I live out of state and decided to use trelora to sell my house in Aurora (at the recommendation of a friend who happened to have had a good experience). To start with, their pricing models are appealing and i thought how bas can this be?.. so i gave them the go ahead to list my house in June. During this phase, i realized that since they work as a team to get this on the market; you end up speaking with differently people on every call. None of them has any idea about the call places by the other person. So you end up repeating the same information over and over again to different members of the team (this should have been a red flag). finally after about a month it was on the market (a little bit of the delay was due the fact that i had tenants in the house). After being on the market for a about 1 month (i was told by other agents and trelora itself that the average time on the market these days in about 7-10 days for the price point my house was at) , their recommendation was to reduce the price (i had gone wit the recommended price and commissions to begin with and had not argues about any of that). So i was like sure lets try that. Another month went by where some of the agents were mentioning that the house wasnt in the greatest shape (i was thinking that tenants live there, so i am sure its not in 100% prime condition). So finally i asked trelora what to do. They were like i think we should drop the price. SO i told them to give me a list of things that needs to be fixed and i will see about getting it taken care of. this is when i was caught off guard. They had no clue on what needed to be fixed. NONE of them from this whole team had actually seen the house. How do they recommend a price and agree to see a house that no one has seen!!?? (after pointing that out some did finally go see the house after its been on the market for over 2 months) After all this, i decided i didnt want to sell the house with them. I got a call from them saying that i am gonna get calls from a lot of agents since the listing is getting cancelled. I have no idea how that works since all the communication from my side has only been with trelora, there was no reason my cell phone number to be out there. for about 3 weeks after the listing was pulled, i had people calling my cell directly! (i think this is some game by real estate agents where they somehow pass on contact information on clients they loose so that others can get cold call them!). Some of them has knowledge about the specifics i had spoken to trelora about. (like the fact that i didnt want to close after a specific date!). All i can say is, it was a good waster of time and $$ and i would not use them again.

I have never used Trelora before. This was my first time, and it was a bit of a complicated sale (I am 50% co-owner with my ex-husband of few good rental properties in the south-east side of Denver), but after I explained the Trelora agent (Christopher Stjernholm) the situation and showed him the paperwork, he seemed to get the hang of it all. Well, I found out later that he unethically disregarded my interest as a seller (again, I am the one PAYING 50% of the commission to a realtor for SELLING my home, right?). Not only he used me and my current handy husband to get all of the work done so we could pass inspection and please the buyer, but he went as far as lying to me about me not needing to attend the closing, that everything was already on file with the title company. Trelora originally sent me an addendum to the contract to add me as a seller, but then emailed me saying that such form was not actually needed. My husband and I were the only ones keeping the communication with Trelora open, because if it wasn’t for us, the Trelora agent (Christopher) wouldn’t call us back to check on the progress of the work that was needed to meet the deadline (even though he reassured us in the beginning that he would keep us updated and “in the loop” at all times). To make matters worse, instead of apologizing and fixing the problems, he came up with ridiculous nonsensical excuses. The day of the closing came quickly, and everybody was very happy and pleased with the long hours my husband and I put in to get the property ready for sale and the buyer happy. Come to find out, the closing company that Trelora uses all the time (Homestead Title) was instructed to remove me from the closing paperwork. This is fraud, plain and simple. If it wasn’t for my own attorney, which filed an emergency motion with the District Court to freeze all assets and proceedings from the sale of the house, I would have been screwed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, thanks to Trelora. The funny thing is this: nobody from Trelora even reached out to apologize or explain why they acted this way. It has been few months now and emails sent to Trelora, Karen, the listing department, all went unanswered. So now I am just dealing with DORA Department of Real Estate to address all of the unethical issues that took place in this transaction (and believe me, I have plenty of evidence and email communication to document all of the fraud). For all of those out there thinking of using this company: beware of what you get yourself into. And if you go to their main office, you’ll find a big poster with their company motto that states: “Do it with passion or not at all.” How ironic, isn’t it??

Had a fantastic experience selling my home with TRELORA! For starters, when you call them, a real person picks up after a couple of rings...no more hoops of going through endless menus. They were able to work with my circumstances and get my home listed quickly, and it showed up on all of the major home search sites like Redfin, Zillow, Realtor, etc.! Their photographer comes out to take photos and place the "for sale" sign (so make sure you have your home ready and presentable). One of the reasons I believe that Trelora is thriving in the Denver area is because its a major sellers market - lets be honest...nowadays buyers know how to browse for homes online, and homes essentially sell themselves, but you do need someone to work with you to make the paperwork happen behind the scenes - Trelora does just that. Why would you want to give away 6% of your homes value on closing day? If you have $300k in mutual funds, how would you feel if you lost 6% in one day?...that kind of hit would be on the news for months, so why do you just accept it? The smart home sellers dont! Trelora provides the most competitive flat selling fee of $2500. You pay $500 to get started (home listed, professional pictures taken), and then the other $2000 is deducted at closing. You also have 1 year to use them if you decide to take your house off the market for awhile or if an initial deal falls through. You are also able to set the buyers agent commission. They typically want 2.8%-3% depending on the area, but thats what theyre asking for...you dont have to accept it! I told Trelora to advertise a $4550 flat buyers agent commission (which would be about 1.5%). We received five offers in 48 hours, and four of the five did counter and ask for the full commission, but everyone also overbid on the price. Because we needed to sell quickly, we did end up accepting to pay the full 2.8% on the buyers side. But if you have a great home that will sell and dont need to be under contract in a few days, I would recommend setting a lower rate and see how many accept it, or still even counter under the traditional full commission. You will STILL have many showings! Agents are still required to show their client the home. I specifically worked with the Hanson team at Trelora and they were top-notch.. These are smart people who know your situation and always keep you updated. You can call anytime and can also communicate via text and Email. We had a great experience with them with no hiccups to report! Would highly recommend and we will use them again if the time ever comes again!
