When I first stopped in, Id planned on comparing prices of other nearby storage shops that day, but never got that far. Janean took quite a bit of time to listen and understand what kind of storage I was looking for and made a couple of recommendations. As I was considering renting long-term, I really appreciated the time and effort taken to find the best possible unit, and not try to rush me into any available storage unit. The result is that Ive been continuing to rent there for around 4 years now as a very satisfied customer. If I were to summarize the reasons, itd be: - Down-to-earth service, and always willing to help out. On one occasion, I needed to find a tool tighten up something Id placed in storage, and they went out of their way to find what they had that I might be able to use. - Reasonable prices. Perhaps not the best "move-in special", but they also dont rush to increase your rates every few months as some of the other storage places sometimes do. - Clean. I dont go there often, but every time I have gone there, the property was always was clean and secure. Given my experience up-to-date, Ill probably keep renting there for years to come.

My wife and I parked my car on the street in front of this place a while back and my wife took the dog out of the car on a leash as we planned to walk down to the farmers market. Some fat old lady started hollering about rat poison and told us we couldnt walk our dog there. At first I thought is was one of the mentally ill homeless people that Santa Cruz is famous for, but then I was this fat troglodyte waddle into the office. I went into the office to see if there was some sort of problem and asked why this idiot was yelling at me and my wife. I was told that I am not allowed to walk my dog there and that they put poison out along the sidewalk (where it can run off into the drain and out into the bay) ! SHOCKING these clowns are poisoning the entire bay! I told the fat stupid cow that I can park my car on the street there and that there is no law against walking my dog there. I THINK THE PEOPLE OF SANTA CRUZ NEED TO KNOW THAT THIS BUSINESS IS NOT ONLY POISONING RODENTS BUT THE MONTERREY BAY!!! As me and my wife went on our way the fat ugly old bag brought out two goons who tried to intimate us and maid veiled threats to my dog! THESE PEOPLE HATE DOGS!

I had a storage unit here for 16 months at $225 per month, when I signed up I was told it was month to month, and always paid on time. We wanted to add my sister to the account and provided all the necessary doumentation (Her DL, etc). Then after was told she couldnt access the account. I would get yelled at when I would come with a trailer to move pieces out. And then was changed a $100 move out fee, with a hidden 10 day notice pro rate. This guy has the corner of the west-side storage business so he thinks he can be a a**hole to his customers who pay a premium price. I know it might be convienient, but stay AWAY..STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY. Go to the other storage units in santa cruz, there is no way they could be any worse.

Having been a patron at Statewide Storage for several years, I highly recommend this facility to entrust my property. The site is always clean and safe no matter what time I have to stop in and its in great part due to the highly professional manager, Janine! She is very warm and accommodating and has a no nonsense approach. I dont worry about my stuff because she and John do an excellent job of keeping everything organized. Janine is a Very conscientious Manager and I feel Im in great hands there and my belongings are secure. Highly recommend this Statewide Storage.

Ive been storing with State Wide for almost a year now. They were the best facility I could find with the best rates in Santa Cruz. Super clean. Very secure. The manager, Janine, is AWESOME!! She has helped me so much with all the complicated situations I created.. friends coming to get things for me and whatnot. Ive gotten to know her enough over the last year to know that the negative comments are COMPLETELY FALSE! I can honestly say Ive never had a more pleasant experience with a business. Thanks Janine, for the great service!

The lady that runs the place is very unprofessional, an alcoholic-I could smell booze on her from 10 feet away-a liar, and she discriminates based on her own made up fairy tales and tried to say I was on her no rent list when I have never rented a storage space there. Shes delusional discriminating and very rude and I really think that the owners will be better served to find somebody else to run their facility because she is insane

This is a great place for university students to store their small items, like kitchen, books, bikes, tvs, etc. The price is fair, especially for 3-4 months. The place is always clean and it has a very friendly atmosphere. The people who are in charge are very friendly and very nice and they make you feel nice, and you know with their personality, that your items will be safe.

I was originally helping a disabled friend with his storage unit here. Janine has been VERY helpful the entire time. When it came time for my own storage unit needs I did not think twice about where I wanted to do business. The facility is extremely clean and safe. I highly recommend Statewide on the Westside of Santa Cruz for all your storage needs.

I moved some of my things from another storage on the West Side that doubled the rent after a year. Statewide is clean, organized, and the price is reasonable. Jeanine at the front desk is helpful , professional and friendly. Shes amazing! The property is well-maintained.

dont really keep people out. let people in my unit that were not alound. let my lock get vandalized didnt notfi me nor do anything about it. did not keep the tapes for the police. IF YOU WANT YOUR STUFF SAFE DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
