I saw all the great reviews and decided to use Auto Know How to help buy a used truck and get it fixed up after. Honest, reasonable prices, and, if you hang around and ask questions, you can get a good education on a number of auto subjects from Paul. With regards to the one star complainer, if the "estimate" cost $75, it means they worked on your car for about an hour. The pre-sale look-over of my truck cost $80 and took at least an hour. If they can tell the car is junk without looking too hard, they tell you not to buy and dont charge for the exam. Maybe they should have warned you about the labor involved in the "estimate", but Im sure they did not say it was a free estimate beforehand. If you cop an ignorant attitude and expect someone to do an hours work for free, expect people to get grumpy. As far as the "attack dog", they adopt old shepherds from shelters, and this one happens to have a behavior problem. It probably should be euthanised, but they are taking care of it anyway because they love dogs. It barks at everyone. It is annoying, but if you think they were deliberately intimidating you with the dog, I think you need to seek out a second opinion from a psychiatrist.

My neighbor recommended them and they are a throw back to the 1970s but still know alot about cars. They explained everything in detail and the cost before proceeding. Their attack dog is a 12 year old German Sheppard who has bad hips. I like dogs and gave their dog treats. Some people go in thinking they will be ripped off and I think that is the "bad" review. I really liked this shop and have told others about it. They fixed my 1995 Ford Bronco. They spent half a day checking my vehicle and if I decided to go somewhere else I dont think $75 charge for half days work is out of line. They are honest, good mechanics, and really nice to me.

Brought my vehicle here as they were highly recommended; however, I have had nothing but problems with my car since bringing it to them. The receptionist was very unprofessional in the way she spoke and rude. Customer service could be improved. I am very understanding and open minded yet I highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere or getting a second opinion. Do not be fooled.

They have been our mechanics for years, and we really like them. More than that, we trust them. Paul is an excellent mechanic, and Laura keeps the front office running smoothly. Theyre nice people, and their work is always first-rate and reasonably priced. Cant say enough good things about them, and just recommend that you try them and see for yourself.

After dealing with Midas for a series of mistakes, I took it here and got a straightforward answer and amazing results. I will be back time and time again and will suggest anyone I know to go there. Paul is very nice and knowledgeable and they really do work quickly.

Ive brought my car to Auto Know-How for decades, and wouldnt trust anyone else to get near my vehicle! They are incredibly nice people, fast, accommodating and fairly priced. If they ever retire, Ill have to sell my car and take the bus.
