Just had the best experience getting my IPhone6 fixed. I had dropped my phone accidentally and shattered the face. I had phone insurance and contacted them, only to be put through so much frustration! They had my SS# and phone but still made me try to answer more security questions that only my mother and great-grandmother would know about me. A friend told me about CPR (cell phone repair) looked it up and found three in Santa Cruz County. The one in Capitola Mall useless, the other Santa Cruz Computer Shop on Water St. Well they must sleep all day during business hours. Went to Kangaroo and there was absolutely no wait or problem. They fix it in one hour $139. Ive paid for insurance every month for nothing! Needless to say its canceled.

My i-phone battery wouldnt charge. I went through all the trouble shooting steps I could find online - including gently brushing the charging port for lint - but it didnt fix it. I arrived at Kangaroo 20 minutes after they opened on a Sunday. There was no wait at all. I told Mike all the steps I had gone through and he calmly said, "hmm, let me try". I took a seat and grabbed a paper but I had to put it right back down. It took Mike less than 5 minutes to revive my phone and save my Sunday. He even helped me put the new case I bought on my phone on and show me how the weird looking plastic piece it came with was a little stand. I wont hesitate to go to Kangaroo next time Im in distress.

Took my phone to repair for broken screen, and got it back days after the stated date, with a flat-head screwdriver indentation between the screen and the metal frame of phone (for which I paid about $140)... In about 2+ months the screen stopped working, I took it back hoping that they could at least tell me what was wrong with it, they would not even look at it unless I paid them for another diagnostic. Penny pinchers! Prancing poachers!! I correctly decided not to give them another cent and fixed the phone myself. A year plus later I have a working phone with no issues for 1/4 their charge. Spend your money somewhere else.

There was no wait, and the people were nice to me, but they did a horrible job at fixing my screen. Had to pay $200+ to get my front and back screen replaced. Got the phone back, both screens are lifting off my phone, also my home screen button is falling off. Bring it back to them, they blame the frame on my phone, so I bought a frame (another $50) and had them do it again. Got the phone back again, the button works but isnt sitting right and the front and back screen are lifting again. Maybe its cause I have a Samsung, but they did a really bad job.

The web page says 1. Quality you can trust - I took my phone in and they said they ordered all the wrong parts 2. Affordable - they still charge you for parts even if they dont fix your phone 3. Quick turn around - told us it would take 2 hours, been back three times and they still cant get my phone fixed the same day. Over all horrible experience, would not recommend them to anyone and will never take my items to them again, staff and management very unprofessional.

Impressed with the integrity of this business AND the fact they are open on Sundays...my phone had broke Saturday night, and I brought it in the next day - it was fixed in 5 minutes. No charge! Of course, the home button didnt need replacing like I had thought, but they diagnosed this and fixed the problem within the first few minutes of me walking in and were friendly about it. Great experience!

Mixed reviews... Phone has been out of commission, in the shop, waiting for parts.. supposedly fixed it, , broke again, took it back,, and now supposedly fixed again.. so well see!? Workers are shady, greasy, trench coat, comic book dudes, yet somewhat friendly.. just enough to get by, Id say.. Updates maybe in the future.. 2 stars for effort

2017 update: they moved business to Galleria shopping center behind Mobo sushi. Ask for a coupon at AT&T or Verizon stores and you could get 15% off. They may also have that same coupon behind the desk which you can request before they ring you up. $169 total price for iPhone screen replacement.

Phone got fixed but after only a day or so a crack appeard on phone and speak out. I Asked And they said it wasnt their fault so I decided to ask about where they got that screen but that information "cant be disclosed" so Im going to get my other phones and tablet fixed somewhere else.

This is the third time they fixed my phone (Im not much of a techie and need frequent help). Two of the times were on Sunday and they have yet to charge me anything. Each time it was in minutes. Thats service!

Very mixed experience. People were nice, but we had to bring our tablet in three times to get it finally fixed. Not sure they know exactly what they are doing when it goes beyond popping a new screen in.
