My experience here was disappointing. I brought my car for an oil change. I did not expect the price or the estimated hour and a half wait time with an appointment. They didnt seem busy as most bays were open so I asked if he could hurry the oil change at all, and he said he could skip the inspection and it would be faster. He also gave me a small discount. Sounds good, right? Not really. First they tried to tell me my tires werent good. They have 70% tread. Then they changed my oil. I stood outside the bay and watched and never saw a new filter, so I think he put my same filter back on. Then they gave my keys back and I would have been on my way, but I didnt notice them top any fluids so I popped my hood in their lot and sure enough, my coolant level was below low, washer fluid half full. I went in and raised the issue. Apparently skipping the inspection meant they skipped this crucial step too. The man I assume is the manager did agree to top up my fluids, but when he came out to the lot he had the wrong kind of coolant in his hand. He did go get one closer to what my car should have, but seriously Google People of Denver, if you go here please watch them like a hawk. Had I just smiled and signed on the line I would have had a seemingly good experience but my car would mysteriously run out of coolant a little ways down the road because one over priced oil change cut all the wrong corners.

I have been here several times for different services and each time has been a rip-off and a long wait. For an example: yesterday I made an appointment for 7AM so I could come in, get a quick oil change and be on my way. I arrived at 7, gave them my keys and waited. They didnt even get my car into the garage until 8AM (an HOUR after my appointment) and it took them 45 minutes for a simple oil change. The oil change alone was $45. The other times I have been here they have charged me much more than any other place and taken their sweet, damn time with the work I scheduled. They seem to have no consideration for their customers time. I intentionally made an appointment so I wouldnt have to wait then it took them 2 hours for a job that could have been done in 20 minutes. Another instance where I made an appointment was for an alignment. They didnt get my car into the garage until 45 minutes after my appointed time. Then took another hour only to tell me they couldnt do it because of a part. This place is overpriced for the services and it DOES NOT provide adequate customer service. I believe they should be more considerate of others time instead of taking however long they please. If i didnt make an appointment and was just a walk i would be more understanding. But because i had appointments this is completely unacceptable.

I went to this location because it was close to my work. I needed an oil change and a tire patch. After evaluating my car they called me back purposing work, specifically the cabin air filter. I thanked them for the offer but declined. he asked "Do you even know what that does?" Not to mention after getting my tire patched because I was going on a road trip to Dallas I ended up having to get it re-patched in the middle of Kansas. Today I called thinking that maybe they were just having a bad during my previous experience or that it was a fluke incident. I asked if they had availability for an oil change, immediately the gentleman got extremely short saying that it first come first serve , completely understandable of how their process works! However, that doesnt tell me if they have availability today, the last thing I would want to is waste EITHER of our time. Its extremely rare that I post reviews online because I understand that there is always circumstances that are unforeseen. Coming from the service industry I understand how frustrating these types of repetitive questions can be when there is not a clear answer, however it didnt change the fact that I still needed that answer to the question. It was extremely discouraging to have been treated that way more than once by their staff.

So I had a car with with an exhaust issue where the pipe completely rusted through and ended up breaking off. I took the car to Midas (on 6th) in hopes that they could cut out the rusted section of pipe where the exhaust broke, clean it up, and weld in a new section of pipe. Turns out, this break was on the same section of exhaust as the Cat-Converter. However there was at least 6-8 inches of pipe from the cat (still attached) that was still in tack. John from Midas said since it was "too rusted to weld in a new piece" you are going to have to replace that Cat-Converter section. Parts Cost = $449.96, Labor = $61.20. . . $511.16 Next day I take it to Lakewood Muffler and Break. They were able to weld in a new section of pipe without replacing the Cat-Converter. Out the door 3 hours after I dropped the car off for $85.00. All John form Midas seemed to want to do was sell me a new part rather than try to offer some mechanic insight on any other options I may of had rather than spending over 5 hundred dollars for a new part. I will never go to Midas AGAIN. Funny thing is, they were one block from my house and that is why I gave it a shot. . .

I want to warn men and especially women about going to Midas on 6th avenue and more specifically the salesman Kevin. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and they originally told me I needed synthetic oil (which is false). They then proceeded to call me and tell me that I have a screw in my tire and the whole tire has to be replaced and that was going to cost me $300. I refused and they then proceeded to say "you dont want to be stranded on the side of the road". I still refused. I have sensors on my car that let me know when my air pressure is low and these had not alerted me to low tire pressure. Furthermore, after returning to pick up my car and upon inspection the screw appeared planted because it was clean and could be removed without even needing new to be patched. Additionally, Kevin told me that I still owed money even after having already paid for my oil change. He gave a false excuse as to why my previous payment didnt cover it and after he was confronted with the TRUTH he got flustered and said hed let it slide this time. I will never take my car back here and please dont be fooled by these thieves!

This Midas is great!! A couple weeks ago I came into midas for new shocks because out of every shop I called they seemed to be the most fairly priced and they were also very polite on the phone. When I arrived everything went very quick and easy, I dropped by car off and it was finished a few hours later. When I picked my car up he told me that they had two models of shocks available for my car so they put in the better of the two since that was the one they had in stock. but since I was quoted a price on the phone they stuck to it and I got the better shocks for the price of the cheaper ones! I have now drove all the way to Minnesota and back on these shocks and nothing else has came up since Ive gotten this repair. I recently moved into Denver and Im glad I already found the shop I will go to as long as I live here. I would definitely suggest going here if you are looking for a shop you can trust!
