Awful shop. First off, the service is complete trash. They will take years to do even the simplest of things, & half of the staff lacks social etiquette. Even more appalling is there complete disregard for your well being and intelligence. If you bring your car in here, expect to be treated like a brainless bafoon. I brought in my 03 mazda protege to confirm my ideas as to what was wrong with the car & came out with a recommended repair bill of $3800, $1400 more than I bought the car for. Since then, I fixed everything on the car by my self for alot less than $1000. For example, they told me my catalytic converter was bad bc it was rattling-their cost-$512 for the cat + $127 in labor. The only thing wrong was my cat heat shield, which I fixed for $4.00, which eliminated the rattling. Do not waste your time or money at this robbery stand.

This place is really expensive, but its the one where Ive had my car repaired for years because it looked to me professional and legit. Not anymore. Two days ago I left my car there with a flat tire. They patched it. Next day the same tire is flat again. I bring the car back and they say they had to patch a second hole. Since I drove the car less than one mile, I asked if it was possible that the tire had two holes the first time I brought the car there. They became extremely defensive and rude, asking where this was going, like it was a normal thing that a second hole happened in the same tire overnight, and in the end suggesting I play the lottery. It was just $20 dollars each patch, but I may have left there $3,000 in repairs through the years and dont appreciate being treated as stupid just because I have an accent.

Reasonable when I went there for the first time a few months ago for an oil change and tire rotation. But, yesterday my oil filter fell off while I was driving, causing all the oil to spill out. Luckily, I noticed and was able to pull over and turn off my engine before the lack of oil caused major damage, but it could have been really bad. After getting a tow, the mechanic at another shop said that it was just due to Firestone not tightening the filter enough when they changed the oil.

I cant say enough good things about this location and the team. The manager of the store is always so kind and open to discussing my service recommendations, needs, and to answer all of my questions. I never feel that, as a woman, Im being taken advantage of or not understanding what is happening. In fact, this team has often gone above and beyond to help me with a flat tire or small noise or issue at a moments notice. I highly recommend this location and this team.

I choose to drive out of my way to take my car to New Haven Firestone because the service is so outstanding. I am greeted by friendly service managers who always explain repairs perfectly, ensuring I know my car is in the hands of the best technicians. Whether its a simple oil change or a major repair, they manage my expectations about wait time and pricing accordingly. I will continue to be a loyal customer for a very long time.

Guy with the grey hair was unbelievably rude to me when I asked for the status on my car which was taking an hour and a half over the estimated time. My tires were put on in the wrong direction, and then I was told they "cant do anything to fix it today". Took my receipt and car over to the Hamden location, they were very apologetic, and immediately got my car in to have the tires rotated. DO NOT VISIT FIRESTONE IN NEW HAVEN

Every time I go there for an oil change, they come back with hundreds and, usually, over $1,000 worth of repairs I "need." I always say no to the ones that are all but 100% necessary and then take it to a mechanic I trust, but who is 60 miles away and they invariably say that I dont need what Firestone said I did. So, I dont bother and then can drive my car just fine.

I was treated poorly by the staff I was told that my car cannot be emission because of the plate missing in my dashboard only to be told by other emission places that because it was in my door panel that it will be okay they were rude and disrespectful to me I will never recommend Firestone on Chapel Street in New Haven to anyone if I could give 0 Stars I would

This is the worst shop I have ever been to! They tried to get me to buy all four tires for my car when I had one flat. They told me the the threading is not good on all four and wont survive the winter when I had installed two new tires a month before from certified dealer. Clearly they wanted to get more money out of me.

Please for the love of god please go anywhere for your tire needs! This store is a scam and they will attempt to add as many fees and charges as they can get away with. They will attempt to upsell you on as many items as possible including soliciting sales by phone. Please go anywhere else and save your money!

Got a flat tire within a month of dropping my car here.. THREE TIMES! My boyfriend said when he had a car up here he also had multiple flats in one year (very strange) and also took his car to Firestone. Cant help but think there is some kind of connection..

Friendly and helpful staff. Im new to CT and only went in for a VIN# verification and was told it would take 20-30 minutes. An hour later it was finally finished and they comped the entire thing. Thats good customer service. Ill be back when I need new tires.

I havent had a bad experience yet & Ive been there 4-5x They were nice & knowledgeable - my car was done relatively fast but one time they forgot to call me. I personally know people who have had a negative experience there, but I have not first hand.

We ran into some car issues heading to Canada from PA and firestone in New Haven helped us out .They were super friendly to my husband. Theres a man who spoke spanish which helped us out.. very clean and honest people definitely recommend. ..
