Ive been to this location of LA Fitness several times, and Ive never had a bad experience. Granted, I would always come in the middle of the day during my lunch break when the gym was pretty empty, but Ive always left after a good workout. Located on busy Imperial Highway, this gym is not hard to miss. I dont feel like it would ever get as busy as some of the other locations just because theres a good number of other LA Fitnesses located nearby as well. Workers are quite friendly, and they never have pushed regarding having me sign up with a personal trainer or renewing my membership (which is really nice). The overall layout is pretty similar to the newer LA Fitnesses, although the machines seem to be a bit older. The upper level of the gym holds all the cardio machines in a big "U" formation that overlooks the weights in the middle of the first floor. Theres a basketball court, racquetball courts, a group exercise room, and even a pool. Cons: -no individual televisions on the cardio machines -smaller lockers -bathroom/locker room a bit old -weight machines are outdated Pros: -lots of good amenities like racquetball court, basketball court -the cardio machines have individual fans -steam rooms in the locker room Hopefully they can remodel and update some of their older equipment, but for the times Ive gone - the gym has been pretty empty and I was able to get in, do my workout, and leave.

Some of staff are friendly, some very bad. They are doing cheating things , behaviors look like the thieves , they are stealing money from your account without telling you. So caution: dont sign personal training contract with this gym (La fitness located at Yorba Linda). Otherwise your bank account will not be safe. For example, they cancelled my 37sessions which I have paid already, even I dont known at all, and they keep charging my money from my account.....robber! Mauricio is a bad inside ,nice outside dwarf. be care of him, dont do a contract with him, the staff there try to bait you signing a contract and then charge you no reason , if you wanna cancell the contract, Mauricio gonna try to cheat you , scare you to stop! He is a sales man there, but his act is a douche bag , it seems he is the owner there. Old equipments , dirty everywhere! The front desk clerk disrespects members, acts like she runs this gym. Now they have charge me more than $2,000, I just finished 14 sessions, and Mauricio says I only have five sessions left, if I stop my contract , they gonna charge more! It is a scam ! If they agree to stop the contract , they still non stop charging money from your a bank account. Very very be careful, the only safe way to protect your bank account is to cancell your account from your bank, otherwise, once they start charging you, will be hard to get refund.

Before I recently moved to California, I was a member at Planet Fitness. I switched to LA Fitness because theres one on the way home from work - if I dont go right after work, I wont go! Id rather still be a member at PF because they have all sorts of services for $20/mo (open 24/7, new machines, tanning, hydro-therapy bed, massage chairs, etc.). This LA Fitness has pretty old equipment and the lockers in the womens locker room need to be replaced pretty badly - which is weird, because my boyfriend and I paid an arm and a leg when we signed our contracts (initiation fees, first and last months membership, etc. etc. - for the two of us it was hundreds of dollars). I was very excited about having access to a pool, too, but there are ALWAYS kids having swimming lessons. Apparently you cant swim laps during lessons - which is always, literally. Every single time I try to swim there are kids having lessons or a water aerobics class (after work, early morning, weekends...any possible time someone with a job could go). In spite of being due for some serious upgrades, though, convenience factor always wins with me. Ive never had to wait for a machine (treadmills or weight lifting). The staff is also very nice - I go every day and Ive never had a bad experience.

Overall, I have had a good experience here so far. I wish the gym was open a little longer on the weekend but that isnt so bad. There is a lot of equipment and plenty of free weights and racks. The gym has a steam room, sauna, pool, hot tub, racquetball, and tons of cardio equipment (no track though). Management wasnt too pushy, they tried to get my friend and I into a personal training routine but since I used to lift before, I told the guy I would be directing the lifting. The trainer gave us a free set and said to let him know if we plateau or need anything. The only gripe I have with the place is that there seems to be no towel service. I sweat like crazy when I work out so I need to wipe equipment when Im done so the next person doesnt get soaked. Its not that bad though, I just bring a bottle of cleaner and a hand towel with me to the gym. Problem solved.

This place does not even deserve one star. First off the managment is horrible. If you come here dont expect to be acknowleged or respected, they dont care. I was with this gym for about 3 years when my dad got knee problems and we decided to cancel. At that time we were able to get a great deal for 25 a month each. I recently wanted to rejoin and got a guest pass. The manager of fitness sales Arian decided to tell me that the price I wanted was like me wanting an expensive car for the price of a honda, and told me that he has been in managment for a long time and I will never get that price at any gym. HELLO BUDDY YOU LOOKED AT MY PAST MEMBERSHIP AT YOUR GYM AND I HAD THAT PRICE. These people need a news flash. And quick.

Its a nice place with a great staff. I want to give Mauricio a special mention because he made this gym stand out from the other locations Ive been to. After signing up he offered the usual free session. I told him that I was not interested. But he was not about adding a client or making money. He was genuinely interested in helping me reach my fitness goals. During our "free session", he offered a wealth of new information, exercises, and workouts to help me even though he didnt have to. Our session did not benefit him at all yet he was enthusiastic, engaging, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Mauricio for anyone looking for a personal trainer. This man will change your life.

This used to be such a great gym. Ive been a member for almost 10 years and have watched it slowly decay. In the entire time Ive been there they have hardly updated the equipment, a lot of it is either partial broken or broken with a needs service sign on it which takes forever to get fixed. The staff there is nice and friendly for the most part. But the gym has not been properly maintained or kept up to date. Also they have slowly cut back on the hours they are open. Its sad how early they close on weekends. For how much a membership is at LA fitness it sure doesnt compete much with what 24 has to offer or any gym.
