When this shop first opened as D&G, the two brothers who operated it were straightforward, honest and had talented mechanics. Now that it is Autowise ("We fix everything") Ive had nothing but grief. After the first time, I thought maybe I got them on a bad day, but the problem returned. They came in with a high quote (over $1,000) to fix a "bad sensor" that took them three days to diagnose and fix. There are three reasons I wont do any business with them in the future: 1. They did NOT offer to give me the replaced part. 2. My car was a mess when I picked it up. It was parked in their dirt lot with the windows rolled down and the fusebox cover lying on the dashboard. It did not appear than any seat covers had been used. 3. As with the first time I went in, they recommended that I get a new battery. I did this after the first time, so they said this about a brand-new battery that has been working fine. 4. They failed to notice that the REAL reason the car was running raggedy was because it needed both front and rear catalytic converters. My former shop (further away, but worth the drive) found it and fixed it in one day. So, I feel ripped off and mistreated by Autowise in Union City and cannot recommend their service. As another poster said, the guy working the desk is a great guy. The guys he works for dont seem to care about customers or their vehicles, only getting that credit card number in the end.

Just received their coupon for Oil change Special and free holiday Check-up. I took my Mercedes and they gave me the highest quote around $96. I accepted their quote for oil change and a bunch of service they claim they perform (tire rotation, check fluids, change oil filter, etc.). Have the car back after couple hours, I found the tire was not rotated, the coolant cap still covered with dusts. I called the shop, but they insisted the tired was rotated. Next day, I stopped by and talked to the owner. I told him the tire has never been rotated because a small scratch in the front passenger side rim remained in the front. Then he changed his voice and told me that not all Mercedes required a tire rotation. I was so skeptical about his response, and then I requested to see the old oil filter they took out from my car. He could not shown me the old filter . Instead, he got extremely upset and raise up his voice with hate speech. I cannot believe the owner`s attitude was so rude to customer. I will not trust this shop anymore. I dont think that they actually do all these extras check up. Im even wondering if they actually changed the oil filter for my Mercedes?( Not many auto repair shop carry the Mercedes special oil filter). Forget their coupons. They have no integrity and just try to sell other services for more money. Autowise - not a wise choice.

Yep, thats how long it took them. came in here a while back and used a coupon they sent in the mail. i even had an appointment. they also offered to fix my burnt out headlight for $78--that is more than even the DEALER charges ($70)!!! the upside to this place is that its clean and the guys are pretty nice. they also have a free shuttle service so i didnt have to sit around and wait forever. but, since they told me it would only take them 1.5 hours max and they never called to update me and tell me they were backed up (i had to call) i wont ill be going back. whats the purpose of an appointment if you can get bumped by other customers who bring their cars in? waste of my time. .......AND THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY WRITING FAKE REVIEWS ON GOOGLE MAPS!!! look at the other reviews here: they are all 5 stars, are about the same length, all have been found "helpful", and all were written on an apparent "review spree" since they are all from around the same dates. a little curious, ya think?! autowise, you guys are pathetic! GO TO YELP AND SEE HOW BADLY THIS PLACE RANKS!!!! that a business would stoop to this level to try to balance the negative reviews they get is unbelievably shady!

They are very rude and angry. Whenever they can, would overcharge you and if you ask why, they become unrespectful. I would never ever go there. They wanted to overcharge (we got better prices from two other auto repair shops, like half the price these guys offered) and we decided not to use their services. That simple, right? Apparently not! Im a 55 woman and as soon as they knew were gonna leave, a big guy started shouting nonsense!! Unbelievable how angry and rude he was... he was like why dont you get a job, so you can pay for your f... ing car!!! I was shocked and my hand was shaking, I never saw someone this abusive towards their customers. I thought maybe I should call the cops, but I didnt want to waste my time and energy on some rude stranger with anger issues. Bottom line, dont go there, specially if youre a woman or an immigrant.

I dont know what all the bad reviews are about. If you want a speedy oil change without the full inspection of your vehicle than an speedy oil is for you but I personally take my vehicle to them so I can get an oil change and a full inspection for the price of an oil change. It gives me confidence knowing that if there is anything else that needs to be done to keep me safe on the road that they are there to tell me. It also keeps my car in good condition. The service is great and the guys are extremely pleasant. Sure parts may be a little higher priced but atleast I know that they are backed with a warranty. Dont you think that is worth it?

There is a ticking noise from the steeling column when I am driving over 70 mph. I first took it to a dealership and they told me I need to replace the entire steeling components which causes $2500+. I then took my car to Autowise and they found that there are just some loosing joints causing the noise. They tightened them for me and now the noise is gone. Further more, they did not charge me anything! I think they are very honest and it saves me $2500+!!! This is not my first visit to them and Im always very satisfied about their service. Highly recommend!

Ive been going to Autowise for years. The people who work there are friendly and professional. Right now my family owns and maintains 5 cars. Autowise services all of them, and I have never been stuck by the side of the road in any of them because they do such good work. That is very important to me, especially when my children are behind the wheel. As far as price goes...cars are not cheap to maintain! I would recommend that you shop around. You might find a better price, but remember the old saying...You get what you pay for!

I used a coupon I received in the mail and saved a few dollars. The courtesy and service was good. They provided a shuttle service. But they did not rotate my tires and inspect my exhaust system as I was told was part of the package. So for that, I cannot give them a better rating and cannot recommend this shop. I do not recommend against it but shop around before deciding on this one. There are cheaper places too. My search for a local, dependable and good repair shop continues.
