*********WARNING******* ASK FOR YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY FOR ANYTHING*********************** Jim one of the owners of this company has great mechanics working for him. Its too bad he has no ethics or morals. I had trusted him with my vehicles previously until 10/21/2015. My car was having a problem that seemed to be either the alternator or my battery. Trusting Ascent to check my alternator by testing it I left my car there for an hour at 3:15 pm. Jim called me back to let me know my alternator was fine although my battery was definitely running low on power. Jim asked me how I would like to proceed. Obviously I needed a new battery. He informed me he had batteries for sale and I asked him how much one of his batteries would cost and he responded he would have to call me back?.... First red flag. After waiting awhile for him to call me back I decided to go down to his shop and ask him face to face. By this time it was 5:10 pm. I was waiting in the shop for the "notes" on what the mechanics found wrong with my car. He started the conversation with " First of all the testing on my car was FREE" Wow i thought really why would he do that?..... Then he wanted to talk about the safety of my vehicle and was starting to continue on about my ball bearings?!.... 2nd red flag ...I then just stopped him and asked how much my bill was he replied $252.00? I asked him again for the 3rd time how much is the battery he said $160.00 which is ridiculously expensive for a battery that you may not need for more than 2 years. I asked him to take his battery out and re-install mine which upset him to the point where he said he was going to keep my car over night because its 5:15 pm & they close at 5:30 pm and he didnt want to have one if his guys "yank" it out cause they all wanted to get home! The next day I came into his shop after work to pick up my car. I asked for my bill without the battery included. They wanted to charge me 96.00 for an alternator test that Jim specified was free the day before and he tried to charge me for radiator coolant that I never requested. After going back and forth with Jim he said no charge just dont come back. Jim ......Honestly .....you know I was never coming back after you fumbled all over your words trying to explain what you were charging me for. I hope you can be more straight forward with any customers you encounter in the future. Thanks I guess for not charging me but....you know it was the right thing to do.

Took my Jeep in for a Gremlin that just couldnt figure out. Showed real commitment in figuring it out. Called me in multiple times to try new things until finally found the bug and squashed that sucker. Charged me for the work done not the time to figure it out and when I needed something small that didnt require parts they hooked me up. You can trust these guys.
