I am extremely happy with the service Ive received from Wallingford SAF-T Auto since I started going there last fall. The short story is, these gentlemen are knowledgeable, honest, and quick. Ive been doing the work on my cars for a while now, mainly because I could never find a mechanic I could trust. My sister in law and her father recommended this shop from the several positive experiences theyve had. I could tell the first time I went that these guys could be trusted. There was nothing I could put my finger on, but it was just a gut feeling that they werent trying to screw me around, and there was a perceived concern for my cars needs and my safety. I went for a simple oil change and they gave me a list of issues with my car, with a straightforward red, yellow, and green color scheme to show the severity of the various issues. I could only afford the oil change, but they gave me quotes and options for all of my needs. On my most recent visit, I asked them if they could check some codes my car was throwing. They checked the codes, and with their experience they were able to quickly find and repair my issue. My car had been stalling and running poorly for about a year. I even had to learn to drive with two feet and I got really good at shifting to neutral and restarting the car with no power steering or power brakes, sometimes while turning, and at least once on 84. They fixed it in about five minutes. This is after I tried to fix it myself for a year and threw parts at the problem that didnt help. I know Im going on and on and could be accused of "gushing", but to be honest its such a huge relief to have the problem fixed, and to not have to worry about it, and it was a quick and reasonable repair. I can honestly say this is the first shop I feel like I can trust, and theyve probably added a few years to my life after this last repair. Go here for your car needs with confidence. I have had my vehicles serviced at SAF-T for many, many years and have been extremely pleased with their work. They always explain everything they are going to do and give me a complete breakdown of the pricing. I have never had any "surprises" (extra charges) when I pick up my vehicle. I can give you an example of how great SAF-T is. A few years ago, I had my vehicle repaired. I was given a quote and when I went to pick it up, the price was significantly cheaper than what I was originally quoted. I was surprised and quite happy to hear that they had researched my maintenance records and saw that a similar repair was previously done using a part that had a lifetime warranty. It wasnt SAF-Ts fault that the part needed replacing again - it was the manufacturers. I could not believe that they looked this up for me and didnt charge me for it. To be honest, I keep all repair receipts but never look at them. We have a few vehicles in my family so I forget what repairs or maintenance has been done on them. SAF-T is the only place that I completely trust to fix my vehicles. They are the BEST!!

I have work saft-t Auto Center many times our company is based out of Michigan we do lots of work in Connecticut they have done nothing less than perfect work for us on our trucks they have always consistently gone over what is expected at any repair shop I have ever been to. I was just recently in PA where I got work done at a firestone repair shop they rewired and put a new resistor in for my blower motor it did not fix the problem then I was in Buffalo New York heading to New Hampshire when I called Neil at sad-t Auto he said swing by hell get us in and he will get everything repaired. He had to fix all the old work that was by Firestone it is a Friday night and he stayed after along with his crew to have our truck done in to get it fixed properly I would not give these gentlemen that work here any less than A5 star they have been so professional so courteous. I would recommend this business to anyone that needs any type of repair.

During my recent visit, I had anxiety about a costly problem with my exhaust. Neil spoke with me about different options, based on the condition of my exhaust, and made me feel at ease with their service. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and takes his time to speak with customers not only about what might need to be done to the vehicle and why, but he also explains how certain maintenance can be done to prevent other problems from occurring. While the shop could have replaced a part on my car for a higher cost, they instead repaired the part already on the vehicle, saving me a lot of money and permanently fixing my exhaust problem. I was very happy with the service to say the least. I would love to tell all my friends and family to go to SAF-T Auto, but at the same time I want to keep it my secret. If you want a repair center that will not only take care of you car correctly, but they take care of your wallet. They are as honest as anyone could be without pressing you to replace something that doesnt need to be change. They always do a free courtesy check to make sure your car is safe and they let you know what needs to be addressed. It is your call if you want it done. There is no pressure or scare tactics; just an honest diagnosis of your car. I have to laugh at some of the reviewers who are shocked at what is found during a courtesy check. Those people obviously DONT have their car services on a regular basis. Ask yourself; what costs you more to repair; bad brakes or the dent on the front of your car and the one you hit because nobody told you that your brakes were in need of being replaced.

I have used Saf-T of Wallingford for seven years now and have to say that their work has been excellent and reliable. Their customer service is exceptional as well, they listen to the concerns of their clients and seek workable solutions. They are willing to go above and beyond to meet the needs of clients, be it giving them a ride down the street in order to have the car fixed while they are at work or when a vehicle dies and needs to be left on the lot for a few days because the junkyard couldnt tow it immediately. I would recommend them to everyone!

My experience with SAF-T was outstanding! My wife and I got stranded during a vacation in Wallingford with a car that was borrowed from a relative. Neil was EXTREMELY helpful over multiple phone calls, was thorough in his diagnosis, gave honest estimates, and provided sound advice. As someone who was a one-time customer and does not have any car knowledge, Neil was truly honest and did not attempt to up-sell. I live in Oregon, but if I ever find myself living anywhere near Wallingford, CT, I would undoubtedly use Neil and SAF-T Auto.
