I have been going to Drive Rite for ten years now and hate to say but I am very disappointed in what happened to me today. My check engine light came on last Friday, drove my 2003 Highlander straight home and left it parked until this moring (Monday). Tried starting it this am but had no luck...would not start, just made "clicking" noises. Called AAA for a tow and informed Drive Rite what had happened since Friday. Drive Rite called back a couple of hours later, saying that all I needed was a new battery. Good news...no expensive repairs...right???? Was told that the cost would be $130 for the battery, $25 labor cost and $50 dollars to diagnose the problem. Pretty expensive battery but what can I do...car is imobile and at the shop. Approve the cost. Pick up the car and discover the "check engine" light is still on. Call Drive Rite as soon as I get home and am informed that it would be an ADDITIONAL $95 to diagnose the check engine light. Drive Rite knew from the very beginning that the check engine light was on (gee could it have something to do with the dead battery????), but wants an additional $95 after charging $50 to tell me I have a dead battery. I had always felt confident that I could trust Drive Rite and they would not pad their bills...guess times have changed since I first started taking my car to Hari, but rest assured I will never take another car to Drive Rite. They have just lost two customers, both me and my husband.

Drive Rite sucks. I went there when they first opened up and Ive never been back. Took my truck in there to get smog. When I drove it out of there my Check Engine light came on. It was not on when I took it in there and it had never been on before that. They said they would put it on the diagnostic machine to see what was wrong with it but if it turned out to be something I did they would not only charge me to fix it but they would charge me another 100.00 for the diagnostic test. I knew it wasnt something I did cause I hadnt done nothing. I didnt even get to drive it 1/2 mile before the light came on and I took it back to them so I agreed to their terms. BIG MISTAKE. By the time they were done with me I owed them another 200.00. They explained to me how they had to do this and then had to do that in order to get my truck to pass smog and then how that messed this thing up over here and so it is my fault that my engine light came on. Because Im female and really dont know anything about cars or trucks they had me. I still knew it wasnt my fault but I wanted my truck back. I wrote them a check for the full amount and then went home. The next morning as soon as I woke up I called my bank and put a stop payment on the check.

I brought two vehicles to this place. The first experience should have given us an indication of how terrible the next one would be. My gripes are as follows: 1) TERRIBLE communication. Quotes for work go through the owner, Hari, who has now missed every single deadline hes given. When theyre actually working on your vehicle, they dont give progress reports, and the vehicle will sit idle if theres a question unless YOU call THEM! 2) EXORBITANT prices. They nickel and dime you for every part, whether you need it or not. I specifically told Hari that I had all new spark plugs and cables, for instance, and they ended up on the next quote anyway. I was verbally quoted for some possible engine rebuilding and the quote was for all possible rebuilding and new parts. 3) WASTE of time and money. Due to their poor communication, my partner and I wasted a great deal of travel time only to arrive at the promised hour with our vehicle not being ready...after theyd had it for more than two weeks. The moral of the story - prepare to not be communicated with, to pay very high prices, and for work to not be completed on time.

My wife and I have been using Drive Rite Autos services since moving to Windsor in 2004. Hari, the owner, and the Drive Rite staff have always gone above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of all our auto needs. I highly recommend Drive Rite Auto for anyone who lives in the Windsor, CA area.

We have been going to Drive Rite for many years and love the service we get there. The owner and employees are friendly and professional. It gives us great peace of mind knowing that we can count on Drive Rite to provide great service at a fair price every time!

Very nice but very expensive. A tune up and an oil change cost me over 2,000.00 for a toy cam in good shape. Never again, I am disabled and live on a fixed income: after going there for almost 10 years,I simply cannot afford them anymore!

Every time we take a car in for a smog they find a reason to charge a ton of money to fix stuff. Then we take the car somewhere else and it passes just fine..somethings up. this has happened twice...

Exceptional customer service. They list out what your car needs done as a SUGGESTION to the customer instead of "we did it, pay for it".
