I have - unfortunately - been into Foreign Auto Rebuild about five times due to being hit, or sliding downhill in snow. But that is not their fault. Anyway, their work is always impeccable - whether it be painting, or dents, or welding. Some of the reviews indicate they are expensive. Often the best repair is the more expensive choice. However, Jeff has always discussed all the options with me. In cases where there are choices, they started with the cheaper one - usually it worked. My insurance company - USAA - recommends them - I assume because they are reliable and rework is not necessary. They do have a small staff, so when your car is in for a one week fix, it is best practice to call them up after two days and see how things are going. I do this with my regular auto dealer - usually during the day since those are not more than one day jobs - and it is what I do with any contractor. I find reviews that gripe about lack of communication may indicate the reviewer did not get involved enough in the process. Repairs require judgment during the process. And if somehow Foreign Auto Rebuild did not send in the forms, verify where they sent them to. I recommend them for anything. But as always, get more than one estimate - and make sure you know the details of what is being provided in the estimate.

I recently took my BMW 135i to Foreign Auto Rebuild because they were a preferred shop with USAA. All the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. When I went to visit the shop, they were quick to give me a repair estimate. Everyone who knows me, knows I love my car and took really good care of it. Sadly, USAA did wind up totaling the car so I wasnt able to have the work done. I was really hoping the car would be worth fixing but had to let the car go. The staff gave me the opportunity to retrieve some items from the car which saved me a trip to the salvage yard after they tow it away which I really appreciate. Thanks to Julie in the front office for your initial consultation and advice. Thanks to Kirk Ingertila and Jeff Jones for making me feel at home and well taken care of. Looking around the shop I could tell the techs were extremely skilled in auto body work. The shop may seem small from the street but they have an enitre lower level dedicated to paint. From the looks of several cars I saw, repairs were undetected and the paint looked flawless. I would not hesitate to take my car there in the future.

I cannot say enough positive things about Foreign Auto Rebuild. I have used them for three repairs to my BMW. One was for a minor bumper tough up on the front of the car. That paint touch up was flawless. No dust spots, bleeding or streaking. It looked like new with absolutely no hint of color mismatch. A very hard thing to do with my past experiences. Second repair was a minor scrape and denting to the 3/4 panel. Again, the dent was gone, with no signs of warping of the metal, flawless paint touch up and the clear coat glowed like it was new. Job was done on time and right. Some people have complaints about the cash or check only policy. I have none. They come in on price with their estimates and do not go through the hoops of being charged a fee for credit cards. They pass the savings on to you. Only complaint I have with this place is that the door edge film guard was not replaced when the car was painted. It is a minor thing, but an extra thing I had to do to get the car back to pre-accident condition.

Recently had repairs done to my vehicle from a side swipe in Capitol Hill. Repair shop was close to my work and made the drop off convenient. Drop of process was fast and efficient. Everyone who worked here was professional and friendly. My geico rep said all of the repair facilities were extremely busy right now so I anticipated the service to take a week or so. I was shocked to find out my car was finished in two days. Team also did a great job of cleaning my car, which I did not expect but it was a great surprise! I would absolutely recommend F.A.B. To anyone who is looking for reliable auto body service. Thanks guys!

This place was great. They were able to work with my schedule to get my car in the shop. Dropped it off over the weekend and received a notification first thing on Monday that they had my car. I think there was a slight tech issue (could have been on my end), but I didnt receive the updates throughout the week as I had been expecting. Just took a quick call and they assured me they were on track and good to go. My car looks like new! They even did a little cleaning on the inside which was unexpected, but appreciated. If my car gets hit again, this will be my go to place!

had multiple experiences with this shop over the years (they are recommended by State Farm and their work is under warranty) and always had good experiences. In one case there was a dent on the car body over the front tire and I was nervous that it was going to cost and arm and a leg. But the guy came out and with a tool, popped it out and it looked like new. No charge. He could have said "that will cost you $300" and I would have paid it but he didnt, he was super honest. I go back to them because of that!

I was referred to Foreign Auto Rebuild by USA after my BMW X5 was damaged. USA gave me 2 numbers one with TERRIBLE reviews on yelp and Foreign Auto Rebuild which I 100% condone. They were communicative, fairly priced, timely, and did an amazing job on my X5. Additionally, its a metallic black color which is very hard to do and they did an amazing job. Kudos to these guys for running a classy and outstanding business. Dont use anyone else in the city for body work get it done right.

Kirk is my go to guy for auto body repairs, Ive probably had 4 jobs in his shop over the last 10 years. Kirk, Lisa and the rest of the Foreign Auto Repair team have always gone above and beyond with my repairs, doing flawless repairs, dealing with my insurance adjuster, providing me with a ride to and from the car rental place, and doing everything on time or ahead of schedule. I wish all business operated as smoothly as FAR. Thanks guys!!!

After 4 calls to both my Insurance company as well as Foreign Auto Rebuild and over 3 WEEKS, Foreign Auto Rebuild has still not sent my Insurance company the pictures needed to finalize my claim. Absolutely terrible service. Go here if you enjoy headaches and being inconvenienced. I never write online reviews, but if I could save 1 person the trouble that Ive endured then this was worth it.

Went in for an estimate for some light scratches and a small dent thats only noticeable from a few feet away. My other two estimates were $732 after tax (Maaco) and $750 before tax (small local shop). Foreign Auto Rebuild wanted $2022, and that was the price without insurance. Even if the work was perfect I could buy half a used car for that.
