Seemed nice. Called to set up an appointment for a timing belt change on my 1995 Honda Prelude with 58k miles. Car ran mint but I did it as a precation. Got a reasonable price, brought it in to have it done. Came to pick it up, immediately drove off and noticed it was running odd. Brought it right back, explained, and the guy drives and says "Im not saying youre lying, but that couldve already been like this." Plays around with the motor mounts to try and fix it, and after not much resolution says thats about all he can do, but reassures me the car is fine. Car runs funny and has a rough idle but cant do much about it since I just dumped $700 into it. A couple weeks later, car overheats, come to find out the coolant is now completey empty. I fill it up, and the next day the coolant is low and full of brown sludge. I call the place to have them say that there is absolutely no way it was anything they did, but I should bring it down and have them look at it. Yeah right. Let me bring it down to the place that caused my head gasket to blow. But the guy even said, verbatim, "Either your car was already having these issues, or it was just a coincidence that it had an issue after we worked on it. Not our fault." So now the beautiful Honda Prelude that ran like a top is on the verge of death all because of poor service from an inexperienced, uncaring, and shady rinky dink shop. Wouldnt even recommend this place to someone that I hated, no one deserves such a bad experience.

Over the years, Ive taken my automobile to Cappellas more than once, as they are the closest mechanic to my home. In recent times, however, I have have come away dissatisfied with their customer service and with the quality of the work that they do. My experience is that Cappellas customer service is now simply terrible. Beyond that, theyve improperly or incompletely installed after-market parts, failed to make completion deadlines and hardly ever return phone messages. From a single other experience with them, I would not recommend the purchase or installation of any "rebuilt" part from Cappella Auto Repair. After a few disappointing attempts to support this local business, I moved on to another ~ and much better ~ mechanic. Caveat emptor.

Im a student at a local university and Cappella took kindly to that realizing I didnt have the kind of money that was needed to fix my car. Not only did they finish my car in under 24 hours, but they also cut my price nearly in half. At first I thought this was too good to be true, but after researching online, it really was Cappella being so kind. Bill, Bob, and John, are three of the nicest guys youll meet and really make an effort to communicate to you about every move they make. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

If you havent read Joses review here, you should, because he tells you exactly how it is with this guy. I cant tell you the number of things he has ruined in the course of "fixing" my car. It makes me sick that I stayed with him for as long as I did, but he was referred to me by a friend. I should have stuck with my first impression of him and run like hell. Dont sabotage your car with these butchers. I had to give him one star in order for this to post, but that is way overrating him.

Excellent service. Extremely friendly and knowledgable. My uncle researched a car repair place in the greater new haven area for me to get my car fixed and found Capellas based on their good ratings. I went over and they immediately looked at it right away. I havent had service like this in quite some time. Capellas left a lasting impression and I plan to go back for all my car repairs in the future. Very friendly and highly recommended.

Bob and all the folks at Capellas are fantastic. After a number of bad experiences (with other local "brand name" and chain garages), I had all but given up on finding a good mechanic. Capellas has restored my faith! He will undoubtedly get your car fixed right and it will cost you much less than it will any where else. I HIGHLY recommend Capellas for all of your automotive needs!

I come to Capellas for all my repairs and the owners are very honest and extremely fair with their prices. Ive been coming to Capellas for years and completely disagree with the negative post below. Bob goes out of his way to make sure the job gets done in an efficient manner. I would recommend Capellas to all my friends & family because I trust him completely!

I was referred here by my roommate who had also had a great experience! I went to a couple other places and got quotes that you could tell they were just pulling out of their butts to see if I would go for it. The moment you start talking to Bob and Bill you just know theyre good guys. I was treated very fairly and they have definitely earned my trust.

Buyer Beware... Sabotage Experts!!! These are the type of auto repair men your Father told you about. Nice and sweet on the outside and devious in the inside. These guys are the ones that give mechanics a bad name. Dont be fooled by the other reviews, they are probaly just the owner himself to trick you into having your car repaired.

This is what youre looking for - an honest reliable responsible person to repair your car. He will go out of his way to do whatever it takes to get your car back on the road and explain in as much detail as you want what he has to do and how much it will cost. It doesnt get any better than this anywhere!
