Thursday 8/18/16 MY EXPERIENCE WITH PODS HAS BEEN AWFUL TO SAY THE LEAST, AND I HAVE WASTED HOURS OF MY TIME DEALING WITH THEM. When I called back in June to schedule delivery of two pods so we could move out of our house and into a new house, I was told that they had a 2-month promotion, meaning if I kept the PODS for two months, delivery would be free. All we needed was two months of storage, so I said sure! Well, fast forward to this past weekend. . . The first pod was delivered to our new house (the time was pushed back twice btw. we were sitting around waiting and waiting). We were supposed to have the second pod also delivered but because of low-hanging wires (I beg to differ!), the driver could not deliver the second pod. I didnt find this out until I called questioning why the first pod was all the way at the end of the driveway and where was the second pod going to go? I was mad that we werent getting both pods at the same time, but resigned myself to the fact that wed unload the first one, have it picked up, then have the second one delivered and unload that. Well, as soon as I scheduled a time to have the first pod picked up, I was hit with a $233 charge! I didnt even know it was coming until I got an email from my bank saying my account had less than $25 in it!! I called up PODS to see what this charge was for, and I was told that because I was turning the pod in early, I no longer qualified for the 3-MONTH PROMOTION! I told them that, when I originally called back in June, I was told the promotion was for TWO MONTHS. Of course I was told that there was nothing anyone in billing or customer service could do for me. They had to open in "Incident Report" which would be a 24-48 hour turnaround. (Who cares that I only have $24 to my name right??) When it hit 48 hours and I still hadnt heard anything, I called PODS customer service. I was told that someone named Kristopher McKnight was working on my case and would call me when he had information. Later that day, he called but I missed his call. He said to call him back on his line that went to his voicemail. So I did. He did not answer; I left him a voicemail. That was yesterday. I called him a few times this morning with no answer. He called back when I was in the doctors office with my kids (of course I couldnt pick up and get into it with him then), and I missed the call. I called him back (MANY times); no answer. I checked my email. He had sent an email and in it he said that if he is not able to get in touch with me by Aug. 20, the incident report would be closed and new one would have to be opened. I emailed him back saying that I was available either NOW or after 1:45 (I was going to register my kids at their new school; pods. . . moving. . . new home. . . right? Totally normal things people need to do!) He called 15 minutes after he received that email; I was unavailable (DUHHHH). I called him back over and over and over. I must have called about 30 times, not even kidding. I called the 800 number and got the run-around from 5 different customer service people. From what I could gather one of them worked in the building that he worked in, another worked in some other building god knows where and one guy said he was at home!!! Who are these people?? Where are these people?? Long story short, I still have not heard back from this guy. According to his email, he is not in the office on Friday or Saturday, so I dont know know if/when I will hear back from him!! I asked multiple customer service reps if I could speak to their supervisor with no success. Dealing with PODS has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and has WASTED COUNTLESS HOURS of my time!! I am beyond infuriated and fed up and WILL NEVER USE PODS AGAIN nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. My advice would be to try to find a moving and storage company that is more local. PODS is way too big and trying to get anywhere with anyone is an absolute joke.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had ordered a pod so we could get everything out of garage for a new roof to be put on. I went with pod because they can put the pod anywhere it can fit. Watched the u tube videos. Well to my surprise I found out when I got home that he put it on the front lawn. Now I have a driveway that goes along side my house to a 3 car garage in the back. Driveway gets way bigger in the back. I have at least 50 feet from garage to house and this guy tells my fiance that he cant put it there. I call to complain and said why couldnt he put it there. I pay 90$ for delivery. They tried to ask the guy but said they couldnt get a hold of him. I told the guy if I was home I would of took over the controls cause he was either incompetent and wasnt trained right or just didnt want to do his job. He said oh no our drivers are trained before they can take our Trucks out. I said again he either didnt want to do his job or didnt know how and that he needs more training. Now mind u the day after the delivery of the pod I had a 40 yrd. Dumpster put in the same place and thats just a dump the canister from the truck. So tell me how this big truck and big dumpster fit but not a 16 foot box. So I ask for my money back for the delivery cause he couldnt do his job. I was told well its up.to the drivers discretion on where he can put it. So PLEASE no if the driver doesnt want to do his job that day he wont and the company will back him. I will never use them again and have told others as well.

First of all, I have to say, I am an actual customer, not someone from PODS writing in. I was extremely pleasantly surprised! I can be tough. And easy at the same time. Just do what you say youre going to do and Im happy. PODS came through on ALL fronts. From the first phone call to the last pick-up, they did everything they said they would. Each and every person I dealt with was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. They explained how it worked and exactly what was going to happen. They left nothing out. The estimates they gave me were right on the mark. No hidden fees or taxes. No "extras". They were on time at every juncture. Actually, they give you a three hour window and showed up at the front end every time, so no waiting. Phenomenal! In addition, they dont charge you all at once for the entire move. They charge you separately for the POD drop-off and one months rental, then the pickup and drop-off at the new location, and then the final pickup. So you dont have to pay out everything at once. It made budgeting so much easier. They made a very stressful move remarkably easy! I was so thoroughly impressed with their service, I have recommended them to everyone! I will DEFINITELY use them EVERY time I need to move! PODS ROCKED IT!!!
