NEVER NEVER NEVER do business with this company. After purchasing a 6 core processor computer here, it blew out a few weeks later, as they gave us a 500 watt power supply which was not adequate to run the computer. We brought it in to have repaired under the warranty, and after 2 1/2 weeks, the part needed to repair the computer had still not arrived, although Dan insisted that he had ordered it. We couldnt wait any longer for it to be repaired (as this is a work computer in order to run our businesses), and felt like we were getting the run around, so we called and said we were going to pick it up and bring it elsewhere for repair. Two times he said hed be open for us to pick it up, though when we stopped by he was closed. Third time we went to get it, our computer was in pieces around his store, and when we got it home realized that some of the RAM included when we bought the computer originally was missing. We called him saying we needed to pick up the missing RAM, he said hed have it for us when we came by. Again he said hed be open, and when we stopped by he was closed. When we finally caught him on a day he was open, he refused to give it to us, saying he sold it to another customer, but would give us a larger RAM and wanted to charge us for it, to which we said forget it. In any case, we brought it to another repair place and spent $160 to have it fixed. Got it back, but a few weeks later, were having more problems-it stopped booting up, and it is back to the repair shop for a possible motherboard, or CPU processor replacement, of which the repair will come out of our pockets once again. We are going to take him to small claims court, as well as report to the BBB, as another customer here has said they did.

Updated Review 11/16/2011: Everything was great until the power supply on the machine I was sold went out two months later. Dan held on to my machine for nearly three weeks. Each time I called for an update I was put off. "Waiting for part to come in", "I think it might be the motherboard" on and on but never a firm answer. I finally got fed up and went to pick up my machine only to find it in PIECES. My ram was resting on the arm of chair, hard drive in one room, MOBO and processor sitting on table, case in pieces. It took Dan 30 minutes just to find everything. I took the machine elsewhere for repair they had it back to me the next day though I had to pay $168.00 for what SHOULD have been a warranty repair covered by Dan Perez. This has been a rather disappointing experience as Dan was very responsive and accommodating at first but it seems that is only when he wants to SELL you something, God help you if you need to bring your machine back to be fixed at his cost under the warranty as stated on his invoice. I cannot recommend Bear Computer Repair or Daniel Perez under any circumstances. Original Review: Great service, great communication. Calls and e-mails returned quickly, they built me an awesome machine at a great price. Dont bother buying a new computer from one of the big box retailers. Daniel and his staff can build you a machine customized to your budget and needs.

I agree with everything Tim(Below me) said. I recently left this place of business. I worked for Dan Perez for 6 weeks and payed me for about 3. And for the time he did pay me for the check bounced. He refuses to pay all of his employees. I worked as a tech and duh this guy out of an early grave. worked 70 hours a week for 2 weeks to receive $260. He hires 15 year olds with no working papers, who he still hasnt paid. and spends customers deposits for parts on lunch and video games. This is why customers are still waiting for parts to come in the mail that havent even been ordered. Dan does not know how to run a business. He has his office employees make gmail accounts and put 5 star reviews to make them look good. Do not go here, do not Work here. Do not even think about it. This guy does not have business insurance so do NOT leave your items at this store. and DO NOT try to get a job working here.

I have been working on machines for a long time. Im no expert, by any means - but am able to work around most "computer issues" myself. Well, I had a boot issue that my 25 years experience couldnt resolve. Dan stepped in and reviewed the situation carefully before "jumping in head first." All the while he worked with me to resolve the missing file issue. He resolved the issue quickly. . . .and he didnt draw blood for a service fee. In other words: "A great job - at a reasonable price!" I will recommend his service, because hes a sharp guy who gets the job done! Thanks, Dan - and good luck to you! . . ."hal"

This has got to be the worst out of all of the reviews, after getting a VERY expensive gaming computer from a friend it seemed as though there was a problem starting up so I brought it there to get it checked out, after AVOIDING me for days and saying that he would be there and he wasnt I finally caught him on a day he was there where he told me HE SOLD MY COMPUTER! I didnt even get anything in return. This place is a total scam and should be shut down IMMEDIATELY! Im sad to give this place a review of ONE star I wish there was a button for complete waste of time.

Make sure to check all reviews before considering these guys. Not to be trusted since Ive seen how they have completely f@%$ed customers over. Have them service your computer if you are foolish and like to waste your time and money. I had a friend who had brought their iPhone there to be fixed and after months of waiting and $60 later it was returned with NO PARTS INSIDE!!!. There is absolutely no excuse for this unprofessional behavior and I only hope they make some changes or theyll be out of business soon.

They claim that they fix ipod yet, they have have been "fixing" it since march.. it is now augest. They continue to break more parts and lie about reasons of why they didnt do their job and ask for more money. Find another place unless you like being ripped off by some fat guy.
