Took my car in to Protech because I wanted to find out about an engine light code. They made me pay about $150 or so for the diagnosis. They then just told me later that I would need a new engine which is in the 4-5k price range. They also said that my cat was bad which they wouldnt fix unless I got a new engine. Sure, Ill just pay up 6k on a car I bought for 4k. Right. So I took the car over to Tehachapi Transmissions. For free they did the diagnosis. In about an hour, they discovered that I basically had a loose spark plug, a cover gasket oil leak and a bad coil. Cost was about $300. I think if Protech had actually opened the hood of my car and looked inside before making their determination, they would have seen this too. Maybe I shouldnt have mentioned to Protech that it was burning oil (because it wasnt, it was in fact leaking oil). But they took my word for it and thats how it went. Either way, the huge diagnosis fee is enough to avoid this place.

I was traveling from Denver to California. Didnt really have a direct destination on the west coast, but all I knew was that I wanted to be on the coast. Well, my car decided to give me trouble as I reached Cali, and luckily I found Protech Auto Service. They took great care of my car, and now it runs amazing. I feel like I could drive all the way to the east coast now! Thanks for the great service.

My car was driving rough and bottoming out when I hit a pothole so I took it into Protech Auto service and they replaced my shocks and struts. They were very reasonably priced, professional and quick. I was back on the road in no time and this is the best my car has ever driven since I bought it! I will use Protech Auto Services for everything from now on!

I needed to have a handful of minor things done to my car so I took it into protech auto. My steering wheel was shaking so I needed an alignment and new brakes as well as a routine oil change. They did a fantastic job on all of my repairs and the price for everything was very reasonable! I will keep using them for my repair needs!

I know my car is in good hands whenever I get it serviced at Protech Auto. The men give the best explanations of what will be done, and they get the job done quick. I really appreciate the professionalism as well. I try to recommend your services to people whenever I can.

Paid $40 so they could tell me that they couldnt start the smog test because it was idleing too low. But they would charge me $200+ to fix it. Took it home and two turns of an allen screw and it was okay. <5 min fix. Not very friendly staff either.

I took my vehicle to be smog and they tampered with certain parts and hoses so my vehicle wouldnt pass smog. Before I took my car there my engine was quiet then i start having problems. If you go there for auto work beware these people are crooks.

I had a blown radiator. Bought the part and went over there the owner was super cool funny and polite. They took a 3 hour job and were able to do it in 2. Would definitely recommend great service and skill 10/10 stars.

Fair and honest which is a hard combination to find these days. They take the time to thoroughly explain what is needed. They are timely and cost is very reasonable. I highly recommend this establishment.
