I was referred to West Car Star by State Farm Auto Insurance after having some body damage to my car the back driver side door and quarter panel. After being called over a week later than they said that the work would be done, I was super excited to finally have my car back. I thought I would arrive and that things would be perfect, but not only did my car look different on each side, the body work was completed inaccurately, rubber was disconnected on the inside of the door and not properly assembled. After commenting on this, I was then was shocked that the companys pink marker than they use to mark up the outside of the vehicle was all over my cream colored seat belt. The customer service rep did say that they would fix everything, and agreed that the job was sloppy and that it would be fixed and ready to go the next day. The next day I showed up and I felt a strange vibe and realized that they were trying to distract me by pointing out other things about my car (like dings from the seat belt that were created by the seat belt getting caught in the door...pointing at things that had NOTHING to do with the repair and basically just a distraction for me not to look at my seat). The reason that they tried to distract me was so that I wouldnt look down at my seat to notice that there was a shiny oil spot on my cream colored leather seat, obviously from whatever they had used to clean the seat belt OR from a person with oil on them sitting on my seat. After trying to scrub it in front of me for 20 minutes and it still wouldnt budge, they tried to tell me that I would have to come back later to have it fixed when they could get someone in to fix it. I declined and said they needed to let me stay in the rental car until the stain was removed. They tried to force me to take my car, even though the job wasnt finished. I called State Farm, who spoke with West Car Star and I left in the rental which would be paid for by West Car Star, as it should. I didnt like or appreciate that I had to fight to keep the rental until the job was COMPLETE. A COMPLETE job means that my car is returned to me in the condition it was prior to trusting them with my car (with body work completed, of course). I went to pick up my car when it was finished and the stain was removed, only to find that they once again are forgetful of the smallest things, such as putting on the air cap to my tire. I had to request that they put an air cap on and then as we bent to put on the air cap, I realized that they missed a few spots of paint on the inside trim on my wheel barrel. The guy pretended that he didnt see what I saw, but anyone else that has looked it since I left sees what I see. In the end, I guess it is worth it to have a spot of color different than the rest of the car, just not to have to deal with explaining to them how to do their job correctly.

They have worked on 2 cars for me in the past couple of years. I had to return one for some rework, but it was understandable that they didnt notice it during their final check the first time. They kept me well informed by text, email and phone (it was my option to select all 3 forms of communication). Although it wasnt ready the day they originally estimated, they called me several days ahead of the delivery day, as soon as they knew there would be a delay, to tell me and explain why. So I had plenty of notice and felt it was reasonable. And they treated that delay with genuine concern for my inconvenience, so I felt they really cared. And got the car only a day later than originally promised. If youve had experience with even one other body shop, you know this is great customer care compared to most other shops.

Just picked up my car from Carstar West - I couldnt have been happier with the service. Service was fast, and the car looks good. John in the front office handled my car, and he communicated with me promptly and often and was very communicative. Ashley with Carstar also called and kept me informed. My insurance did not cover the damage which was the other drivers fault, so we had to go through the drivers insurance company which was unresponsive and put up a a lot of road blocks before they paid for the repairs. Carstar arranged to pay directly my car rental during the repair period which saved me the hassle of working with the ins company. John worked hard to make this all happen which saved me a lot of time. Thanks, John and Carstar! Highly recommended.

Okay so your insurance company probably sent you to car-star , which was a great deal for them in their eyes. They overcharge for things that are not broken , they under bid the work at first and then double the amount at the end. These are not business people but scam artists. Dale is the name of the estimator at west autobody on colfax. He is an arrogant , lying idiot that does whatever he feels and tries to justify it thinking the consumer will not know better. In this economy there are so many people looking for true honest employment , it is sad there is a prick like this able to keep his job. I will never ever go back to west autobody and hope no one else will either.

People were nice but quality of work was questionable. When I went to go pick up there car I found a problem before I even left the lot. Then I found another issue when I got home. They went out of their way to come and get the car and fix the issue that they created. And assured me it was fixed. Like I said, really nice people, and I believed that the issue was fixed...and it was but in fixing the one issue they created another. I am so frustrated that I refuse to even call to have them fix the gash that they left behind the fuel door. If you choose to go here be willing to except mediocre work.

I was quite pleased with my auto body repair experience at CARSTAR on 8450 East Colfax in September 2016. Kristina, from their office, saw the 2 separate damages to my Nissan Xterra and immediately gave me 2 estimates so I could easily analyze my costs. John, also in the office, got my car in at 8am and then had it finished by 11am on the same day!! I guess they ordered my parts in advance and had them waiting for me. My charges were exactly what the estimate stated. I couldn’t be happier and will eagerly return if I need any additional work

This place is ridiculous! They wasted my time so much. I had to drop off my car twice in that place because the first time they didnt finish it. If you take your car to this place dont expect a call from them when is ready! Even if you call them to let them know you will pick up your car at the end of the day, they still close, and make you come get It the next day. Thanks to their miscommunication I was late for work many times. They seriously have some poor customer service quality! Dont believe me? Find out yourself.
