Just Be Yourself
Relocating Does Not Change Business - former Q1 2016 location Jackson Street Denver. They did this to wipe out negative reviews on google. This service was used in 2016 as part of a long distance United Van Lines move between CO ad AZ. United Mayflower(UM) contracts to local moving companies. UM is a series of complex shell corporations that only have an administrative staff and all physical storage, and transportation services are contracted out. The contractors do not have a good work ethic or commitment to quality. UM only wants to make a buck and have no liability for all "real" POD container services because they are contracted out. Do not be fooled into believing it a big company that has its reputation to maintain and cares about its customers. I found that out the hard way. First container delivered by Denver, CO location dirty, broken, and leaked water (it rained night before move), replaced Second container delivered by Denver, CO location dirty and leaked water (unknown at time as it did not rain that day), items stored inside damaged. They obviously do not test this or care. Paid for 8 months (May-Dec) of container storage at United Mayflower (UM) facility in Mesa, Arizona From a surprise visit in December 2016 to Mesa it was obvious that the container had been handled roughly and some items were damaged. The container was outside, not inside a climate controlled environment as promised. It was apparent from the accumulation of dirt and debris around the bottom and inside container it had been outside a long time. Therefore, I paid 8 months for climate controlled secure, indoors storage, but did not receive that at all! Photographs taken. Upon inspecting part of my items inside pod, it was apparent several items suffered damage from water, sun and climate exposure. Professional POD mover packed items extremely well, but somehow UM managed to undo four heavy duty (1000+lbs) tie down straps and break things. I pad locked the container as it was outside and unsecured. When questioning the UM storage facility operator he stated it was only outside temporarily. He also admitted the container was leaking water inside and caused damage to several items. When asked how it could have gotten wet inside, he stated it was condensation from A/C units inside storage. Really? The pickup to final destination was delayed over a week causing multiple rescheduling of related services and deliveries. Headache!!! On the actual pickup and transfer day to United Moving, no one called me. I learned later my locks were cut off by the UM operator. We had agreed to exchange unlock information to correctly remove the locks. No one followed up before just deciding to cut off my locks. I do not believe any of these assertions and certainly do not appreciate being lied to and the subsequent damage. Upon further inspection there was $thousands of damage to items and some missing items. Still waiting 3 months later for claims processing which is another scam. $50K FVR $0 ded coverage, but they only want to pay $1,500. They attempt to shuffle you among multiple people, departments, and processes to wear you down finally to a sleazy corporate lawyer spouting legal BS. Never, never use this service. With such dishonesty, carelessness, and intentional cheating, I cannot recommend this service. I will have to go to court to get UM to refund the storage fees paid for 8 months in addition to the damage compensation. See United Moving Corporate Fenton, MO reviews also.

DO NOT use this company! They are awful in a hundred different ways. It started when I first moved out to Denver and half of my belongings were placed in storage. I received a call saying I should be there when the truck was unloaded to "check on my items." When I arrived (having driven an hour), the truck had already been unloaded and my belongings were in wooden shipping crates. I was told by warehouse staff that the crates could not be opened and I could not see my belongings. On my move back to Massachusetts, I was assigned the most unhelpful, rude, brusque, obnoxious shipping "coordinator" that probably exists on this planet -- Rhonda. She never spent more than 30 second with me on the phone and was forever saying things like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, bye." She never seemed to care a single bit about me or my move. I finally had to call the main number and ask for a manager. I told the manager that under no circumstances would I be dealing with Rhonda again. This lasted about a week. Some issue came up and the manager required me to speak with Rhonda again. It should be noted that in the time that I wasnt working with Rhonda, the manager told me that Rhonda had messed up my shipping order. I had belongings both in storage and at my house. Rhonda had neglected to combine the two into one order. The result was a delay in my shipment that stretched out to two weeks -- two weeks in a house with no belongings. When I confronted the manager about the quality of her company, she stated that they were "too busy" and that the owner "cant say no to orders" and the employees are "swamped." It shows. When my belongings arrived in Massachusetts, the first thing the driver said to me was, "I didnt want to accept this shipment from the Buehler warehouse. Theres a lot of damage." Buehler managed to damage five Colonial antique pieces, destroy a treadmill, ruin a television, and break an antique floor lamp. This damage was all done while the items were in storage at the Buehler warehouse, as the driver showed me the damage report document signed by the warehouse foreman. And to top it all off, Buehler continues to bill me for storage costs two months after my belongings were removed from their warehouse. This shows one of two things -- either (a) they have no idea what is in their warehouse, or (b) they are over-billing customers. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I wish I could give them zero stars.

Ive had a lot of bad movers, so my expectations for a move from Colorado to Arizona werent exactly high. However, Buehler/Mayflower turned out to be fantastic movers. We had a contract to have them pack a lot of our kitchen, artwork, and glassware, and their packing job was fast and thorough - everything was carefully and thickly wrapped. Great packing team who showed up on time and were very helpful and friendly. Same with the loaders; they showed up exactly on time and moved like lightning to get a very large household full of a LOT of stuff on the truck in only a few hours. Also friendly people who kept the lines of communication open at all times. And last but not least, the unloaders were equally awesome. Very organized, efficient, and careful with all our stuff and seemed genuinely concerned that we were happy with how things were set up. They were also another cheerful team who knew what they were doing and how to knock out a rough job quickly. There were a couple of minor things broken after opening up all the boxes, but not a big deal and I certainly expected worse. I hope to never have to move again, but if I do, Ill be calling Buehler/Mayflower, as their work was nearly flawless. Moving is a very stressful and exhausting experience, but they made it a lot easier. Thanks.
