Linda Esposito Today at 4:16pm. We used Hall Lane, North America to move across country from NY to CA. Not only were the "guaranteed" delivery dates off by about a week, out of 300 + boxes..Id say about 25% of them came in damaged, crushed, pierced and shredded. Even my wardrobe boxes were crushed and haf my clothes were left with greasy black marks all over them. These were not some flimsy boxes...we bought top of the line boxes. Our furniture had water stains on it as well as chunks of fabric ripped off of it. Their so called resolution dept did everything they could to avoid paying the damages. Ive been fighting them since Sept. They overcharged us on the insurance and now that we have a claim, theyre trying to get away with just reimbursing us the diff. between the deductible rather than pay us. They claim they will reimburse you the "full replacement cost" yet they have not paid sales tax which is obviously a part of the replacement cost. I took pictures of all the damages, I set up a very easy to coordinate package and they are still trying to find Loop holes. The carelessness and damage done to our belongings are beyond belief. They lost one of our boxes and have given us a very difficult time in trying to get reimbursed. They never finished assembling what they had disassembled- we were left with having to put thing back together...they even brought their young kids here while we were trying to get everything unloaded...So Unprofessional... We did not choose this company because they were the cheapest (because they werent)...we chose them based on their honesty and integrity...we were totally duped!!$12k to move across country and we sustained about 5-8k$ in damages. After a major move like we had...the last thing we had was time to document and prove and fight and follow up on all the damages that they inflicted upon us. If youre on the fence about choosing this company...Id say steer clear unless youre a lawyer with a lot of time on your hands.

5 Star Moving Company:My wife and I had to coordinate moving her 90 year old parents from Long Island New York to Richmond Virginia. They lived in NY all their lives and that meant we had to make sure they were protected and their belongings had to be delivered in VA on a strict timeline. I met with 3 separate companies in NY and selected Hall Lane because of the professionalism of Alex, who laid out everything from start to finish and what the cost was and guaranteed his price. Everything he told us was exactly how everything happened, from the packing; pick up to the delivery was not only professional but flawless. I have moved across the country several times throughout my live and the move from Hall Lane was by far the best we ever experienced. I would highly recommend Hall Lane to anyone looking for a company that does what it says and delivers what they promise. Many thank to all the professionals at Hall Lane, Alex the salesman, the moving coordinator, the packers, the driver and the unloading crew. They underestimated my job by 70%, and never personally came to check out the required move in advance. They were well informed of all stops and volume of items to be moved yet banged my credit card for the overage anyway after repeated attempts to get the company (and its president) to be reasonable after the move- very unprofessional. Their claim to be a company that has "integrity and honesty" are empty and bogus. We are completely disappointed at how they s crewed us! seriously, seek out another company who will not lure you in and hammer you on overcharging once your stuff is already onboard the truck as the billable hours tick away. the crew really didnt drag things out, but rather the office staffs gross underestimating is to blame. We cannot recommend them. they had ample opportunity to make things right but did not. They can reply to this review however they wish, but the facts still remain. go elsewhere.

I recently used Hall Lane for a commercial move on Long Island. The entire staff was very courteous and efficient. The sales staff gave me a quick, accurate estimate and visited me several times prior to the move to make sure we had adequate packing supplies and to answer any questions. On the day of the move, the moving staff were very well organized and easily accommodated any last minute changes. They moved all of the furniture and equipment carefully and with out any damage. I have also used Hall Lane in the past for a residential move with the same fantastic results. The owners of the company obviously stress excellent customer service with their staff! I would highly recommend using Hall Lane for both commercial and residential moves.

Everyone I dealt with was great, including Susan, Alex, and of course, the great guys who showed up to do the move itself. We needed professionals for our move from Long Beach to Farmingdale, and 5 Star Moving fit the bill perfectly. Alex is not just incredibly handsome, he did a great job sizing the place up for the crew that came. Susan was great in coordinating everything (and very accommodating at a time when we werent entirely sure which weekend we were able to move into the new place), and the guys who came to do the move were outstanding, respectful of our stuff, efficient, and, thankfully for us, were tolerant of our imperfect packing-and-boxing skills! My mother just did a move with this company on Saturday and it went great! Susan who coordinated the move was excellent and friendly the entire time. Carlos and his crew were amazing to work with, professional and extremely respectful! They made the move so much easier and less stressful. The guys accomodated every need we possibly had and I would and will use them for every move in the future. We were so thankful to have such a great crew to deal with. I received several quotes for moving a medical imaging system from Long Island NY to North GA. Hall-Lane was the most reasonable priced. I was a little worried they may have under quoted to get the job, then hit me with surprise charges. Not the case. They stuck to the quoted price, no surprises. The four movers were hard working and intelligent. If I ever move something in that area again, I wont waste time getting multiple quotes, I will be using Hall-Lane!

Everyone was great! I have moved several times and this was by far the best moving experience ever. From Anthony, Rachel , Louis and everyone on the team , they were so helpful and accommodating. They changed dates, picked up and sent me things I forgot to have packed. Everything arrived happy and healthy. Five stars for Hall Lane!
