I know salon receptionists arent always the most polite of the bunch (usually theyre angsty high school girls with a bratty attitude), but I have never dealt with anyone as outright rude and nasty as the receptionist at Vida. I had an appointment with [the apparently oh-so high and mighty] Emily for a highlight and cut. I called the salon 10 minutes ahead of my appointment time to say I might be 2-5 minutes late due to some light traffic on my route reported on the radio, and the receptionist acted like she didnt believe my possible tardiness wasnt my own fault, then said Emily wont take me. I was calling ahead of my appointment time! Even if I did end up being 5 minutes late, are those 5 minutes really going to make a difference when Im coming for a 3-something hour service (cut and full highlight on long hair)? Its one thing if youre 5 minutes late for a 15-minute mens haircut. This was just asinine. I should note, too, for anybody who didnt notice: "mcc.incs" glowing review down below sounds oddly like something a salon owner would write in a brochure about their salon. Just sayin

Ok, I normally have buzzed hair because I cant ever find a person who can do a decent job. Then Emily cut my hair and I was impressed, then like the user below she left, so I thought I would still go and scheduled an appointment with Bradley. He did a great job and I liked the hair cut. I went to pay the bill and it was $45!!!!!!! What!!!!! I thought that the $30 I was paying before with Emily was on the high end after tip I had spent more then $54 bucks on a hair cut.....a guys normal cut no, color, or, special anything. Although the cut was good I was really bummed I dont think I can justify spending that kind of money on a hair cut p.s. I asked if he could cut my 5 year old sons hair $35 seriously if he is going to charge me $45 you think he would at least cut me a deal, with that kind of money he should move to LA......Needless to say totally bummed. Sorry Vida..Sorry Bradley back to the buzz cut.

I have been going to Vida since 2005. Heather has been my stylist for the last 5 years and she is WONDERFUL. She listens to what I want in a cut and I have never been disappointed. I trust her completely when it comes to my hair. Shes helpful in recommending products if she feels it is warranted but she never tries to oversell anything. I will never go anywhere else in Denver. I admit that there is a lot of turnover in this salon so I cant vouch for the other stylists, but ask for Heather and you wont go wrong. Even when I moved out of the Highlands area 2 years ago, I never considered finding another salon or stylist.

Let me begin by saying that I hate getting haircuts, and for that reason Ive always alternated between buzzed and medium length hair. I have really thick, frizzy, curly hair, and its fun at times but mostly a pain. Heather has cut my hair twice, and I absolutely LOVE the job she did today!! This was the second time I visited Heather @ Vida, and it was truly the best haircut Ive ever received. The salon service as a whole is good, but Heather in particular is awesome - no pretense, just awesome service and results.

I have been so pleased with the service I have received each and every time at Vida. From the receptionist answering the phone to the stylists cutting my hair, the service has been above par. The stylists really listen to what I want, and give great advice; always giving me haircuts that are well suited to my hair type and lifestyle. I continue to recommend Vida to friends and associates. An added bonus is the Aveda products. It is now a 30 minute drive for me; but well worth it.

I have worked with 2 girls here that I really enjoyed coming to see. They were friendly and did a great job. Unfortunately, the change-over here is very fast. The minute you establish a good relationship with someone youre comfortable with, they leave. As a previous review mentioned, the receptionists (when calling) havent been very helpful either. I think Im done with this place. Sorry Vida.

Carrie Bellus cut my hair and did an amazing job!! I love how they take the time to not only give a great haircut and style but also an awesome scalp massage. I was going to event and they even had someone that could do my makeup as well. Beautiful Salon and I am always excited when I travel to Denver to go there. I live out of state and its always first on my agenda when I arrive.

The cut was decent but Emily is a poor excuse for a professional. Youd be better off going to another salon. There was one good thing that came from my experience though, I was able to find a fabulous stylist at another salon.

I have been going to Jen for several years now. She is excellent with color and I always love my cut! I get so many compliments on my hair and I absolutely love the atmosphere at Vida. Definitely check it out!

Nothing special for the over-charged basic hair cut. The Palor treats you better, more professional staff, and same price if not bettter. Vida is a joke! I cant believe Aveda stands behind this place.

I was not that impressed with this salon, either. Very young stylists. No feeling of being "special." Wasnt that blown away with hair cut.
