I LOVE Tej and Sam, they are truly a full service shop! They not only care about giving you the best price but they care about you as a customer! When I first owned an accord a couple years back he worked on my car and when I upgraded to a BMW Tej helped me explore some options and warned me of the maintenance costs in the long run!! What other car repair shop actually tries to help save you $$? I moved from Fremont to Belmont and figured I could just get my car repaired closer to home. By no surprise I ran into the same problems that I had experienced in the past with mechanics, high costs and unnecessary repairs!! The other repair shop suggested a new engine, I called Tej and it was a radiator and a valve!! I drive from Belmont to still get serviced by West Coast Auto Repair even for oil changes because I know I’m getting the best service and price!! All my referrals love him too. They have fixed all my car problems on my BMW cheaper than other shops did on my ACCORD! They completely service my car and I notice that if it’s a job that take more than a day I come out with a washed car and nice car freshener scents!! Thanks guys Im so glad I came across your shop 3 years ago!!!

I am somewhat of an older car collector and all of my cars have been serviced/maintained and fixed by TJ and Sam at West Coast Auto Repair. Their prices are very resonable and they do wonderful work. They wont hesitate to take on any job or work on any make, year or model. Some of the services I have had done include brakes, axles (front and rear), suspension, shocks, A/C, steering, tuneup, convertible top, electrical and oil changes. They have worked on my 1963 VW karman ghia, 1965 Sunbeam Alpine, 1968 Datsun Roadster, 1990 Saab Turbo 900 and 1990 VW Vanagon. I wouldnt take my car to any other shop. Its not easy to find an auto shop where you have complete trust that the job will be done correctly and in a timely manner. Since I have found West Coast Auto I havent take my cars to any other shops. And to top it all off, TJ and Sam are extremely nice people. It is a refreshing change to find folks like this in the auto service industry. Regards, David Cohen

For someone who does not know anything about cars (except for fueling it up), West Coast Auto Repair has been a great boon for my familys modest car fleet. I have been using their services for a decade now and never once felt that I was getting ripped off (big problem with other auto mechanic shops). If there is anything wrong with the car and needs fixing or replacement, Tej or Sam (the owners) would just let me know. Sometimes, they would recommend fixing it but its not urgent. It will run for another few thousand miles and then you can get it fixed during the next tune-up. Which mechanic shop gives you these options? Guys, if you want a reliable auto-mechanic without ever getting the feeling that you are getting ripped-off, go to them. I have recommended them to many of my friends and everyone is satisfied with them. Bay Areas best auto-mechanics - West Coast Auto Repair on Mowry Avenue in Fremont, CA.

I have been to auto repair shops numerous times and its never been satisfactory, some like dealerships charge premium fees for even taking a look at your car while others like shoddy auto shops cheat and lie without any guilt. This one is an exception. Neat shop. Really knowledgeable and very very honest. Tej and Sam explain everything patiently and only recommend the work thats really needed. They are very very technically strong. They were able to find a complex problem (check engine light with smoke on tailpipe) in half a day and recommended the one right fix for 170$, while pep boys charged 200$ for diagnosis and gave a vague answer with 4000$ repair estimate. Above all, Sam called a week later to confirm if the fix worked and everything is ok. Who is caring this much these days?

West Coast Auto stands out from the rest of the auto shops because of their excellent customer service and their honest service. I needed to replace my brakes and these guys did a brilliant job on my corolla. Now If you look at it I can go to any mechanic and get the same service done but its the great customer service and the willingness to go that extra mile by TJ that keeps me coming back to this place even for my oil changes. He always gives me a very personal experience and always listens to my needs and concerns unlike other places. The trust that TJ built with me just made me a customer for life. On top of all this I love the cup cakes he offer me :)

The work was done quickly and at a fair price. Sam took the time to call and explain what needed to be done and asked for my okay to do it. Then when I picked up my car the next day he showed me pictures taken during the repair, the broken parts that were replaced, and how everything went together under the hood. Sam made sure I understood what they did and answered all my questions without making me feel like an idiot. They also actually cleaned my car under the hood and inside, looks better than it has in years. I (almost) want something else to not work on my car so I can bring it back to West Coast Auto Repair for them to fix it.

I had been putting off taking my car to an auto shop to fix because Sears Auto told me there was a crack in my oil pan which I couldnt afford to fix at the time. However, I now wish I came here first. Not only was my problem diagnosed for much less, they fixed it on the spot and explained exactly what the problem was. (which by the way had NOTHING to do with a crack in the pan) I will definitely be going back since they seem to specialize in cars like mine. DONT EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY AT LARGE CHAINS/DEALERSHIPS! Theres a reason why this shop keeps its customers coming back! 5 stars for sure! Thanks guys!

I had a great experience. First time customer. After my 1997 Lexus ES300 failed 2 Smog Tests, I was referred to West Coast. I called and discussed the the problem with Sam. He said he could help, so I made an appointment for the next day. He quoted me the diagnostic rate and his strategy for solving the problem. It sounded great. After diagnosing my car Sam called me with a recommendation to solve the problem. I said yes. Sure enough after a couple of hours Sam called me back. Problem solved. Very, very, reasonable. No overselling of parts or services. It is nice to have a repair shop that you can trust.

"Ive been using West Coast Auto for 3 years. Never had any complaints. Last week took our BMW back to the dealer for work only they could preform. They "found" several other items they said needed repair. The bill would have been 3 times what we expected. We had the dealer only do what we brought the car in for Next i went to see West Coast Auto. Most of what the dealer said needed fixing didnt -- and what TJ said needed repair he fixed for 1/3 of the dealers estimate. I RECOMMEND WEST COAST AUTO TO ALL MY FRIENDS and nobody has ever complained. Im sure glad hes here in the neighborhood!"
