OMG RUN!!!!! BBB COMPLAINT: They ruined several items totaling $3000+ and sent a check for $200! They claim that I picked the lower insurance, but I was never offered a type of insurance, only a price. I assumed they were fully insured. I am giving them this opportunity to pay the $3000 before I file a complaint with the insurance division of Colorado. They are required by law to offer all types of insurance and allow me to pick one. Until I got a check for nothing for the damages they admittedly caused I had no idea that I had options. Desired Resolution: Other (requires explanation) Desired Outcome Check for $3000 - no less This company is the worst - destroyed a table and a new washer and dryer. Moved SLOOOOOOOWWWWLY - did not send the right number of people as promised - were late to show up there employees complained and wined the whole time. HORRIBLE. Comments from the owner and replies "This discount is in excess of the of the actual time it took the crew leader to rearrange items in the storage to attempt to make them fit. The actual may have been 15-30 minutes. In addition, we will not be charging you for the storage unit used as well as moving them in and out. This is an additional 2 hours of labor being provided free of charge as well as the cost of the storage unit (this is not being provided as a discount as you have not been charged for this)." Your crew leader screwed up the storage - by his own admission! 15 to 30 minutes is a complete under estimate. The only reason storage was screwed up was because your "crew chief" completely screwed up the storage unit which I rented as a larger unit than he requested. The add verbiage here is unprofessional and unnecessary and confrontational. I worked hard as a customer to be accommodating and non confrontational and this email has me feeling unappreciated and realizing I deserve more compensation. Your crew was completely unprofessional and constantly complaining about their job. They damaged items and initially did not want to take responsibility they were lackluster in their willingness to do there job. The manner in which they packed our storage unit will require many more hours to clear it based on how they had to pack and repack it in the end.

We used the Galt team on our last move and were really impresed with their team and flat rate that we decided to go with them again for our move on 5/22/10. We scheduled a morning move. Unfortunately the guys were having truck troubles as the truck ran out of gas and got air in the diesel gas lines (which is not a good thing for diesels). They ended being a few hours late, but owner Mike, kept us informed about what was going on and re-assured us that our move would happen regardless if they used their truck or a rental. Mike arrived with his truck, moving team and mechanic in tow. The moving team worked diligently and got all our stuff packed neatly and securely while the on-site mechanic fixed the truck. Because of the truck and timing issues Mike guaranteed us a considerable flat rate for all the unfortunate trouble his team was experiencing. My fiance and I were very happy that our move was going to occur on the day as promised and that Mike worked with us considering all the issues he was dealing with and were very glad that he did not just drop us. Our move to our new place went smoothly and the hard working moving team got all our stuff situated with minimal damage. When we move again (hopefully not too soon) we will go with Galt and will recommend them to any of our friends or family who have to move. Thanks again Mike for working with us on such a crazy day!!!

We have used Galt Moving and Storage on several occasions and have always been pleased with their service and professionalism. Mike, Heidi, and all of the movers go out of their way to make your move as painless as possible. More recently, we recommended Galt to our daughter and son-in-law and their move went perfectly. Another friend of ours is planning to use Galt when she moves in October. Galt works on a hourly basis but in so doing, works quickly to get you loaded and on to your new location. They prep the house to minimize any possible damage while moving and pack your goods carefully and with forethought. I strongly recommned Galt Moving and Storage for any move (large or small) that you might have.

Had final pick up from storage to new home. Went ok. minimal damage to furniture. a few bumps and scratches but not bad at all. major concern was lack of communication between customer support and the crew that delivers. called three times to confirm they had cell phone and not old house #. never communicated to crew. Day of pick up crew did not know that we were going into storage . Although I had several conversations with customer support. No boxes provided for mirrors and TV . another miscommunication. washer and dryer was not on list either. Crew went to fast with questions on where boxes went in new home. my mother who is 78 was completely overwhelmed and boxes ended up in wrong areas.

Absolutely AMAZING service! These guys were hard working, polite and everything else I could have wanted. Marcus, Rick and Javier moved my mother-in-law to a third story apartment in three hours and I would hire them again without a doubt. Javier even brushed the snow off of her car. I would feel comfortable with any of these men in my home even without being present. They were clean and very professional. They wrapped and padded all furniture and breakables. Nothing was damaged and they were quick and efficient! You cant beat their prices either! Absolutely NO extra charges, they are the real deal! Dont hesitate they are the best you can get!

Really bad experience, before the mover went over the paperwork, he wanted to make sure that I knew tips were appreciated, but of course not necessary. I was reminded again later on in the day. This set the tone for the day, including a hole in the wall and broken items. We had just bought a new set of glasses in the original packing which was dropped and broken. We were told the box wasnt taped, so not covered. Broken TV stand, scratched couch sectional, and we have only begun to unpack. Save yourself a headache and pass on these guys. This is the first review I have ever done, didnt want someone else to experience these guys!

Several items damaged in a short move. We witnessed them drop our dining room table in the truck, when confronted said they would complete a damage form, which they tried to say the "corner was chipped" on the table...ummm you DROPPED THE WHOLE TABLE! Far more than a chip. Tears in fabric, scratches on wood furniture and boxes flipped around. The crew was less than professional and very sketchy. Mike is quite the salesperson....hes got the BS down to a "T". When contact was attempted 8 times after the move and no return call....it is quite clear what kind of business they have here. Beware people! !!

I have used Galt Moving a couple of times now, and am about to use them again! I have found them to be accommodating when planning the move and easy to work with from thereon in. Above all their movers are a delight to work with and have around on the day of a move. Not only do they work hard, carefully and efficiently, but I have never heard a word of complaint or moaning about what they are doing, or how heavy and awkward something is - which I have experienced with other movers. In fact they have generally made moving day quite entertaining! I totally recommend Galt Moving.
