So on a Wed I took my truck here to get it fixed. I was having a common problem with an F 150 when I arrived I told them what I felt the problem was described to a t online by many other f150 owners even told them the part they will probably need. They told me "we will hook it up to the machines and see what it says for 80 bucks." 80 buck was the lowest price I had heard for a diagnostic so I agreed. 2 hours later I get a call saying they are 70% sure its the spark plugs and because its special spark plugs its going to take them a long time to replace it and tell me its around 480 dollars but Ill drop the diagnostic down 40 cause it was really quick once he did it (awesome).well they are the experts and and the machine said it and hes 70 percent sure. So I agree, knowing I have 541 dollars in life savings and barely can afford it (they dont know that). so here it goes missing a day of work and 520 dollar investment. So 5 hours pass I get the call I come and pick it up.i get told, tested it out its all good. I say great hand over my life savings at this point and drive home I tested it out a little bit but my last 20dollars was for gas to get me to and back from work Thursday until payday Friday.so I couldnt drive around to much. On the way to work the next day the truck goes haywire I almost get stranded 3 times, all in terrible places to get stranded and the check engine light comes on. I miraculously make it to work and call these guys "Im so sorry just bring it in" he tells me. I explained that I work 12 hours and am 70 miles away and already missed a day of work for them to fix it. I cant miss another day so maybe Ill bring it Monday on my day off. He then just said ya bring it in we will fix it and offered nothing of use not even a mention of free. or or anything like that. so if not free why would I take it back to them? they made it worse! That day was spent calling in favors to get a part bought for me (borrowing money) so I could drive to a friends after work and hope I could fix it myself. oh yah 10 at night by the way I was gonna start work not knowing how long it was gonna take or even if I could do it. Good thing the part literally took 10 minutes to install and was 56 bucks to buy at the auto store. And problem was fixed. So basically I paid 520 dollars, plus loosing out on 12 hours of work about 300 dollars. So 820 dollars into a problem that cost less than 60 and 10 minutes WTF REALLY? This did happen about a month ago and it has bothered me since. especially since living paycheck to paycheck and not being able to recover from this massive amount of money they took Im now staring at eviction at the end of the month. Bottom line here, this place wants as much money as possible from you to do poor auto repair work. they start at the most expensive and work down. People need to Always demand cheapest solution first. Dont get swindled like me. 1 star for 820 dollars and not fixing the problem

Wonderful auto repair shop. A+++++ I cant say enough about the great experience that I had at Advance Auto. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I got my brakes replaced there and they did a superb job! I had my original factory pads replaced and rotors resurfaced all around on my Honda Civic. After getting the car back it feels like the car brakes better than it was new. My car now brakes very smoothly with no sound. They had all parts in stock and even showed me the old brake pads they took off to help educate me as to how much wear there was for my mileage. They showed me the new Honda factory pads before they installed them and confirmed that it was exactly what I wanted. Ive been to many shops before and this was the first shop to really go above and beyond without me even asking. Very honest and trustworthy shop. I came here after talking to 3 co-workers who all have their cars serviced here. They had nothing but good things to say so I gave them a try. Im glad that I was able to find this shop and will be referring all of my friends there. Ive been to about 4-5 other shops and dealerships around Tracy and this is by far the best! Ill definitely be back! 5 stars! I highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately I have to give Advance Auto (Previously Watson Auto) a negative review. I went to Jessie for almost a year, brought him a total of 3 cars to work on and although he was very nice and polite, I was quite disappointed when I had break issues that started after he serviced my car. He then said he would replace the breaks he put in with Dealer breaks, charged me the difference, but did not fix the problem. I finally took the car to the dealership and they told me the issue were not the brakes and also added that the breaks in there were not dealer originals. I took it to another shop who also told me the same thing. At that moment Jessie lost my business and my family’s business. I would not recommend him to anyone, especially if advertising repairs on all makes and models, to not be able to figure out brakes and to also lie about the materials being put in there? Is just not my kind of place.

Ive been going to Jesse since he was just a little guy/one-man shop on a side road off the beaten path. He has always offered me excellent service and his repairs have always held up. I can speak to his services as both honest and efficient, and at a competitive price. The way I see it, I can either go to the "stealership" and get my car worked on, or I can go to Advance. That said, theyre moving on up in the world now and have a relatively new shop right on the main road (11th) and they can even smog you. You get what you pay for...I think theyre $85 per hour, or at least in that ball park. Its way better than the $100+ youd pay at the dealership, and the dealerships markup on parts are RIDICULOUS. Nissan once tried to charge me $500 on a window motor/regulator that I later found online for $75!!! Go to Jesse and those guys and gals over at Advance Auto; they wont let you down.

First off, i am an industrial mechanic, i work on multimillion dollar machines. The concept of a car is NOT beyond my grasp. I walked in to Advance auto and when i told the owner, im assuming it was the owner, evryone else was dressed like they were going to work, this guy was dressed like he was going to the lake. I told him what work i needed done, an without even looking at my vehicle, he start trying to sell me a bunch of crap i dont need. Telling me i needed this and that and never offering an explanation why. "I think i came in to the wrong place" i exclaimed then left. I cant believe the ratings this guy has? Clearly friends and family are working overtime on the internet to keep his ratings in good standing. Well, i call you a thief, heres one star for you!
