewhere. I recently relocated from Seattle to Tacoma and I have to say that I will not hesitate to drive to Seattle to have work done by Green Care Auto Repair.

I really like this garage. I had a number of issues that needed to be fixed on my car. The service was extremely friendly, and I saw them treat other customers with the same care, from the front desk to the owner to the guys who work only in the shop. When repairs didnt solve the problem the first time, they gave me additional service at no charge until things were fixed. They also went out of their way to make absolutely sure I was satisfied and threw in some minor services for free. I am thoroughly satisfied with this garage. They do tend to get a day behind schedule, so be prepared to leave the car with them for longer than estimated. Even so, theyre worth it, and I will be taking my car to them again.

I was in earlier this week and could tell they were very busy, despite this they were still able to diagnose a issue with my power door lock. They did have to order a part that was not available in this state. They said but they were able to over night the part I needed for a little extra. Green care auto had me out the very next day before closing. I really am happy about the speedy service. I Have been here several times for other issues and maintenance in the past and decided to give a shout out this time for going the extra mile, they were really eager to get my car fixed and back to me very quickly and for that a thank you guys ! see you next time !
