I wrote a one-star review earlier this month and this business obviously removes the honest ones. The point of reviews is for customers to keep businesses honest and honor their advertised claims and services. They dont. My rates have tripled since I moved in. They claim they spray monthly for pests and rodents; they dont. Spiders, roaches, and mice nesting cozy among your antiques and collectibles. They claim security...they may look like cameras, but they arent on. They state how clean the units are, they are not! The walls shed this weird, fine substance that coats like a nasty veil...layers of yuk on everything of what I believe to be a dangerous, carcinogenic press-board fall off that gets cooked on by excessive heat and dampness within poorly ventilated building causing mold, damage and smell on all items. The electronic door stopped working 15 minutes prior to advertised closing hours and locked me in...twice! They claimed the clocks must have been off with no apology for the inconvenience...Id called the local number and attempted buzzing the live on site security person with no luck. Had to leave car over night, climb over the security fence, and walk 3 miles home. They put red lock on my unit when I was only 4 days from my move in date late. This is an illegal practice that Public Storage was recently sued for and lost; But Extra Space will lock you out at their whim as they use strong arm customer bullying once they get you moved in...Before you sign their move in contract read the pages and pages of fine print; youll discover you have limited to zero rights as becoming the norm with such large profit over service based companies. Im venting my frustrating writing this review. My main grievance is that my rate has tripled since I moved in. If Im late they charge $20 per unit, not per transaction. They will harass you with emails and phone calls after the 1st of month not honoring your move in anniversary date. They threaten collections if you give notice to move out and donate your unit. I moved because of this promise that they no longer honor. They still auction delinquent units with the popularity of shows like Storage Wars. They will auction your units off if youre delinquent but still report you to collections. Shady business practices. Not customer friendly. When I moved in I was allowed to use the on site garbage bins-another contract breech . The garbage area may be the only area they point a working camera and they tell you youll be charged a fee, or threaten you with one.

Notice Extra Storage only has generic, 5 star reviews...they wont post or will hide honest, unfavorable reports, like mine. (they removed my review from last week). They obviously use bot reviews. Only one from a long list of questionable and shady business practices. Theyll triple your rate. They can change, without any notice any policies that bind you but give them freedom to take advantage. Before you move in, read this lengthy corporate contract that strips you of any rights...way to implement customer service . This place has rodent and roach infestations and how so much dirt accumulates is a mystery; coming in from under door and over head open blowing in so much dust...what a surprise after paying to store fine furniture and family heirlooms for years that the deterioration so extreme I would have had better luck using my back yard! Dont be stupid like me and get yourself locked in a contract where your crap is held ransom!

I cant say enough good things about Extra Space Storage and Cindy Lou. Moving is never a fun experience, and putting your stuff into storage can sometimes be sad. Those were the emotions that my parents went through. However, with the help of Cindy Lou, the experience was as pleasant as it could be. She was very accommodating and helpful whenever we needed it and extremely pleasant to talk to. The storage units themselves were extremely clean. We had our stuff in storage for 5 months and everything looks exactly as it did when we put it in there. There was minimal bugs which was a huge thing for my mom and dad. I recommend extra Space Storage for your moving needs. You most definitely will not be disappointed and your storage units are carefully watched 24/7!!!

I have to say that most of the time needing a storage space is due to some sort of loss...it was for me, the manager there was amazing, Jermaine, he cared about my stuff being safe and that it was a tough time for me. In fact one month I had forgotten to pay and he called and so so nice, I answered the phone and he said who he was and asked if I was doing ok? NOT your late...etc... Then I realized I had forgotten to pay it! He was nice to work wiht everytime I saw him there, never crabby or grumpy and the moving van free.....yup that was the best thing to help me and I soo appreciated having him and I believe his wife there when I needed anything!! I was able to close the storage, but am so gald to write this review!!!! They are AWESOME

Moving to the area and needed a storage for the time I have until my new apartment was ready, the gentleman in the office was so wonderful as was the manager I believe her name was Mary, I was lucky enough that I ended up being able to get into my house sooner then expected and didnt need the unit I almost reserved but had I needed it I would have felt perfectly fine leaving my possessions with the staff at this location, it was really clean and it felt really secure, management lives onsite it was gated even. I would recommend renting here even though I didnt get the pleasure to. Next move I will know immediately where to go!

Me and my husband reserved a unit online, it as a Saturday night to we had to be there at 5:30 pm. Coming from the Bay we got stuck in traffic, so we called Mary to tell her we were not going to be able to make it. With out any kind of hesitation she said she would wait for us until we could arrive, when we got there she was so attentive and knowledgable! Made me feel so safe to leave some of my things behind! she is personable and very good with costumers. You know what they say, half a business is their happy costumers! and we are DELIGHTED!

If you are moving or just need a place to store your extra belongings, Extra Space Storage in Tracy is your place. Their pricing is competitive and they are great to work with. The place is clean, and they provide top-notch customer service. Mary is always so helpful both in- person and over the phone. Going above and beyond, Galen drove us to the auto shop when our car battery died—just before closing! They even have a moving truck that customers can use--saving us several hundred dollars!

I went to several places for quotes and my storage need. Beside the attractive pricing, the customer services was "EXCEPTIONAL". Mary & Galen is super nice and attentive to my family needs. Also, the Free Truck is an added bonus to help with our moving easier. Overall, I would highly recommend "Extra Space Storage" to everyone I know, because everything & everyone with it was the BEST Ive experienced in a long time, coming from a Customer Service background myself.
