----STAY AWAY---- These are some of the laziest people I have met in a long time. I called Friday night 1/11/13 and spoke with Chris in regards of getting some brake pads done for my Subaru. Chris quoted me around $100.00 for the pads to be switched out. He told me to bring it in on Saturday and they will take care of me. I showed up Saturday morning at 7:40 a.m (in order to be early and cause the shop less convenience) and right away Chris was in a pissy mood right off the back, probably because they had to do actual work early on a Saturday. After pulling in my car they said my brakes were fine and that they did NOT need to be changed. I then drove to Firestone and they said I 100% need new pads. I was hoping Chris would provide some sort of details regarding my brake issues. (Firestone will print you a invoice of "recommended work:" or will even take you into the shop and show you, with a price quote etc.) I did not receive this but rather was told to have a good day. Since Chris told me my brakes were fine I asked if I could then get an oil change.. He then informed me that all his oil pumps are broken...?? WHAT?? Why do you have a huge sign hanging from your building stating you have $15.99 oil changes. Chris then said that the high end oil the $70.00 oil works just fine.. HMM? Odd? I then asked Chris since all the oil pumps are broken if he could give me some sort of discount on the high end oil.. so I could still get an oil change. HE stated "Oil is expensive" and would not budge on the price, I asked if he could give me the "preferred oil price $29.99 for the inconvinence of the broken oil pumps (which I dont even believe).. I have worked several customer service jobs and we would help people out all the time especially if its caused by something we did as a business. It almost makes me think they were to lazy to change my oil and were only willing to help me if I bought the expensive oil. I wanted to spend my money at there shop... but Chris would not let me .. these people are lazy and I couldnt believe the terrible customer service. I will never go here ever again.. Lazy Lazy Lazy People... I will be going back to Firestone or Goodyear.

I took my car in about 2 months ago for a simple oil change. When i talked to Chris the store manager he recommended i get the high mileage change. Since it had over 150,000 miles. I said ok. He has my car back in the shop for less then 10 minutes and calls me back there. Chris said i needed 2 new back axles and that i needed all this flushing done from the enegine. Knowing i had just got some done i told him to just flush the power steering fluide. He trys to keep talking me in to gettting the axles done right then and there. Like i had 920 bucks in my wallet!!! I told him several times that i would have to wait on that. Then he saw the car seat i had in the back for my daughter, and said it would be safer for my daughter. Which to me crossed the line!! Told him yet again not at this time. When he called my name i went to go pay and my bill was $160.00!!!! I looked at him and asked him why it was so much, his answer was " we did what you and i talked about" i paid my bill and left. When i got home i looked over my bill and there was stuff added that we never talked about. And i was charged $90.00 just for labor. I called the customer service main office to talk to someone. Explained my self to him and he was to get back to me. A few day later Chris calls me to talk to me about my complaint. Which started off fine. Then quickly went down hill. After he called me liar, and then just flat out lied to me time after time. He had the nerve to offer me a coupon for a free oil change. I laughed and said no. I called the customer service rep. left a message. Explained what happened. Almost 2 months later. I havent heard back from either of them. The worst car place i have ever been. I do not recommended this place to anyone. They will scam you and then flat out lie to you to save themselfs. Have a new place i go to. And will never go anywhere else. Southwest automotive is the best.Bob and his people treat you with respect!!!! Something that meineke does not. Save your money and time and do not go here

I originally went in for a oil change and tire rotation. Then I asked them to look up in their computer for what factory maintenance needed to be done at 80k as all other maintenance had been done up do date since the car was driven off the lot brand new. So the first guy all dressed nice and fast talking to an elderly lady about a CV Joint that needs to be replaced, and that its okay to drive, however the entire boot is blown out and the grease is coming out because of this. So I sit there, and he goes back in his office and forgets about me. So I get back up and ask a second guy what the factory maintenance is for this car at this mileage. Then he looks it up and comes back with a $850 dollar quote. Included new water pump, new timing belt, new hydraulic something, and labor. However we had gotten the car from my wife’s parents, and knew all had been done to date, so I questioned the guy, and he said the two books say two different mileage numbers for that car, one at 80k, one says 60 k. I look up in the owners Manuel, it says CHECK them at 50k and 90k and replace if needed. Come to find out the belt and pump were replaced at 60k as a precaution by her father. Lol. What a joke, this is the 3rd time they have tried some blow you away with numbers and facts. Use them for oil changes, and grease monkeys, because that is what they are capable of. (and selling you stuff you don’t need)

A few weeks ago I took my vehicle in check engine light was on, I know Jeff so I took it to this shop due to trusting him. They ran a diagnostic, quoted me 1200.00 I knew that I needed the timing done so I did have that done at 670.00. After picking up my car the check engine light went on and the timing seemed to not be set right. I returned the car, total new faces except for Jeff who really did not speak except for a hi....The guy in the front office looks at the car tells me that 3 coils need to be replaced (which was never stated in the diagnostic review) quoted me 250.00 a piece ( autozone quoted me 75.00 a piece) and he also stated that I needed to replace the ignition sensor (only can be purchased at the dealership) quoted me 900 and something.....said nothing about the timing which is why I took the car back there.....found a different mechanic who states that the timing was not set appropriately...coils at 75.00 each and only one needs to be replaced #5 and the oxgen sensor needs to be replaced total quote 200.00 minus the 60.00 I paid for the diagnostic. This store is a rip off. Take your business else where....my daughter has also had negative experiences at this store they told her that her 2000 Lincoln is junk, her car just needed some minor things and is now running excellant!
