STAY AWAY FROM ABRA!!!!!! Took our car in for hail damage. When we dropped off our car they told us a week at most and that it would be done. ok not bad. They called us just an hour after dropping it off to say once again that there was more damage noticed then in the estimate and that is was going to be $1,000.00 more. But they assured me that the insurance company had already been contacted and they were going to cover it. Well ok, so we gave them the ok. They called us just 3 days after we dropped it off and said that it would actually be done the next day. Wow fast. Well they called us and the next day and said that they had to order new sheet metal because they couldnt get some of the dents out of the roof. So it would take over the weekend to get that in and get it back to us by Tuesday the next week. They once again lead us on with the time frame for 3 weeks. When I went ot pick up they told me it would be ready by 3:30. I sat in their waiting room for an hour and a half waiting for them to finish up my car. They detailed it and the inside was so moist and smelly. When I finally left I didnt even make it back home before they called and said that they forgot to put moldings back on the roof and that I needed to bring it back in after the weekend. When I got home and started to look around I noticed that they broke off the plastic part on my mirror that had to wires harnessed up under the mirror, and that they had ripped off my rear window defroster wires. So when I took it back in I told them about those 2 things. They fixed the plastic part on my mirror but said they couldnt fix the defroster wires in the back. Wow so they broke them and cant fix them. I took my car throw a car wash for the first time since the work 2 months later and when I got it home noticed the paint job they did on the hood was fading and washing off. So I called them up and took it back in. They tried to blame the car wash and whatever soap they were using. Said it was not their fault not to dare sit there and blame them for this and walked away from me. My husband called and spoke with a manager and she was beyond rude. I had never had someone in a customer service job speak to a customer the way she was speaking to us. She kept interrupting saying that we said the work was fine when we picked it up 2 months prior and that its not their fault. She even had the nerve to say that they never painted to hood so it was not their fault. Needless to say they refuse even under their warranty to fix the fading paint that they did. I read their own warranty and it guarantees this kind of fix but they wont grant their own warranty or work. To say they trashed my car and dont want to fix it is an under statement, I will never go back ever.

I had previously written a five star review but after some time I have decided to take it down. Apart from the mechanic, every person that I spoke to at Abra was cool and courteous. Charlie was especially great! The biggest problem for this place is miscommunication. There is miscommunication between the staff and there is miscommunication between Abra and their mechanic partnerships. Abra does very little work on site. Most is outsourced. Because of this fact, they never truly know the status of your car. I was given several different timelines and I was told that it would "most likely" be done on several different days. By never giving you a firm deadline they cover their ass. Finally, I decided to just show up because they told me my car would be done by the day before. When I arrived my car wasnt even there. Apparently it was getting the alignment done but I had been told that it was getting the alignment done two days prior. I patiently and quietly sat in the office for about an hour and a half while they scurried around to finish all the things that had supposedly been completed already. I was told that they had an extra mudflap and that they would gladly put that on the wheel that was missing one. This did not happen. They also "forgot" to replace the tire that was badly damaged in the accident. The mechanic was a jerk when I mentioned it and did his best to make me feel stupid. The tire blew as I was driving the car home from Abra. Finally, I noticed that the new headlight they put in is not sealed correctly. Condensation is getting inside of the lens and the headlight itself is loose. These guys talk a real good game and they almost back it up but at the end of the day they fail.

Think twice about bringing your vehicle to Abra in general. I was hit by an uninsured motorist back in Sept and got a initial quote from Abra. The person who hit me was kind enough to pay Abra in advance so they had cash money for 45 days prior to my appointment. The estimators name is George Roberts but he goes by Charlie. He was very rude from the start. Very poor customer service skills and he acted entitled like they had too much business and it reflected with his disposition. He mentioned he was ordering genuine Toyota parts. I asked him to show me proof of the parts he ordered. He gave me a hard time with that like he was put out. He guaranteed parts being ordered in advance of my appointment. I had to have the parts ordered in advance because this was damage caused by an uninsured motorist and there was no coverage for a rental car. When I called in advance to the work done a member of Abras staff mentioned they dont order until the vehicle is in their possession. Finally, a couple of days in advance of my truck going in for the work a member of their staff called to cancel the appointment due to Abra taking in tow work. My vehicle was not a priority to them. Basically Michael told me to pound sand and all they could offer me was my money back. Buyer beware hear folks. This is a bait and switch operation. They know you need work done because your car is a priority to you so as a result so in return for the stress you are under if a vehicle that needs work your left high and dry. Avoid at all costs!!!!

I cant begin to go into how bad the last two months have been. So many things have gone wrong. At every turn there has been a road block, obstacles that were impossible to work through and absolutely no help from any one involved. That is until our car was towed to Abra Auto Body in WheatRidge. If you are unfortunate enough to be in need of a body shop...Look no farther and call Abra! If you would like good old fashioned customer service call Abra and ask for Chris! Chris went above and beyond to make our experience as positive as a wrecked car can be. He hunted for answers, he hunted for people that might be able to help us and kept us informed every inch of the way. He excepted our numerous calls every time and never showed any irritation with us. He MADE things happen when everyone else took no action! I certainly hope I am not in need of a body shop any time soon....but if I am...ill call Chris at Abra every time!!! Thank you Chris, for your outstanding customer service! Victoria Anderson
