I signed up with LA Fitness for a couple different reasons, one of which is its hours of operations. All of a sudden, LA Fitness changed its hours of operation. As I write this review its Saturday, 6:16pm. I arrived at the gym about 30 minutes ago only to be told that they "will be closing at 6pm". When I signed up a couple years ago they closed at 8 on Saturdays. How is it possible that they can do that and get away with it? Who regulates these bastards? It seems when a new operations manager comes in that person can do as she pleases. Since this new Operations Manager started, she has changed a lot in this gym, all for the worse. And worse, she has no sense or courtesy or people-skills. A couple friends called cooperate office to complain and nothing! Quite frankly, I am not sure this Operations Manager cares because since she started at least three of my friends ended their membership because of her. I opted for the one-time payment and when my current membership expired at the end of February I will not renew. I cannot continue to subject myself to these kinds of practices. If you are thinking about joining, my advice to you, DONT. There are other up-and-coming facilities in the area (The Edge has compatible amenities, and Planet sure has better exercise equipment). Dont join LA Fitness!! They will lure you in and then treat you like crap.

Couple years ago I was getting dressed after my shower and l look around and see the male front desk clerk staring at me! I ask what he is doing and he said the last hour they are open he has to walk through the locker rooms every 15 minutes to remind people to hurry up. I said I never heard of that before and he said if I didnt like it be sure to be out before the last hour! The locker room was not empty at all and there was this other woman there with her teenage daughter and the screaming match the woman had with this guy was almost more distressing than having some strange guy staring at me as I frantically threw my clothes on. I complained to the company and they didnt do anything but next time I saw that same front desk person he just stood in the locker room door and yelled 15 minute warnings the last hour rather than walking all the way through. Its too bad theyre the only gym around with a pool...I feel like no one cared but me when I stopped going there. I like going swimming, but when the only time you have to go is later in the day because of your work schedule, its just not a good experience to be harassed in the locker room and hear staff fighting with customers.

This could be a good gym, but it suffers from mismanagement, or more like a lack of management. A number of problems with this -- and its no different than the other LAFitness gyms ive been to (Milford, Hamden): 1. No one supervises the weight room, and so there are free weights -- plates, dumbbells, barbells, you name it -- everywhere, and no one racks their weights, or puts them back where they belong. In addition to being annoying, because its so hard to track down what you want to use, its also a safety hazard. If you work with a trainer, too much time -- expensive time! -- is wasted trying to find plates and weights. 2. Some of the aerobics and spinning instructors refuse to leave the doors into their rooms closed, and yet have their "music" blaring loud, interfering with the music that LA Fitness pipes in, and making it impossible to use your own listening device and ear plugs. Its that loud. Adding insult to injury the spinning instructors are screaming into their microphones, so that you can hear them in every corner of the gym. 3. The mens locker room is a mess.

Do not subscribe to more than month to month payments and do not make automatic payments. LA Fitness in Orange perpetrated corporate fraud with continued monthly payment deduction from my checking account for 60 days after conclusion of a service agreement to the tune of about $900. They will 1. misrepresent their personal training contracts 2. lie about remedying overcharges I contacted my banks fraud department and they are conducting an investigation to get back what should have been refunded in a reasonable time (i.e. within 30 days of the request- seems reasonable to me) PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER GYM- PLANET FITNESS WAS MUCH MORE ETHICAL

I have CT multi-location. When I went into different location. they give me hard time. I tried to cancel, they give me more hard time. I called. they said, i have to cancel in person. I went into the LA fitness to cancel, they told me I have to be there 9-4 when the operation manager is there. I told them I can not be there during those hour because I have a job. Finally they said, I can try to call. I call during business hour....call... they said the operation manager is not there. I can go to any near by LA fitness Center to cancel. Finally.... I said, let call Credit Card company to cancel my credit card to end this.

A nationwide corporation like LA fitness needs to have staffs who are great in customer service. I have no idea why LA is not supervising the behavior of its crews with customers. I have been to other LA Fitness they have had very nice behavior, but this one is s....ks....the majority of staff are good, but one of the racist manager "William Hernandez" makes me pissed of every time he is in LA Fitness... I used to think that America is going toward a post racial society, but every time this racist manager makes mw feel negative... I will cancel my membership soon...

If I could give no stars I would. This place is a joke. I literally walked in waiting for my fiance and this trainer comes up to me and cursing at my to lift some f###### weights..... like whattt. And then the manager is a mess probably doesnt know hes even working at a gym. And the reception lady gives me a headache shes screaming at the computer and the employees like hello im here trying to check in. Never again. I feel judged here and its just weird.

Stay Away from this club. Will never recommend anybody for this club. Even if you go then avoid the gym club sales man like Nikolas & some other folks. Mike is the only guy is okay and helps. Most important is signing the agreement. Make sure you don’t sign on the electronic pad rather you sign on the print out only after you read it. You must check that options check boxes are checked before signing the papers .

This place used to be good when the staff treated it like a gym. Now there are teenagers treating the pool, spa, locker rooms and other facilities like a summer camp facility year round. I assume its not just the staff but also the kind of patrons that are sending their kids to a gym to play. Wish there was something else with similar facilities in the area.

I am a current member of the Orange location,the biggest complaint I have is that I love the cycling classes, but is very hard to find a bicycle that doesnt wobble ,even though there are a good amount, most of them move around when exercising. PLEASE MAINTENANCE! !!!
