Long story here, and overall a terrible experience with this Midas. The short version is that a bad mistake was made in my large repair job, and I received terrible customer service for most of the experience. I had my car towed to this Midas (because it overheated and various things were damaged) on Wednesday, March 11. The big fix was replacing the head gasket and having the head sent to a machine shop. I also had them do some other work while they were in there. Its now April 30 and the saga is still not quite resolved. I was given an estimate on Thursday, and told that it might be ready on Saturday, but more likely on Monday. My car was ready the following Wednesday afternoon. The car started rough and didnt drive right, but I had to get to an appointment right away and so I drove it off. This was after they gave it a test drive and told me it was running great. After being out of town for almost a week, I took the car up to Breckenridge for a weekend. It made it there, but then wouldnt start the next day. I called Midas to see if they had any suggestions, and they essentially said bring it in or we cant help you. Explaining that I was 100 miles away made no difference. This was about a week after I had paid over $2500 to have work done, and they did not seem to care at all that my car wouldnt start. I had it towed to a local shop and diagnostic work done, and that diagnostic work suggested a problem with the engine, which could have been a mistake with my repair job. My car ended up starting and making it back to Denver the next day but still ran very rough. I called Midas and shared the results of my diagnostic test with them. They again gave no help and did not acknowledge the possibility that anything went wrong with the repair. I took it to another shop to get a second opinion; in hindsight, I should have taken it straight to Midas, but at this point I had no faith in their work. The second opinion and more diagnostic work pointed more strongly to a mistake with the repair. I took my car into Midas shortly thereafter, and even after bringing in the diagnostic work, was told that it was essentially impossible that a mistake was made. They took a look at it and started fixing it. Possibly the strangest part of this whole story is that they started fixing the mistake they had made at no cost to me without apologizing or telling me that they were doing that. Thats what I wanted them to do anyway, but it was another example of horrible communication and a complete lack of acknowledgment of their mistake. Eventually they told me that the mistake was made at the machine shop they sent the car to. I guess that makes it maybe less their fault? After asking to talk to the owner, I got a call a few days later from Shari (sp?), one of the owners. She was much nicer and actually apologized for the mistake. They did fix the car eventually, though it took about 3-4 days longer than estimated the second time also. One day before it was to be done, they offered to reimburse me for a rental car. This was very minimally helpful. About two weeks after the car was fixed, they are finally sending me a check for most of the costs I paid to have my car towed and looked at after their mistake. The store manager at the other Castle Rock store set this up for me, and she was a lot more helpful than anyone else I talked to. This place gets one star for botching my repair job and taking an absurdly long time to fix the issue and set things right.

Oh boy, did I feel the Midas touch today! I found a coupon that offered a standard oil change for 24.99. After giving them all my information, (with the coupon and my cellphone number, for them to call when they had finished) I left to garb breakfast at a nearby McDonalds. I returned a Hour and fifteen minutes later, even though I was told it would only take a hour. I found my car finished and sitting out, which surprised me because I thought I would get a call. I walk inside to learn that they filled my car with a more expensive synthetic oil, which I never authorized and which cost $15 dollars more. I went to Midas because I had a 24 dollar coupon but I left with a 50.99 dollar bill. My mother, after seeing the bill, called and asked to speak to Steve the manager, who, after only a few questions from my mom, hung up on her. I have never felt more violated and taken advantage of for being a new customer. My mother and I felt the Midas touch today, it was the touch of poor customer service and the violation of being taken advantage of! Thanks for the inappropriate Touch Midas!

I gave ZERO stars. This shop is a complete con artist. They had to fix my transmission because it had been leaking so long it was running on no fluid. But they change my oil every 3 months so how did you not notice the leaking tranny? Then they replaced it... and get this, still a leak! So then I have the transmission slipping again! I bring my car in 3 times every time with a new issue besides the transmission. And finally they say, you need another transmission. I tell them I feel the work is misrepresented, negligent and they need to fix it for free or refund me everything Ive paid (over 4K) and they say we will fix it for 50% off? What an insult. Poor management, poor company, poor ethics and Ive escalated to the BBB. I hope you all do too, they have an A+ there!!! WHAT A JOKE.

I went in for an oil change because they listed an online coupon for $25. I even called in before to make sure it would be honored. My bill ended up being $43 for "additional labor and oil." I know my vehicle does not take over 5 quarts of oil, and I have never been up-charged for additional labor. When I got home I also noticed drops of grease all over my hood which I had to clean off. I have used online oil change coupons several times with other companies and my bill has always been what the coupon stated. Midas used false advertising to obtain my business, adding additional charges once I was in a vulnerable position. The experience left me feeling swindled and I will never give my business to Midas again.

Went here to have our van fixed while on vacation. They said we needed an alignment and tire rotation. On the drive back home, the steering wheel was always tilted to the right. When I called the store, the manager told me the alignment was done "right" because it was all computerized but that the steering wheel wasnt set right. We took it to another Midas store in Kansas to have it fixed and had to wait wait 2 hours. They said it was "really messed up." Doesnt sound like just setting the steering wheel to me! Not only did they do the work wrong, then they lied about it. Dont go here, keep moving.
