I really don’t like writing negative reviews but this week the final straw forced me to, which I will get to later. The experience I had with Divine Roofing was quite bad to say the least. The salesman didn’t do things he promised he would and in fact lied to me numerous times. The morning of the install no one from the actual company showed up except for the non-English speaking independent contracting crew that I tried to communicate the specs of the agreement to. Yes it called for flashing that they had no intention of installing. Too bad, we no speak English. I called and called trying to get someone from Divine to show up and the salesman told me numerous times he was on his way, but he really wasn’t. They used a leaf blower when done to clean off debris from the roof. Well the crew refilled their leaf blower on the roof and spilled gasoline on the newly installed shingles. The crew never said a word about it. Oh yeah, no English. Lucky I went on the roof and found it myself. When the actual company employees showed up, after the roof was pretty much done, they made them install flashing, but really couldn’t do it properly after the fact. They agreed to replace the gasoline damaged shingles. I also found that they punched a hole through my gutter while tearing off the old roof. To Divine’s credit they did replace that section of gutter and replaced the gas soaked shingles. The clean-up was subpar and I spent the next day cleaning my yard and decks of debris. Now for what prompted this last straw event. I have noticed that there have been quite a few nails showing up at the outlet drains from the down spouts. The drain pipes are buried. The last heavy rains we’ve had the gutters have been overflowing. I cleaned them as they do get leaves and sticks etc. from the trees, but it didn’t help. What I found happening is that there were more plastic cap nails down in the curve of the downspout that created a dam and therefore the water couldn’t drain out fast enough. Hopefully this company has learned from some of the big mistakes it has made with my project but even after 6 months now I’m still dealing with it. Most of these things the owner Michael, has accepted responsibility for and was quite apologetic. Maybe others will have a better experience.

EDIT- Mike, the owner, took swift action in taking care of the screen and deck. Both of which he already paid the subcontractor for, so hes eating the cost for this. He knew about the misconduct of the roofing crew who did my roof and fired them immediately. He has stopped subbing out work and is focusing on just roofing so my situation wont occur again. I have nothing but respect for the owner. He didnt have to, nor should he have had to take care of issues caused by another contractor. But he did. And for that, Im truly grateful and Im confident he takes care of his clients. Im leaving up my initial 1star review so the above edit makes sense. If youre thinking of hiring this company based on their stellar reviews, beware. Thats what I did and I regret it. My whole experience has been a fiasco from the beginning. My initial meeting was great-they said they would take care of everything-basically being a general contractor to sub out my gutters, deck staining, and windows. My assignment got passed around to different employees who never returned phone calls. I dont call more than once in a week because I know people get busy, so its not like I was pestering every day. The roofers didnt speak much English, took 12 hours to finish the job because they took a 2 1/2 hour lunch and then a 1 1/2 hour siesta in my yard. I was home for the whole thing. My husband walked out and found one of them pissing in our side yard! The contractors who did my deck were supposed to sand and stain it-they had no idea-they thought they were just staining it. So they sanded the rough spots and restained it. 6 months later, my deck is peeling. My windows were installed in December. One arrived without a screen. I have yet to get a screen because that contractor wont return mine or Divines calls. The only person that was returning my calls was Lillian. I called her 5 weeks ago about the screen and deck and she was to return my call. Crickets. I called her 3 weeks ago and she was to return my call. Crickets. I dont know how this company gets such good reviews, because my experience has been a complete and total nightmare!

Before I bought my last home, my inspector recommended I have a professional roofer come out and inspect the roof as he thought there were a few areas where water access may be an issue. Divine Roofing was contacted to do a roof-specific inspection, and concluded that there were no issues with the current roof. Within 15 days of purchasing the place, I noticed the drywall ceiling was already beginning to sag, due to water damage coming in from a preexisting hole in the roof along the flashing near the chimney. I called Diving Roofing to inform them that they had failed to properly assess the state of the roof and notice the leak. After several days and multiple phone calls, they finally sent someone out and this time confirmed that it was indeed leaking along some of the flashing and had been for some time, evidenced by rotting wood at the leak site. Because I would have not bought a home with an active leak in the roof, I expected Divine Roofing at the very least to apologize and work with me to figure out how to fix the issue. Ideally, they would have offered some sort of discount or priority on services to fix the leak that they failed to identify. I received neither an apology nor an offer for any sort of remediation. Instead, Divine Roofing insisted that they only inspected the roof itself, and since the flashing wasnt technically part of the roof (even though it was in the MIDDLE OF THE ROOF), they were standing by their previous assessment that they did a fair and proper inspection. The bottom line is this: If you want a roofer who only stands behind the shingles themselves, but will quibble about their responsibility to identify or fix any other portion of a leaky roof, then maybe Divine Roofing is for you. If you expect a responsible roofer who cares about providing reliable and quality service, you definitely want to look elsewhere.

Upon moving into our home in Falcon, Colorado, I noticed the living room had been redone with wood flooring. The problem was they had covered all the heat ducts! I called several duct cleaning companies that quoted me unreasonable prices to clean my ducts. They would just by pass the fact I had no ducts in the living room. I needed them located. We were getting no heat through some of the ducts in the back of the house. I could feel warmth under the wood flooring. Again we called a reputable furnace company to come and check. They would not even do the job but gave us instructions on how to find the ducts. Nate Lemieux from Divine Roofing and Restoration told us he knew he could find those ducts, not only that but a professional clean out, not just a simple vacuum that other companies do. Nate spent a day finding 4 heat ducts that had been covered with wood flooring. Taking a specialized camera he began searching why heat was blocked from other rooms. This cameras was AMAZING! Debris, wood, trash, insulation, foam, dirt, dust, bugs . It was incredible what this camera found and the amazing work Nate Lemieux did to clean out theses ducts. I want to thank Mike and Tony, owners of Divine for allowing this work to be done at such incredible rates and for the professionalism they provide in their employees. This incredible job not only fixed a heating problem but these men, Mike, Tony and Nate saved my home from a possible fire that no other company would have possibly found or been as successful! Wonderful, professional and excellent team!!! No other company would have done this job as professional and with expertise as Divine Roofing and Restoration. Words can not express the thanks and appreciation I have for Tony, Mike and Nate; you guys are outstanding!
