From start to finish, Dean was professional, personable, articulate and clear. He explained the process very well. Bob was the driver and the day was a blustery, rainy, cold October day. He and his two assistants NEVER complained and maintained a positive, joyful, attitude throughout. They took great care with my things. They also were thoughtful and carefully explained what would happen next. When moving is so stressful, it is really reassuring to know that there are companies like Barnes who will skillfully take some of that stress away and lighten the load a bit! Knowing ahead of time what the cost would be was just one of the ways they accomplished this. I did not need to be anxious about some great weigh-in and unknown fee.

With service over the years becoming less and less, I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent and professional service I had using Barnes Moving and Storage. Dean came to the house and made an accurate assessment of what it would take to move me 1200 miles, with all my stuff. The packers were excellent, asking questions as they went along on what was important (high value items), and handled everything with extreme care-more than I handle it while in my own care! The moving and unloading crews were excellent on details. No damages and everything accounted for before they left the scene. I highly recommend this company without any reservations....I would use them again, anytime.

I am Leonas mom Carol & I was the one that moved. Thank you to Barnes Moving & Storage for a great experience. I packed most of my own things over a year ago. Brian & staff found plenty of used boxes that I was happy to reuse & I bought paper - much cleaner than the newspaper I had been using. Once my condo finally sold the staff were very flexible as I ended up needing to change the pick up date. The two who packed my pictures & lamps did a great job. The two who packed the truck, drove my things down here & unloaded it were very professional & worked hard & steady. Thank you again.

We were very satisfied with our experience. Drivers at both pick up and delivery were on time, courteous and friendly. Everything arrived intact and in good shape. The only glitch was that a chair and one box was missing from delivery, however one of the crew immediately set off to get them and were delivered shortly thereafter. I highly recommend them

Local move from Norwich to Preston, they showed as scheduled and did a great job wrapping our belongings and breaking down the heavy items in the basement and resembling. very professional and friendly I would gladly use them again.
