Just for the purpose of public record because after 4 times over a 60 day period --- once in person to a supervisor and 3 times over the phone ---I think leaving a digital trail is in order. Especially when the problem of a carrier(s) neglecting and/or refusing to pick up your mail goes unabated. Were not talking normal size envelopes here; rather bubble insulated or hard board enclosures usually 6X8 or more in size. I must also say that up until 3 months ago when our mailman of nearly a decade never skipped a beat, not once, did this lack of attention to " just doing the job " become the new normal. __________________________________________________________________ 8/7/17----Since my last review, the carrier performance ( or anti-performance might be a more accurate definition ) has simply gotten worse. A new screw-up, another phone call, more obfuscation, more stuttering, stumbling over pre-rehearsed lines, and more unaccountability. The USPS was never like this before. It makes one want to believe in the right wing mantra of the privatization of government services. And thats saying a lot.

Firstly, getting my passport done was like pulling teeth. There was a line of us waiting outside the door to do our passports, and they were on "lunch break" for over an hour and SAW all of us over there. Then, we tried using the telephone to call the people on the other side of the locked door, we got frustrated and started knocking on the door after waiting so long. The other workers had the indecency to ask us why we werent using the phone........ NEWSFLASH NO ONE WAS PICKING UP. And- when they "delivered a package to my house and missed us" ....there was NO notice. and I keep trying to contact them and No answer. What a waste of anyones time.

Very unhelpful and unprofessional. Attemtped to speak with a supervisor both in person and over the phone about issues with our carrier, and not only did it fall on deaf ears, but Ive been hung up on several times. The mail carriers are very lazy to deliver a package too large for the mailbox to the door, and when there was work being done in my parking lot, they refused to get out of their truck and put it in the box themselves. Ive dealt with Post Offices in many other areas of CT, and by far Bristol is the worst. They arent even willing to work out an issue.

Can I give no stars? The place is horrid. Everyone there treats you like youre a burden to them. They do not do anything to help you and they truly are the worst post office. I go to the Terryville one and I love it, small place and the people are so nice there. They should just close Bristol down, waste of our tax dollars. There is one guy in particular that I deal with there, he is a real a**hole. Does not pay any attention to you and does not care, short older gentleman that wears glasses and looks like a little troll. Do not go there.

Like another reviewer I stayed home from work because a signiture was required. Never left my house. Come 4:30 I called to ask where my priority package was and they said "still out for delivery" So like a dummy I wait. Then I get an email saying an attempt was made, notice left." Of course there was no notice left, they never came to my house!! The only thing I can say is I hope there is one of those crazies that go berserk there and starts killing as many of them as they can. I mean have some freaking integrety for gods sake.

I was tracking my package and it was supposed to come today in the mail. I called and they told me it was on route by a mail carrier and when I got my mail the package didnt come. Then I call again and they tell me another carrier might have it and to wait til the end of the day. By the end of the day no mail carriers had my package and now I have to wait til monday to see if they have it. Terrible service, all they could say was sorry.

Please, please deliver our mail! I understand that snow sucks but do me a solid and step out of your truck to my mailbox. I cleared a path for you but I guess thats not enough - maybe I should be hand shoveling all the snow that the plow pushes in front of my mailbox so you can easily swing on through in your tiny white truck. Gahhhh so frustrating. Human to human request here!

When called felt rush and operator had the never to be sarcastic. Not the first time I came across someone rude over the phone . Only had one good experience with and even that I had to keep calling making sure I wasnt forgotten about. They always claim their tracking of delivery is accurate but its always off. I hate having to call them because I know Im going to get attitude !!

I have to now go to the post office to pick up a package that i got because it wouldnt fit in my mail box and they apparently cant put it under the mat like they do with packages way to big for the mat and i know that they only tried putting in the mail box because normally they put the notice on the door and not in the mail box because the mail box is at the end of my drive way.

I went there to drop out a small package. The man at the front desk treated me like I was wasting his time and was extremely rude to me. Slamming on package on the weight scale, slamming the ink stamp on the box, slamming the receipt on the counter. I will go the the Plainville location from now on. I dont want to waste their time being a customer at this location anymore.

The two women I have dealt with at the front desk as well as on the phone are so rude. They have absolutely no customer service skills and do not know how to speak respectfully to a customer. My package has been lost and theres no explanation as to where it is. I dont know who the manager is at this branch, but they need to speak with their employees.

They are quite friendly there. I have been in at least 3 times a month for 4 months now. Even during the holidays, they all tried to get people in and out. I have worked retail for over 10 years. They are great in my book. They cant do much about the mail carriers. That is managements job. They still try to solve the problem the best they can.

lord help this business it is so horrible really been waiting for my vape to come today it was supose to come today and it says on my tracking no authorized recipient availble like seriously i was waiting never heard a door bell or knock you could just leave the item on my porch but its whatever never dealing with this bullshi* again
