Our hot water heater went out this past Saturday and although I valiantly tried to repair it myself I couldnt get it going. The pilot light wouldnt stay lit. By the time I had finished trying to repair it the time was past 8:00 pm. I was pretty sure it was the thermocouple that had gone bad -- and I knew this part wasnt going to be available from any retail store on the weekend. The prospect of going without hot water for a couple of days didnt appeal to me and especially didnt appeal to my wife. I went online to look for a 24/7 emergency plumber. I called one of the plumbers listed but I was told they couldnt get the part -- I would have to get it myself. Not the answer I was hoping to hear. One of the other plumbers listed was Barcena Plumbing. I had seen Barcena Plumbings trucks on the roads in Simi Valley where we live on a number of occasions so I called them and left a message with their answering service. Within half an hour I got a call back from Pablo. We spoke about the problem and he asked me to take a digital photo of a portion of the control wiring on the HWH and send it to him. He called right back after I sent the photo and said he had a universal thermocouple that would fit our unit and could come out within 45 minutes. I told him to come on out and he arrived right on time and had the HWH back on and working fine within about 15 minutes. It wasnt cheap (about $230.00) -- but for a Saturday night home repair to this vital home appliance it was worth it to us. I would have no reservations about recommending Barcena Plumbing after this experience with them. Everything about Pablo and the company itself seems to be highly professional and well run.

Pablo & Teresa are the owners and are a local Simi Valley family. On the day of service Teresa contacted me a couple of times by phone to keep me posted as to the progress of the plumber due to arrive at our home. When Pablo arrived he was very professional and knowledgeable and very patient with my over-exuberant dog. Pablo even fixed an unrelated plumbing issue at no extra cost. Well done Barcena Plumbing!

This company is as good as it gets for customer service and quality of work. Steve and Pablo show up on time, get the work done in a timely manner, and the price is great! Ive used them on a remodel, and to unclog a stoppage down the line from my kitchen sink. Teresa is always super helpful when I call. Dont look any further. If you want the job done right and with attention to detail, then Barcena Plumbing should be your first call. Found them through a referral and could not be happier. Had some bad experiences with some other local companies.
