I love going to the gym and i am a fitness fanatic. I love this gym mostly because it is so close to me and very easy to get to. The parking lot is perfectly sized and has plenty of room to park and get around. However, inside the gym is something else... for the most part its nice, with really nice clean bathrooms, a nice swimming pool, and a nice fitness room. But its always so disgustingly warm in the gym. I think they can at least put on the A/C on to keep it nice and enjoyable. The equipment is disgusting, The mats against the wall and super gross, the machines are loud and honestly about to fall apart. Also another quick note is that when i signed up the lady helping me made the experience uncomfortable.

Between the this LA Fitness and the one across town i always choose this one, its cleaner, the people are nicer and the floor is set up perfectly. All the weights are on the bottom floor while the Cardio equipment is on the top floor (never fear if you cant make it up the stairs there is an elevator that will do the job for you). Each elliptical, stationary bike and treadmill have their own personal T.V. with a built in fan (lazy is fit now people!). My favorite time to go is during the morning hours but even if you go when its a bit more packed you are sure to enjoy a good work out!

This was my first time at this facility in Whittier. Just stopped in on a whim while traveling through the area for the first time. I have been in LA Fitness gyms in Illinois, Ohio, Florida and Arizona. The equipment was better than all of those other venues. I also thought the place was very clean as well. I was worried about theft out in the parking lot, since I did not know the area. This isnt just a Whittier problem. My home gym in Tinley Park, Ill has this same issue. There are idiots everywhere. Overall this was a very good facility and I would go back.

I felt like I was buying a car when signing up. Horrible experience!!! I complained that the monthly plan was explained differently then what was provided and yet no one has called me back to fix the problem. I havent cancelled and yet I cant even go back because Im so displeased with the lack of acknowledgment. I already paid $200 initiation fee dont want to lose that altogether! Feel stuck!! So even if your contract is lengthy and they try to skim through it without really letting you read it, please take the time to read it for yourself.

The facility is maybe 2 years old but feels older. Machines are not well maintained. Cardio equipment squeaks extremely loud but no one will take care of it. Many of the screens have black holes in the display. Some dont work at all. They have removed the bar and rope extensions for the weight machines so no one can use them and there is no explanation or eta to return the functionality of this very basic gym equipment. Im only a member because it is really close. LA Fitness gyms are consistently trashy and run down. No exception here.

Its ok. Zumba classes can get overcrowded, and they took Zumba off schedule on Thursday mornings (?) Latino cleaner on mens dressing room closing areas and using harmful chemicals such as Clorox every minute is too . much. I understand it needs to get cleaned, but not at 11 AM, noon and early afternoon. Why not have fixed cleaning times like first thing in the morning and last thing at night? Your patrons should take main priorities, and it bothers people to not to be able to use lockers/showers/pool/restrooms because its closed 24/7

Clean, equipment either 100% works or they take it out, and front desk is very friendly. Management interrupted me midset and to tell me to move my bag from the floor and failed to tell anyone else besides me. Also, asking someone to do something with weight on their chest is very dangerous! I understand there is rules but be consistent and aware of surroundings. If youre looking for a quick workout with a ton of machines come here. If youre looking for room to deadlift and room to do free weight activities dont go here.

worst experience ever. the manager and employees only care about taking your money. when talking to the manager she was busy with a personal call and couldnt care less. i was told i was going to get a refund in 2-3 days but they kept giving me excuses how it takes a while. Finally a month passed and gave me a number i could call about that. although it was too late to be refunded. thanks for screwing me over. still tried to charge me $100 for an unused membership.

When I came into the locker room from the pool to change there was a man in the locker room no sign or announcement I talked to the manage she said she sent him in . There was no apologies and I was told I could change in the bathroom. I called corporate with no satisfaction. Now there is a lot of scouring powider all over the floor and it gets all over my shoes and it gets transfered to my car and my house unexceptable

Been coming here off and on since they opened a couple years ago. Every once in a while is seems warm and I cant figure out how the staff doesnt notice squeaky equipment and not take care of it until it is pointed out. Even then it takes a couple of follow ups. Standard issues warning to not keep valuables in your car.

Its a clean up-to-date facility. Its a little on the crammed looking side when it comes to the heavy weight machines because they are bunched up. I switched from the 24 Hour Fitness to the L.A. the 24 hour is still better but plans and priced here are definitely better.

Ive been to a few LA Fitness so far and this ones my favorite. When it opened up most of the equipment was brand new, everything still in very good condition. Only downside is its a pretty popular gym now so it can get pretty packed in the evenings.

Darn, the guy I spoke with in membership is a complete idiot. And why dont these cesspools of bacteria allow us to sign up month to month and pay as we go. I have no desire of giving them a credit card or bank account number to "have on file.."

Bathrooms are poorly maintained. Cardio equipment seems cheap. Cuz when I use the treadmill or anything it shakes like its not designed for intense workouts.. over all its an ok gym. Not really impressed for it being as new as it is.

Great gym. Nice and clean. Hours suck. Front desk staff is unfriendly but personal trainers and sales reps are very nice. Dumbbells only go up to 100lbs but there is 2 of each pair and 4 pairs of 50lbs or less. Best gym in Whittier

Worst gym Ive been to nearly all the machines are broken nothing is ever organised. I asked a employee how long before they fixed their machines and he said April keep in mind those machines have been broken since early November
